Will is a modern French inspired BYOB, located on East Passyunk Avenue in the heart of South Philadelphia. Chef and Owner Christopher Kearse, and his team, prepare a menu focused on its season, respecting French traditions along with classic and modern techniques to build a dining experience that evokes entertainment, excitement, and satisfaction.

Hours of operation
We serve dinner five nights a week. Dinner reservations are available Wednesday through Thursday from 5:30p.m. to 10:00p.m. Friday and Saturday from 5:30p.m. to 11:00p.m. We offer a four course Prix Fixe menu on Sunday evening from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Join us every 3rd Tuesday of each month for out ingredient focused tasting menu 5 courses $55. Will BYOB is closed on Monday and Tuesday dinner services.

Parking details
Metered parking is available on the Avenue and in a municipal parking lot between Tasker and Morris for 50 cents per hour with a three hour maximum and free two hour parking is available on side streets.



There is also a Parkway garage on the NW corner of Broad and McKean Streets which offers secure parking just a few steps from the Avenue at affordable rates, including an evening rate of $5 after 5 p.m.

Food very creative and outstanding. Our waiter was attentive and very familiar with our wine choices for the dinner . He offered to decant our Bordeaux and made sure it was poured properly . Will return soon

Miss the old Will BYOB
We came to celebrate a family milestone but were so underwhelmed by the service. The food was fine, nothing special. We had a reservation and the table was not ready, apparently the wait staff was to busy to get it set or just didn’t really care. It’s just hard to enjoy a dinner when the staff seems to feel like they’re doing you a favor.

Not only the food was very good (beautiful presentation) but also our waitstaff Rachel was very sweet and she made us feel like we were her best customer! The end of the dinner we got to meet the chef and owner Christopher Kearse and he was such a friendly person, showed us his kitchen and his kitchen staff. What an amazing night we had!.

Will, hands down, has given me the best dining experience of my life. The servers are attentive and friendly, the food is AMAZING, and Chef Chris is so incredibly humble and just overall a wonderfully delightful person to talk to. I highly recommend the Potato Leek Veloute and the Braised Short Rib, but honestly everything on the menu will make you so happy that you chose to eat at Will. Try the Sunday Prix Fixe if it’s your first time - and make sure to bring your favorite bottle of wine!

Will is never disappointing. Truly one of the cities most creative restaurant, with amazing food, with the finest attention to detail given. Service is phenomenal, and you feel like you are at home. Chef Chris is outstanding, will definitely be back again and again! Do not question going here, just go and enjoy! If gnocchi is on the menu, or duck, get it!

Tasting menu was fantastic. The duck breast (with anise/5-spice crust?) was just perfect. Also, chef adapted on short notice to do a vegetarian tasting menu for my colleague.

My fiancé and I opted for the chef’s tasting menu and it did not disappoint! Two appetizer courses, two main courses and choice between two different desserts. The plates were beautiful! Very artistic and pleasing to the eye. The ingredients were unique, but familiar. There was a real sense that the chef was an expert on combining flavor profiles. I thoroughly enjoyed every plate from start to finish. The servers were excellent , friendly and knowledgeable. And the price was amazing for the quality of food we received. We will definitely be back to Will!

Amazing food .... taste and presentation. Service was A+++ and we had a gluten free diner with us and they made special treatment for him. Best meal I’ve had all year. Sweet potato soup was the best soup I have ever had. Banana pudding was to die for.

Maybe it was because it was Restaurant Week, but we and other tables felt rushed to get out of there. One table next to us was told they had to leave after being there just over an hour.

Restaurant week, in our party most ordered the short ribs that were delicious. A few ordered the escargot and said it was interesting and very different. The terrine was tasty, only comment should have had crackers served of some sort. Would highly recommend the chocolate bouchon for dessert. Will return, service staff was excellent.

In my opinion, Will is the best restaurant in Philly. Chef Kearse executes a suprizing yet well-balanced dining experience with close attention to detail. The staff is friendly and helpful, and accommodations can be made to the diners dietary needs. When I commented to the chef my favorite part of the meal, he immediately gave credit to the other chef who made it. Kearse remains humble and generous while pushing the bourdaries of the dining experience as we know them. Do not miss Will.

The restaurant week "deal" was a complete rip off. The portions were incredibly small. A nearby table was clearly ordering from the regular menu and ate entrees more than 4X larger than the entrees included in the restaurant week deal. I left completely hungry still.

We always have a fantastic time at Will! Chef Chris and team consistently put out great dishes and provide attentive but not overbearing service. Highly recommend prix fixe and themed menu nights -- great way to try things and a good value. Pasta add on dishes are always worth it.

Tried during restaurant week. They gave us all 3 appetizers instead of 2. All very good. However we had to be asked to be served bread, they seemed to walk right by us every time. My short rib was fantastic, yet tiny. Gfs pasta could have been from Applebee's, guess that's her fault for ordering pasta from a french place. Dessert was also very good. Overall an ok experience, good yet tiny portions. Service was lackluster

Chris astounds as always with his creativity and attention to detail. The debate always comes down to what was the most amazing. For many of the dishes, I wouldn't even know what I'm eating except that the incredibly astute server described everything in detail. I've eaten things at Will that sound absolutely ridiculous when you hear what it's made of, yet tastes like heaven. Definitely one of South Philly's gems. 2 can eat here for around a bill. Atmosphere isn't great as it's a tiny place - feels loud and cramped - but this came to our advantage as we made friends and shared beers with the tables around us. Did I mention it's BYO and you can order an impressive selection for delivery from the shop down the street?

Found Will in an online article on BYOBs in Philly. Took a shot and we were not disappointed. Restaurant is small; probably less than 10 tables so it’s a little tight. The food was delicious though and the service was GREAT! They have an a la cart menu or you can choose the Chefs tasting menu for a fixed price. We chose a la cart, but next time we will be sure to try the tasting menu! It was a little noisy, but not terrible. We will return!

Went there for Wednesday tasting menu. Theme was Truffle. Price $65pp++ for a 5 course menu.
While food was decent, there was no trace of truffle except in the ice cream part of the dessert. Felt a little cheated.
Apart from this, restaurant is small but nice. Service was good, but rushed. Due to the size of the place, it seems that they have to turn tables over a couple times per night. I would certainly not recommend the first few early seatings for a romantic dinner.
Food, again, was decent but nothing to really rave about...

The food was excellent, and the plates were portioned well. The lack of a dedicated server for each table was a bit distracting because that's part of the experience of eating out, you know? In addition, the time between courses was rather short and an unmet request to have a little more time before the dessert was a little frustrating. Those factors did not take away from the overall experience because the food tasted as good as a restaurant in Rittenhouse without breaking the bank as much.

While my first visit was superior, my second would still cement Will as among the best restaurants in Philadelphia. I'd say the food was a bit less interesting this time around - and that's really my primary reason for going out to a restaurant.

Girlfriend and I went to Will BYOB for an early Valentine’s Day dinner. Very romantic quaint venue. Staff was the nicest and very accommodating. Food was amazing. Tartare, the truffle pasta special, snails, and duck were all delicious. The wagyu beef was a little dry, but still very good. Amazing experience. Great date spot. We will definitely be back.
