Wildflower - Tucson
Wildflower was great all around. The food was super delicious and the cocktails were also enjoyable! It's a great date spot or nice for specials occasions.
Was pretty loud, but the food and the service made up for it... We will be back..
The paella was not really a paella , not even close.
We also had a salmon which was salty and basic taste
Geek salad was awful.
Server was not professional
It was fine. Noise is always an issue there. We sit outside and it’s a little less noisy.
We dine at Wildflower 1-2 times a month. This was the first disappointing experience. Two out of three entrees were wrong. The server was apologetic, but no manager bothered to come to the table. I will think again before booking Wildflower in the future.
We have been to Wildflower on several occasions. It is our "go to" restaurant when people come to visit. The food is exceptional and, once seated, so is the service. The dining room is very loud, making conversation difficult. I always ask for patio seating. This was the second occasion that we made reservations through Open Table. On both occasions, we requested patio seating in the comments section.
On the first occasion, we were told that they didn't notice the patio seating request and that our only option was indoor seating. The most recent reservation was made on Monday, January 14 for Friday, January 18. We arrived on time (6:30) to find that there was no patio seating available. We were offered the excuse that an accident on Ina had backed up previous reservations and that people were lingering longer than expected. We were then offered "terrace" seating, which, after several requests for clarification, we learned was unheated sidewalk seating. We were then offered dining room seating, which, as I have noted, is very loud. We wanted to talk with our out of town guests, and, the noise would have been awful for two party members who have hearing challenges. Quite frankly, we felt as if we were imposing on them. After standing 15 minutes in the very loud dining room and a second offer for "terrace" seating, we were finally seated on the patio. From that point forward, the evening was exceptional. I have no idea if we would have had a different outcome if we had called directly for reservations. We will try that next time.
This was our first time here and I am not sure, after being in Tucson for over 5 years, how we had overlooked this gem! Being a Friday night, reservations are recommended. The soups and pasta are all homemade and I would definitely recommend them. My wife had their grapefruit martini and I had the old fashioned, both were great and the desserts were outstanding. We will be back and probably will be bringing out of town guests with us!
Good food, service and atmosphere but way too noisy. We could barely hear each other.
food is always reliably good.
Not thrilled with menu selections, but what we ordered was very good. Disappointed that the all items on the appetizer sampler were cold (intentionally); I guess we should have asked.
My only criticism is the noise level. Very difficult to hear each other. There tables are so tight together I was glad we had a booth. Both my friend and I enjoyed our salads. She is a local and I also had dinner with my brother and had the same booth. The meal then was excellent.
Excellent food and service, but very loud in the inside dining room. Chef does creative food, yet very comforting food. Nice wine choices.
Ashley did an outstanding job taking care of us. Elisa and Epi are always excellent as well. This is our favorite restaurant. The food is always amazing and never disappoints. The service is top notch consistently.
Food was excellent. Service very good, too. Outdoor patio a delightful environment. Inside trendy but very noisy.
My favorite restaurant. The drinks, appetizers, entrees, and deserts were amazing.
Thank you so much for honoring my request for a quiet booth. It's never really "quiet" at lunch or dinner, but the location of the booth made it easier for my friend and I to have a conversation and to hear one another. Our server, who has served us previously, was delightful, helpful and patient. My friend was grateful that you served her a salad that has typically been on your menu, but wasn't on the printed menu yesterday. Wildflower never disappoints!
Outstanding chicken pot pie and wonderful drinks. We sat outside, even in January, because the heat lamps made it very comfortable. We would all happily go again.
Excellent food and a big favorite for my wife who has allergies. They are creative with the menu and able to easily meet special requests and requirements. The food is very good quality with a bit of uniqueness. The service is very good and is has both inside and outside seating. There are many other restaurants in the area, but Wildflower is usually the busiest which speaks to the quality of the food and service.
all in all good experience. Ordered calamari as appetizer. Rather skimpy serving for the price. Service very good. Noisy, hard to hear.
Birthday dinner. I was very disappointed that the lobster salad was not on the dinner menu. Been going to Wildflower for years and didn’t realize the lobster salad is only on the lunch menu. Had an appetizer - crab salad on bread?? Didn’t like it. Too much mayo. Love the dessert though. Will continue to go to Wildflower but guess it will be lunch!
