William B's Steakhouse - Blue Chip Casino Ratings and Reviews
We had an early reservation. Arrived and was greeted warmly. Seated and Chris our server arrived promptly. He was personable and knowledgeable. Explained the specials of the day. Took our drink order. Everything was spaced nicely. No soup and salad on top of appetizers which happens frequently at other places. He did not hover over our table but was good about checking on us. The food was as usual wonderful!
My wife’s steak was not prepared correctly- she asked for medium well and received a rare steak. We asked to have it cooked longer and it took 15 minutes to return.
The wait staff made it very uncomfortable when we asked to have 2 separate bills- hard to believe an up scale restaurant finds this mundane tasked overwhelming.
We will not be back
The food here was amazing. I had the Veal Piccata, and my husband had the Ribeye. We both had mashed potatoes as our side, but the side that stood out most was the the LOBSTER MAC N CHEESE. This is a MUST ORDER. It was delicious. I am so glad I chose to spend my birthday dinner here.
I made the reservation for my husbands birthday. We had a great dinner, our server was Sally. She was very polite and told us the specials for the evening and then gave us time to decide what to order. We started with the crab cakes as well as the prime stuffed mushrooms. Husband had the prime rib dinner and chose the Lobster Mac & Cheese (amazing) along with the Brussel sprouts as side dishes. I had one of the special for the evening which was a sirloin with lobster and mushrooms with asparagus on top. The food and service were very good. Had a great evening. We ordered our dessert to take up to our room for later.
Can’t go wrong with the lobster bisque & prime rib. The tuna tartar appetizer was amazing (the special)! A nice Wine list with lots of variety at good bottle prices covering all ranges. The chocolate cake is enough for 4 & absolutely delish! The service is amazing!
The waiter seemed to be bored, it was like talking to a robot. The one downside of this place is that the smoke from the smoking section is all over the restaurant . The drinks are good, the food is good. We had creme brule for desert and it was cold this time. Sometimes is cold, sometimes its warm.
My only complaint would be that it was absolutely freezing at our booth. The blower above us was blowing out cold air the entire time. My husband went to the gift shop to buy me a sweater so that I could still enjoy dinner. The waitress did mention that the booth we were in is always cold and she wasn’t sure why they sat us there.
We ordered crab cakes, bacon-wrapped scallops, stuffed mushrooms, Asian pork belly and for the entree a sea bass. The food was outstanding and of high quality. For example, the crab cakes were real crab without the filling that many restaurants have taken to. The scallops were huge and the food preparation fastidious and beautifully presented.
Great food, atmosphere, and service. We went for New Years Eve and from
the hostess greeting us and seating us to the dessert, it was very good.
Reservation was easy and we were seated at the time requested no long waiting or
too many people where it was congested and unable to relax and enjoy the evening.
bringing in the New Year with good food, friends and family was a great start, Thank you
This last visit to Wm. B's was not up to par, our waiter was seemed to be a bit overwhelmed. Our busser (who was tipped, when he brought the breadbasket) never came back to fill water glasses one time, which left that in the hands of our waiter, which stretched him even further. My steak was overcooked. I didn't send it back, but should have. I ate very little of the steak, but my husband did enjoy it the next day. We usually enjoy each visit to Wm. B's, but this time it was a tad disappointing.
Patrick makes the dinner so special with his knowledge of the wines and his personality. Kathy is more than our server, she is so helpful and engaging.
We dine here often even though we live in Chicago, our daughter and family are in Long Beach.
Smoking is a turn off...so unusual in today's market, next time I will have to remember to ask for a more remote table.
