Normally we always have great service and food. Last night was not. Appetizers came after a really long weight and then the salads came a few minutes later. Really not acceptable in this kind of restaurant. Then another long weight. Plates came out at different times. Again really not acceptable. Out of the four entries one was really good a beef dish. Two had the fish tacos that was mostly cabbage, and I had the fish special. The fish was good but the plate looked empty! Come on guys get it together! We like this restaurant and is our go to but was a disappointment this night to us and our friends from out of town.
Prices are high with small portions. Noise level was also high.
Delicious meal! Each of us cleaned our plates. Our server, Sandor, was a delight. Noise level made conversation challenging.
The food at Wildflower never disappoints. Anytime I visit the Tucson area we make it a point to have at least one meal there. My favorite dish is the pappardelle. It is so good. I would like the bowl if I could. Luckily, they serve bread at the table so none of the delicious broth is wasted. We finished our meal with the doughnuts and custard and it was the perfect ending. This will always be a favorite in my book!
First time there! Excellent service and delicious food. Comfortable seating, cute bar area, a little noisy but still fine for conversation. I will return soon.
We go here for our special occasions and LOVE the mussels. It can be and is quite LOUD so if you want to have a quiet evening, it is not the place for you. The food is great as are my favorite, Thai Basil martinis.
Inside seating was very noisy, much better outside. Service was slow and we had to request to have the heater turned on 3 times. Bread came with the meal and we would expect that to be served before, as many tables were. Food was good although very rich. The chefs board appetizer was very good and varied.
Our third time here over two year period. We are likely to be in a 4th time before leaving Tucson next week to return to Michigan. The pork tenderloin was possibly the best I've ever had and my husband raved about his trout special as well. Was not a fan of the old-fashioned nor did the white wine list excite me but that is small potatoes in the course of the evening. Bread was to die for and our waiter generously brought us more. We ate on the patio. I would not be interested in dining inside. It felt too cold and loud. We did miss some shrimp dish that we'd heartily enjoyed (from happy hour menu 2 years ago) Keep up the good work.
Delicious meal. Loved the scallops! Bars of sin were amazingly good!
Upon arriving the noise level was too loud. Wish we could have eaten out on the patio. After adjusting somewhat to the loudness , we found the roasted chicken the best
we have ever eaten- excellent! My roasted scallops were absolutely outstanding . In fact ,the best I have ever had also.
Service was efficient and pleasant
Just wish they could put Acoustical tiles to deaden the noise. It was not a relaxing environment but we will be back requesting the patio sitting.
Really delicious food, great service, very pleasant wait staff and hosts.
The server was particularly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, although my salmon was a bit overcooked and dry. Overall, however, Wildflower is one of my go-to restaurants, especially for a lunch with friends or business colleagues. It can be loud at dinner, but it's a fair tradeoff for such a great ambiance and reliably good food.
We fell in love with this restaurant 10 years ago when we dined here for a 10th anniversary. We took two of our children while visiting Tucson recently. It was the best meal we ate on our trip...though definitely not the most expensive. We loved every dish we ordered. Even my 6 year old said her chicken nuggets were the best she had EVER tasted. Thanks for a magical evening!
Food was excellent, service was great.
Lunch was a little disappointing. I had bbq chicken tacos, and they were a little cold and the ingredients were few and rather ordinary.
Service was excellent. Our server was attentive and helpful with our menu selections. The food was fresh and flavorful.
We tried three different pastas, the farmer salad, wine, and coffee. Everything was delicious. The service was professional and friendly. The patio is charming. We'll be back!
The only issue was the grilled artichoke. We could get much off the the choke...tough. This is not usual, actually the first time we encountered this issue.
Eat here all the time!
We had tickets for a show and needed to have an early dinner with quick efficient service. Wildflower accommodated effortlessly. The food was great and the service was excellent!
We love this place!
We always have enjoyed eating dinner at Wildflower. This time we went for lunch on a Friday at 1:30. It had been busy, but they cleared a table for us in a timely manner. We ordered the farmers market salad with grilled salmon and split it. It was very tasty with a unique blend of different veggies, goat cheese, Marconi almonds and salad. The salmon was great! The warm bread and olive oil blended with Parmesan and other spices and herbs was very good. We enjoyed our lunch very much!
A very nice place to take friends although we feel that it’s a tad overpriced. We enjoy the patio since the inner part is a bit noisy and hard to hear in.
Very good menu choices, friendly, knowledgeable service, great food
This is #1 on our "go to" list for guests. The food, ambiance, and service can't be beat. When available, patio seating is ideal, especially for conversation.
We all three loved our meal and thought Michelle, was a fabulous and delightful server!
Would rather have sat on the patio as the dining room is always noisy since the place is so popular. Calamari app and Paella entree were fine but maybe just a touch above average with not a lot distinctive flavors. Service attentive, bread and olive oil outstanding
Excellent food, service, and ambience. We have had several good meals there.
Excellent experience! Shared both the short rib ravioli and the farmer's market salad (beet, butternut squash, brussels sprouts, quinoa, marcona almonds, etc.) and both were perfectly prepared and generous portions. Parmesan ciabatta bread was great with herbed dipping oil. What a treat with 1/2-priced wine on Tuesdays too. Server was outstanding-- friendly, attentive, anticipated our needs-- just wonderful. Looking forward to returning next year when we stay in Tucson again.
After reading reviews were were thinking we would have a wonderful dinner, “didn’t happen”. The Farmer’s Market Salad and Paella were very average but the Chef’s Board was great. The service was good but we will not be returning.
My paella lacked in real Spanish flavor (I'e had it in Spain) and included little of seafood other than small shrimp.
We can always count on Wildflower for a wonderful evening!
I've loved Wild Flower since it opened. The Sam Fox restaurants always appeal to me...my daughter worked for him at his very first restaurant on the Rillito River bank...Gilligan's.
Yesterday I ordered my favorite appetizer as my lunch, the smoked salmon with potato galette. YUM!
Excellent service and tasty options. It's a lovely place with outdoor seating. The heaters on the patio make a cool night enjoyable. We will come back again when we're in town.
Wildflower is a fabmily favorite for special occasions. This weekend's birthday celebration did not disappoint. Excellent menu selections including options for the guest of honor who has a severe gluten and dairy allergy. Flavi provided outstanding service! We will be back!!
Good food. Sooo noisy.
Excellent in all respects, though outdoor seating is much quieter. The inside space is very loud. But great food, excellent service.
It is so noisy you can't hear your neighbor but the food is delicious and varied. Nice wine selections
We have dined here on several occasions and the food is always good. But this time we were unlucky - our table was squashed between two noisy groups - made it very hard to talk. We should perhaps have waited for another table. The service was also a little frenetic because the restaurant was busy, but then it's always busy. We will probably dine here again but it won't be for a while.
great food (selection, quality, taste), great service, bit loud
As usual Wildflower does not disappoint. Meals were delicious and perfect portions. For the high quality of food the prices are reasonable.
Donuts are always a must have for dessert. ......always!
As visitors to Tucson, we dined at Wildflower twice - after church on a Sunday for my husband and me, and then we brought a friend from Sedona there for lunch when she was in town. The food was outstanding both times. The staff was kind and seated us in good locations. The noise level is very high inside the restaurant. Our first meal was outside, which was much better. The second visit, with our friend, we were seated inside, at a corner banquette, where the sound level was acceptable.