This is my favorite restaurant in Tucson. I love the farmers market salad. My husband had the salmón. We are never disappointed here.
Very positive experience/ Good food and drinks. Waitress (Kaitlyn - sp?) was terrific. Restaurant is located in a desirable location for other activities and SHOPPING.
First time at Wildflower. Knew it had good reviews. Food was excellent (one meat, one seafood, not many choices for the vegetarian). Service was great. I would give them 5 stars, but it was so loud (I would not call this "Energetic"), we could not carry on a conversation without yelling across the table. I don't know why restaurants don't make an effort to use some kind of noise cancellation or dampening. We all ate our food in silence and left when we finished...
Food is great. Well trained staff. Wonderful to get a birthday treat. Thank you!
I always enjoy a meal at Wildflower! This time we started with the calamari, and had the paella, spinach pappardelle with chicken, and the scallops with black rice. All were wonderful! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable.
Delicious meal from start to finish.
Calamari appetizer very tasty and not greasy. Served with greens in a nice, light sauce. Salmon dish delicious. Paella excellent and beef ravioli. All 3 desserts, butterscotch pudding fabulous, apple tart scrumptious. Least fav was lemon meringue but still tasty
As always we had a great dinner. Our server was exceptional. I had the short ribs with mashed potatoes. Dessert doughnut 🍩 holes so good.
We made a reservation and were set im the worse place in the restaurant right in front of the door when there were plently pf seats available. It was a chilly Tucson evenong on Jan 3. when asked to move the hostess told us sorry there was nothing she could do. At this point we were going to leave but my dad who was celebrating his birthday wanted to stay. We continued to notice after an hour nobody was set in those other seata that would have not been directly in front of the door. ( we had two children with us also) We asked for the manager, Jordan to come to the table and she quickly moved us. The hostess needs to be talked to because she could have lost a good paying table because of her actions . We thank Jordan for saving or experience at dinner.
Have been enjoying Wildflower since it opened. Love the patio. Food is great and always consistent. Service is great. Enjoy Wildflower for a variety of occasions and also take clients to this restaurant because I can always count on good food and service.
Very good food and service
We especially liked the ambiance and the food. We liked the restaurant, and do plan to go back. Our one complaint: We were seated near the door to the terrace, and it was pretty cold every time it was open. The hostess kept standing in the doorway holding the door open, chatting with incoming customers, even after we asked that she please close the door and chat outside or inside (to be fair, we asked our waiter to communicate that to her, but he didn't, or else she chose to ignore the request.)
Otherwise, a pleasant evening.
New Years dinner. We were seated outside in the patio
New Years Eve dinner with a friend was fun, festive, and fabulous food. Our server Holly was lovely! A definite win!
Open Table did text me about 6 times confirming my reservation, including once at 5:15 am. Thinking that was a bit much....
Good price for new years eve good size portions easy in and out
This was a family night out during Xmas break. There were 8 of us, and everyone loved dinner! Wildflower handled food and service in stride, including a number of special requests. Our visitors are from San Francisco and New York, two towns with great food, so we were delighted that all were happy. My wife and I dine here often and love this place!
The food was excellent as was the service.
V good food; service and ambience!
Only bummer to our lovely evening here was a 10 minute wait between sitting down and meeting our server. Really just a case of poor timing because they had 3 larger groups in our section and at least 1 must have arrived shortly before us. Otherwise the server was wonderful, helpful with my questions on the menu and offering options that worked with my food allergies, and generally did a good job keeping in touch with us throughout the evening. Worth the trip every time we come to town.
Beautiful restaurant and great food! I’m sad that it took me so long to try this restaurant. The staff are courteous and helpful. Highly recommend reservations, as it was a Sat night and crowded. The food was amazingly delicious! I was especially surprised, in a good way, by the sweet potato hummus. Yum!!! Overall my only warning is that it was very loud! So much so that it was quite difficult to hear the waiter and even each other at times (party of 4). So just know to expect this level of noise on a weekend night. We were fine with it because there was a vibrant energy that added a positive note to the night. Overall a great experience and I look forward to eating there again next time I’m in town.
Great service, top notch food, overall awesome experience, will be back!
