Wildflower - Tucson
We had 8:30pm reservations and were seated at 9:45pm. They claimed it was because it was raining. Though I’m not sure how it raining changes my reservation...
Food was great as usual but for management to allow this to happen and compensate the guests nothing (this happened to several customers) is really pretty inexcusable.
As always dining at Wildflower with a pleasant experience. It was Valentine’s Day and it was very crowded but we had a table on the patio and the food was excellent.
Patio is nice. Inside can be loud. Excellent food and service
First time Tucson visit w/brother& wife. It was just what we needed. Alex, waiter, was so amazing! He’s a star! Attentive, accommodating, funny & friendly. We’ll be back for sure!
Food and service was amazing!
We have been to Wildflower several times and enjoy the outside dining. Even though it was a cool evening the heaters and enclosure made it very pleasant. The spinach salad is the best and loved the fish and chips!
My husband and I celebrated Valentines Day dinner a night early because he worked Thursday. Neither of us had been to Wildflower and needless to say we were thoroughly impressed and will return. It wasn’t Valentine’s Day but I did mention that we were celebrating it that night instead and Wildflower went above and beyond to make our experience special.
Friendly and efficient servers.. unique and outstanding menu choices..
Fresh really tasty food!
Loved being able to order half an entree salad at lunch!
The sweet potato hummus was terrific!
The sticky toffee pudding dessert of the day was out of this world yummy!
We were a group of 6, and we had a wonderful dinner. Everything was outstanding.
Consistently great food with interesting nuances in the cuisine. The short rib ravioli was outstanding. The service is always excellent. Ashley took care of us and did a great job!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Wildflower and were not disappointed. Our server was wonderful and prompt. The food was delicious. My husband really enjoyed the chicken pot pie, and I loved the salmon. We will definitely return!
Best farm salad I have ever had!! The rest of the meal was excellent.
With high expectations for this Tucson original, my family was disappointed in the menu concept and execution. Inauthentic flavors that seemed more like a bored chef’s experiments than excellent execution of a dish that hews closer to a classic recipe. Above average service from attnetive servers and tasty cocktails helped make up for an underwhelming food experience.
I would definitely recommend this Tucson treasure. The food is always great and eat here often, espcaily when friends and family are in town. They give great reviews also.
It was really lovely sitting at the enclosed outdoor patio - definitely quieter than inside the restaurant. Wonderful selection of lunch salads and entrees. Great service - we were meeting out of town friends for lunch and the server was so kind in letting us linger a bit to chat after our meal.
NY Sirloin Steak was grisly and a little underdone. Tables were too tight together. It was quite loud.
Outstanding quality (as usual)
Love the grilled artichoke. Also ordet the lobster salad off menu. Absolutely the best.
We were a party of 6 eating an early dinner. Seated immediately. Wonderful server, Ashlee! Some inventive cocktail options (esp. Paloma) and good wine list, both by bottle and glass. Salads were excellent all around. Chef's board served 2 as shared entree - delightful. Spinach Pappardelle was great. BBQ Chicken Tacos were a hit. My Grilled Shrimp and Avocado was very flavorful and creative. Only complaint - Short Rib Ravioli was overly rich and too salty. Perhaps unrealistic expectations on that diner's part. No room for dessert. Our second time there, but won't be our last.
Every year we return to Tucson and to Wildflower for their amazing Kale Salad. Never a disappointment
Food was superb - everyone enjoyed it. Server was fun and attentive. What was difficult was the noise level and temperature. We FROZE and were inside! And we could not converse at all.
I would sit in the patio area and avoid the dining room when totally booked. We were a party of five and could only hear the person next to you. It was exhausting trying to hear and follow a conversation. Even the server had to yell to be heard. Please do something about the noise level. The food is fabulous and love the decor.
The inside was so loud that we had to shout to be heard. The food was alright, nothing to write home about. Very busy even for a Wednesday night. Overall, very "meh", would probably not return.
