Wildflower - Tucson
Daily 11am - 4pm
Daily 3pm - 6pm
Very crowded waited more than 10 minutes to be waited on. Once ordered food showed up very quick.
I always enjoy WILDFLOWER. It's my favorite "go to" restaurant in Tucson. The menu is interesting and the food is good. The servers are very very nice.
Outstanding service with comfortable indoor and outdoor dining. Make a reservation; it can be busy.
We were not rushed. We could order as we go. No one kept asking how our food was (a pet peeve as the establishment should assume it’s good) and no one took plates away feverishly (another pet peeve as I am a slow eater and whisking plates away makes me feel rushed — also respects we are dining together and we finish together.)
Food was not salty and seasoned modestly. I appreciate that. Wine selection was very nice.
Very professional in all respects.
We were at Wildflower earlier than usual (4:30pm) and we were able to eat inside. It is usually painfully loud inside and choose the patio most of the time. This time the noise was low when we arrived and moderate when we left. The food was good. We had Calamari, which could be a little crispier , but the flavor was delicious. I had Sea Bass (delicious) and my husband had the steak that was covered in the broccoli. All in all we had a very nice time. Service was good, too.
We have eaten at Wildflower many times for lunch and have always enjoyed the food and service.
This time we went with friend for dinner on a Saturday evening. The service was up to par but the food was not. We paid almost $30 dollar for a small portion of sea bass. We shared the sweet potato hummus that was awesome a week before during lunch but this time the "roasted" brussel sprouts in the hummus were rock hard and almost raw - SO disappointing! I had a slice of lemon "meringue" pie - the "meringue" was a gloppy gooey blob on top of the lemon.
I guess we will stick to lunch in the future as I'm guessing it is a different kitchen staff who knows how to cook.
Wildflower is the favorite restaurant of my youngest son and his husband, it is a must for every visit to see us from Seattle. Service is always great and the food is awesome! We also have a couple of friends who always make it our “go to” restaurant for out get togethers! Keep up the great work!
Wonderful experience as always. We all had Greek salads and the atmosphere is so pretty on the patio in the afternoon.
We have been wanting to go for quite sometime for dinner and we were not disappointed. Food was excellent, the best fish and chips I have had in quite sometime. Mussels were excellent along with both our salads. Service got off too a slow start but she kicked in gear and did an outstanding job.
Don’t miss the chance, great place to eat
Food was excellent as well as the service. A bit to noisy inside. Maybe some short fancy dividers on the booth backs would help some. Maybe some soft decorations on walls. A partition between dining area and bar. We sat in a booth across the room from the bar and could hear 3 ladies conversation. Very nice place. We will definitely dine there again.
Quality, tasty food and service in a very nice outdoor setting. Reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
Wildflower is consistently good. I have to get the Chef's Board at every visit...delicious. There are good options for gluten-free and vegetarian diets. They pour a nice drink and have an interesting cocktail menu.
Ate on the patio outside. It was a nice night and it keep the noise level at a pleasant level. The food was very good and the variety was wonderful.. as was the choice of wines. We had two starters and our mains and shared a dessert. All was yummy but a bit too heavy handed on the herbs.. you know that rosemary! The service was okay but it got busier and busier as the night went on.. What made it a value was the purchase of gift cards at Costco for $79.99 for a $100 value!
We are visiting from Oklahoma. Wildflower was a great find. The food is fresh and delicious. They have an excellent wine selection and I had one of the most fabulous deserts I’ve ever had!
Scallop dish is a winner, salads are superb, paella is not a paella, it is rice with a variety of seafood with no taste of safron.
NY steak is excellent as it has the flavor that comes from a wood fired grill.
Three major issues for me: 1. While the food was tasty, the portion was way too small. 2. the price was out of line for the small portion. 3. It was noisy to the extent it was hard for the four of us to have a conversation.
Wildflower is what you'd expect from a Fox Restaurant. Food and service were very good. Certainly, worth the price point. The only disappointment was the noise. We were at a table next to the bar and did not have a table on one other side. There was only one (quiet) person at the bar near us and the tables around us were 4 tops but no one was loud. We couldn't figure out why the noise and why we had to shout to be heard at a table of four - and no, none of had or needs hearing aids. It was just loud. So, the lessons we learned was to be seated outside - if you're not into loud.
Was a good 30 minutes from Starr Pass - just FYI - if you're coming from that direction, might want to consider some of the good Tucson restaurants downtown - just saying.
Would give Wildflower above 3 below 4 stars.
