Wildflower - Tucson Ratings and Reviews
Wildflower is very consistently good - good food, good service, nice setting. Had very good and sufficiently strong cocktails- old fashions and a Moscow mule. Bread is excellent. Great salad selection and large portion. My wife and I had the short ribs with grits. Fork tender and savory. My sis in law had paella- which she loved (and enjoyed next day for lunch). Service was good and well timed. Wildflower is a pleasure.
Been here a few times and I always have a great time. Awesome food, great service, and excellent attention to detail with both drinks and food. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or just go there with friends for drinks and creative dishes.
Outstanding chefery: i.e., unusual seasonings, very tasty, beautiful presentation, good menu with innovations. Noise level extremely loud. But the restaurant was absolutely full, so that was inevitable. Glad for you for the attendance. The heaters were also extremely hot; wait staff was on the ball turning them down, and she was polite and patient with us. (We thought, facetiously, that we might be asked never to return because we made so many requests - to turn the canned music down, reduce the heat, change tables to get off the rained-on pillows.) But the waitperson was very accommodating. Overall a fine dining experience. We just need to find quieter times to make reservations.
It was my wife and my first time visit. We found the restaurant had plenty of safe parking in back. The restaurant was clean and appealing. The server Dianne was exceptional, as was the food ,drinks and dessert.
We went for lunch and selection was great , their dinner menu looks great also and we will try next time in Tucson, in the evening.
It was a great experience which we will try again when in Tucson!
We were a group of six for my birthday. Everyone in the group is over 65. We were seated in a corner with almost no light and the noise level was so loud we could not hear each other from one side of the table to the other. We had to take out our cell phones and use them as flashlights to read the menu. We were originally seated in a "C" but could not hear each other at all. The waiter brought two chairs so were were now sitting closer and across from each other and we still struggled to have a conversation without shouting. The food was tasty and I can see why it's so popular but for people like us this is a "hostile environment". I doubt we'll go back.
My entree was small and quite oily. I forget the name of the dish, but it had vegetables wrapped in pasta
The restaurant seemed more like a sports bar as it was very noisy.
If it wasn’t for the fact that it was a cool night , we would have picked the patio rather than inside.
Wildflower is a must visit. They have unique, delicious dishes. The cocktails are very yummy and reasonably priced. Their desserts are to die for! I especially enjoyed sitting outside on their patio. The ambiance is wonderful, it's less noisy than inside. Even though the restaurant is on a fairly busy highway, the outdoor patio feels like a lovely escape from all the noise and traffic. There's low lighting, heaters and plants around. The staff are friendly and quick for the most part despite the restaurant being very busy and popular. Definitely get a reservation depending on the day and time of year. Anyways, I absolutely love this restaurant. It was my husband and my anniversary and the dessert chef sent us a lovely dessert (free of charge) with happy anniversary written on the plate in chocolate sauce. It was so delicious too!
I celebrated my birthday dinner with a delicious dinner. My husband shared a fabulous bottle of wine and a dinner of mussels, bouillabaisse, and the world’s best dessert—bars of sin. The manager comped our dessert for my birthday, which was really nice. We love Wildflowers, and we make it a point to take friends there who don’t know what a terrific restaurant it is.
We had dinner at Wildflower on the last night of a one week vacation in sunny Arizona. (We are from Wisconsin where the weather was 50 degrees colder at the time.) Our dinner at Wildflower was by far the best meal we had on the trip, which included mostly 4+ star venues. Prices were surprisingly reasonable and the service provided by Austin was impeccable. He was polite, knowledgeable and efficient. We wish there were Cox restaurants in Wisconsin.
I ate here about.a year ago when I was visiting. It was 4 star all the way. This time we had some hiccups. Two of the four entrees had to be returned. and we waited for our drinks for at least an hour. The manager tried to make up for the problems. I hope the restaurant doesn't continue down this path. I will give them another try because the first experience was so good. The service was impeccable first time.