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant. The service, food and atmosphere were excellent; especially the complimentary birthday dessert.
4 birthdays. Way too noisy inside. We could barely hear ourselves talk Will eat on patio next time
The food was very good with inventive and interesting flavor combinations. Unfortunately, I am always put off by servings that are too large. Our entire party could barely manage to third of our entrees, which suggests a very high level of waste. I would gladly pay the same for smaller portions, which would make for more attractive platings, less waste and higher margins for the restaurant. On top of this the high noise levels, admittedly at a busy time, made the dining experience less than pleasant
We love wildflower and have been coming here for years. Our only criticism is the outrageous noise level indoors. Last night it was out of control. Our out of town guests loved the food but it was almost impossible to have any sort of nice conversation due to the noise. We always try to sit outside as it is much more pleasant and the noise is not an issue there. Not sure what Wildflower can do about it indoors.
Wildflower always gives a consistently great meal. We went for my birthday because the greatest dessert in the world is here—bars of sin. Even if my barramundi wasn’t perfect, which it was, this is the best reason in the world for any chocolate lover to come here. The fact that all wine bottles on their list is 50%off every Tuesday only adds to the perfection.
We are from out of town. Met some old friends for dinner.
Food and service was excellent! Made a reservation on open table 7 Days in advance requesting outdoor seating. I confirmed my res with OT on 3 different occasions. When we arrived, we were told by manager that outdoor seating was not available (even though upon arrival there were many tables). We were finally seated outside with management reluctance and during our dinner, noticed tables outside were still available. This is the 2nd time this has happened. We enjoy this restaurant and will continue to frequent but will definitely call ahead after making res to confirm outdoor seating. On another note, unfortunately we accidentally spilled a glass of wine, not only did our waitress bring towels soaked in tonic water and little packets of Shout but replaced our glass of spilled wine. Very impressive with GREAT customer service.
Wait staff to greeter were terrific, they sat us on time. Food was great and hot, most restaurants have a hard time doing this! The server even tried to redo a dinner for me but I had fish and chip friends had scallops, all great ! One of our go to places for fish, that’s hard here in Tucson! Will be back!
I’m so used to such a good experience here but this time it was terrible!
We had great food and service! Nice energy and ambiance. Wildflower is a consistent experience.
Consistently great fare and on this visit outstanding service.
Food was amazing. The dining room is noisy but the patio is wonderful. Had an awesome girls night dinner.
Food and service is superb. The only downside - very noisy. So, if that is a concern, this is not the restaurant for you. There are quieter parts of the restaurant - booths along the wall.
We were seated by the door, needless to say every time it was opened we got a rush of air. Never ever thought that was going to be a problem with wildflower. Asked our server about that, she suggested we ask for a booth next time. The hostess told us we could wait 15 min for another table. Not an option for us. We will think carefully about returning. Our food was very good, service fine.
We have been to Wildflower several times, this time took some friends who were in town. Two were vegan and were very happy with the choices. All meals were well prepared and very good. It tends to be on the noisy side but conversation was not an issue. Restaurant was not full when we arrived 7:15, but empty at empty at 8:30, still our meals came closer to the end.
The chicken and short rib dishes we had were both exceptional. Herself said the rib was the best she'd had in years. Sides were done without being overcooked. The farmer's salad was wonderfully satisfying. We come through Tucson in February each year, and unlike some eateries, this one seems to get a little better every time we visit.
We took 3 family members who were visiting. All loved a number of menu options and found the entrees they selected to me excellent. Our server was attentive and we enjoyed conversing with him. We were seated inside—had hoped for patio seating. Fortunately, the tables inside are arranged so we didn’t feel as though we were part of the conversations going on around us. The noise level makes it a bit difficult to converse, especially for anyone with a slight hearing problem. The only complaint by everyone in our group is the table legs—difficult to find a comfortable place for our feet and difficult to get around the legs to get in and out.
