Wildfish Seafood Grille - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
Wildfish has a casual yet elegant vibe, tables are private enough to hold a conversation and a moderate bar/happy hour crowd. The food is consistently very good and the menu is adjusted seasonally. Wait staff actually waits to allow time to sip a cocktail, study the menu, catch up with friends, etc. The shrimp stuffed with crab is a big hit. So is the scallops, lobster fried rice, butter fish, roasted beets and brussel sprouts. We introduce friends to Wildfish almost monthly and everyone has enjoyed the experience.
In town for kids baseball tourney and wife and I decided to treat ourselves out. GO HERE. Ask for Peter to serve you if he can. Amazing food and service. Prompt and timely in order. Peter had a great personality and we enjoyed just the right amount of banter with him on the patio. Oh yeah... and the food is a 10 out of 10.
IT WAS A GREAT EVENING WEATHER WISE, SO WE CHOSE TO SIT OUTSIDE. IT WAS A SUNDAY EVENING ABOUT 6:30 AND WE WERE A PARTY OF FOUR. THE DECISION TO SIT OUTSIDE WAS PROABLY NOT A GOOD ONE. THE NOISE FROM THE STREET WAS VERY DISTRACTING AND OFTEN TIMES LOUD. WE WRONGLY ASSUMED THAT WOULD NOT BE THE CASE ON A SUNDAY. ALL THE SERVICES WERE GOOD AND THE FOOD WAS ABOVE AVERAGE. PRICES WERE INDICATIVE OF THE LOCATION. IF WE RETURNED WE WOULD DEFINITELY SIT INSIDE.
Beautiful restaurant. Service was excellent as was the food. However, the TVs st the bar, which is in the center and visible from every table, cheapened the experience. Adding a sports pub feel was not what we wanted. Otherwise everything else was outstanding.
We come every week to eat here because we are in love with the langosta tacos and the cuts are amazing and fresh!
The service it’s perfect, all the servers are really nice and they are checking on you all the time and the food comes in a good time even if it would take a little longer they would let you know depending on your dish; they also give you some bread and butter which are really good.
If you come here you have to taste the créeme brûlée for dessert it’s the best one I ever had!
I recommend you to reserve if you go on the weekend coz it gets full, specially if you want a table outside.
its a little pricy but when you taste the food you would know it’s worth the price.
I was treated to dinner for my birthday at Wildfish by a friend. Our waiter was prompt and courteous and the food was outstanding. We shared the fried oysters and the preparation was superb. They served 5 of them and could have eaten 2 dozen! We also shared a shrimp and crab salad which was terrific. My entree was grouper and the dish was to die for. All in all, a great dining experience. Highly recommended.
We originally went because we had been to a happy hour quite a while back with friends and family and enjoyed the oyster bar.
Friday night we made a reservation for 2. The place was almost empty but we were seated next to a large table of loud customers celebrating a birthday. We had to raise our voices to hear each other speak. We ordered a Sangiovese red wine to start the evening, but it was already starting to go off taste. We were brought another sample to taste but because it was served cold, told it was refrigerated, we declined.. told they don't serve red wine at room temperature. Finally we ordered cocktails instead.
We both ordered the halibut that was delicious!
It was served with an Asian sauce , soy, though, not the best combination for this fabulous tasting ( and expensive $38 ) small piece of fish, no sides included.
We enjoyed the creme brule.
We regularly go out to dinner, to catch up, enjoying a few glasses of red wine and conversation before the meal, and because of the loud noise and the wine, we don't plan to return.
Very nice find. Went here for a birthday with a large group. Reservations made online but last minute changes were accommodated. Wine selection was excellent. Unique mixed drinks. Great appetizer selection. Wait staff was excellent, and the birthday dessert was wonderful.
I have been to Wildfish Grill in the past and enjoyed it very much. However this visit was very disappointing... The filet mignon was very oversalted and the waiter confirmed that other diners had also complained. It was a bit on the dry side even though my steak was medium rare.
I should have sent the steak back but didn't. Salt and pepper shrimp was okay nothing outstanding. Caramel panna cotta was delicious. We felt the presentation especially the steak by itself on a big plate was rather sparse and not very appealing.
The Brussels sprouts were tasty but again on the dry side.
The five of us had a great experience there. At first we were to be seated at a larger table but it was near the kitchen so we requested a smaller table at a booth so we could converse more easily even though it was a little tighter! The hostess had no problem accomodating us even though it was a crowded Saturday night. The service was excellent, attentive and friendly. The menu is large enough to please most people and we felt we received a great value by ordering from the special Restaurant Week menu which included an appetizer (lobster bisque! yummm!), main course with side dish and dessert at one price. There was a good selection of unusual and delicious hand crafted cocktails and the wine list had a wide variety and price range. We had a great time together. Be sure to make a reservation, this is a busy restaurant!
