William B's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Food was decent but not great for the price. Jack Binions at the Horse Shoe is much better for the price. The place is nice, but we expected better food. I had the lamb and the misses had the fillet. The gnats were terrible in the restaurant and the hotel bar.
Beef Tips appetizer was great, sweet tea was not sweet enough, I asked for a medium well steak and it came out well done, my husband asked for a well done salmon and it came out medium. The venue was a great one for my husband’s bday and the bday cake slice was delicious. The price is reasonable compared to others.
Enjoyed our dining experience! The food was great (we both had a filet with prawns, a "special" for $32 which was a good price). The service was excellent. We were seated immediately, and we had the good fortune to have Samuel as our waiter! He was just so gracious, attentive & friendly & that made the whole evening even better!
We always enjoy eating at William B's, and this time was no exception. The food and atmosphere is excellent and the service is outstanding. This night our waiter was Larry, he has been at William B's for 25 years and it is always a pleasure to have him as our server.
We had not eaten at William B's in several years and were pleasantly surprised with the updated menu and the excellent quality of the dishes we ordered.
However, the most outstanding aspect was the service from our waiter whose name I sadly cannot recall. He was so pleasant, prompt, and knew the menu well. And it was evident that he really enjoyed his job.
I would certainly recommend an evening there.
OMG outstanding! We went to William B's for our 38th Anniversary. The bone-in ribeye was to die for and the fried shrimp were superb! We ordered the house salad which was served unique in appearance and very delicious. Can't say enough about our special dinner. Please try this restaurant and be sure and ask for server Larry. He will definitely make your dining experience memorable!
My husband and I took my grandmother to William B's Steakhouse after the Horseshoe was completely booked for the evening. I wasn't too sure about it because I'd never really heard much about the restaurant before. Also - I've been to Shreveport before and you have to keep your expectations pretty low when it comes to steak. It seems as if the chefs there can never cook a steak anything but well and well done.
However, I was blown away by William B's! Our server Hoira was wonderful! We decided to have a glass of champagne and she even brought a little over for my Nana to toast to happiness and good fortune, which was really sweet. Hoira was on top of our every need and kept our glasses full.
The food itself was awesome. I ordered a medium steak and that's exactly what I received. It was sparingly flavored with just pepper and salt on the meat but my husband and I ordered the peppercorn sauce and man, it just rocked! The baked potato was perfectly cooked as well.
We were so stuffed from champagne, steak, bread and potatoes that we turned down dessert but they all looked delicious. We had such a great experience that we've decided to make it our tradition every time we visit Shreveport!
This was by far the most enjoyable meal we have had in a long time. From the fried oyster appetizer to the key lime creme brule dessert the food was expertly prepared. My husband had the rib eye steak at a perfect medium rare. We shared augratin potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were done in the wood fired oven and so had a lovely smokey flavor. I had the crab stuffed sea bass. Again perfectly prepared with crispy skin and an accompanied by lobster mashed potatoes. (Yes, I had double potatoes!) To top off the experience, we had a lovely French waitress (Horia) who made us feel like special guests in her home. Service was leisurely which was perfect for enjoying this special meal.
Have been to several of the local casino steakhouses and this one was my least favorite. The food selection was minimal, and the overall taste was just ok. Ok as in I could get the same thing at Outback for half the price. We had the Filet and it was nothing special. Husband wanted a side salad, but you have to order a full size salad at the full size price which makes no sense when you are ordering a steak and another side. He got the Caesar and it was very, very fishy so he didn't even eat it.
No drink menus were given and wine, etc. is not listed on menu, so when you order a glass of wine you have no idea what the different brand and price options are.
Normally would not leave a negative review but for the amount we spent the food/experience was sub par.
One positive- it was our anniversary and they gave us a Crème Brule on the house and it was delicious.