We were able to be seated outside for dinner even though we happened to arrive 30 minutes before our reservation. Wildflower would serve well for an enjoyable basic date night or family dining, teenage or older. Would NOT suggest for young children. Weather permitting, I would suggest the outside seating as it was notably softer and more comfortable for dinning than the interior. Inside was much lauder and to me it generally lacked the calm, relaxed feel.
Over all this dinner was enjoyable. The cost was fairly reasonable. Don’t think we would have dinner here weekly or even monthly, the menu doesn’t really support it but it is nice for change of pace.
We were a modest group of two, celebrating the birthday of my teenage daughter. Just a lovely ambience with a kind waitress, who was clearly rushed off her feet, but in control and on top of our order and needs. They graciously acknowledged the birthday with a decorated desert and a candle. Not too overwhelming for a self-conscious girl, but worthy of note. Very kindly done. Outstanding pork tenderloin entree and tasty white wine. I've never had a bad experience at Wildflower. I'd guess this had been my 8th time visiting in the past few years.
Noisy - asked for booth or quiet table to discuss business - seated by kitchen - a lot of ambient noise.
We stopped in Wildflower for dinner on a quick trip to our house in Tucson. Happy to see many favorites still on the menu along with a few new items. Seems to have been either a new 'class' of waitstaff or some type of peptalk meeting, because everyone was very solicitous, a bit too much really. Not sure we need to be quite that cozy with our servers. They were all good, just over enthusiastic.
Food was great, atmosphere great. We will return next year to see if the staff has 'mellowed'!
Consistent and excellent - quick service with a smile.
I went with a group of colleagues, everyone was more than pleased with their meal. I was a great place.
Met an old friend for lunch and ate outside. Easy to have a conversation unless a fire truck was going by. Enjoyed my tuna salad....would appreciate other low sodium options. Food tasted fresh and not heavily seasoned. I will go again.
This was our second visit and it is our favorite restaurant in Tucson. We love it and will be back!
Outstanding place. I had the barramundi it was wonderful. Our server was the best. Very attentive and funny. We loved this place.
food is predictably perfectly prepared; patio dining ideal in modrate weather, inside is much too noisy for table conversation with highly acoustically reflective surfaces. menu is somewhat upscale, appropriately focused, with engaging specials.
I’ve always had the grilled Ahi salad there, but it was very disappointing this time! The Ahi was not rare as it supposed to be, and the color was GRAYISH, looks like it was old! The server took it back, and replaced the fish.. buried in the salad..this dish has been on the menu for years, the taste and presentation was much better! What changed, and why?
Our server is a very nice young man...
Have eaten here often. Food is always great and staff always helpful.
Always enjoy our dining here. Menu has not changed over the years and may be time for some innovation to peak the interest of longtime patrons. But they know how to execute the current menu. Our waitress, Holly was wonderful. She is to be commended for her professionalism and friendliness.
We looove Wildflower, always good food great service. The only complaint or room for improvement would be the acoustics inside, it is very loud inside.
Food was delicious and the service was outstanding! Will definitely eat there again.
Great food in a nice dining room.
The service from Robin was amazing, and the food was great- and right on time. They remembered my parents anniversary- which I listed as I reserved the table. Sat outside on a wonderful evening, stayed late and never felt rushed at all. Just wonderful.
If something could be done about the noise level, it would be ideal.
It was wonderful.
Wild Flower is the crown jewel in the Fox Restaurant Concepts group. We love eating on the patio and observing the colors change on the mountain peak. The food tends to be consistent as does service.
We were there for lunch which was good. I had spinach salad with bacon, blue cheese crumbles, candied walnuts and Apple slices. It was good but had very little blue cheese or bacon in it for almost $12. It was not a big salad.
Waitress was lovely but we sat for quite a while after we were finished and it was time for check. We had to flag down someone so we could leave. We were not drinking a bottle of wine or having dessert so 15 minutes after we were obviously finished was too long without attention.
Great food and great service! Cannot say enough great things about this place!
I’m so glad we took a chance on Wildflower while visiting from out of town. On every single level, the experience was fantastic.
We started with the HUGE bar board and an incredible bottle of wine (happened to hit the 50% off bottle night!!).
After enjoying the charcuterie board, we decided to head straight toward dessert. My coworker ordered the creme brûlée and I went for the doughnuts. Omg. The beautiful, incredible, sugary, fresh, just prepared doughnuts. They were wonderful.
My only issue with Wildflower is that I live about 1000 miles away. Next time I’m in town, I’m most certainly going back!
First visit to Wildflower. Very nice. Service was excellent! Menu didn't have anything particularly innovative but all of it looked tasty. I had a short tib and it was very good. We will beback.
