Wildfish Seafood Grille - Scottsdale Ratings and Reviews
We really enjoyed our dinner at Wildfish. The service was very good. My lobster taco was tasty. My fish was also. The atmosphere was lovely. I like the three levels in the restaurant. It created separate areas. The noise level was not an issue, even in a packed house. We look forward to dining at Wildfish again on our next trip to Scottsdale.
The swordfish was out of this world. Steak ordered medium rare was cooked to perfection. The best creamed spinach side done to perfection - not too mushy. We have been here at least 5 times and we are never disappointed in the quality of the food and service.
They honored our special occasion very nicely. Our waiter was attentive and efficient but was not trained in how to recommend the wines. The wonderful Seabass entre was made less desirable by the terrible salad. It was supposed to be arugula and came out with spinach -- too much goat cheese and oil -- soaking and funky flavor. A sour note, for a highly rated establishment.
While I get that Southwest Cuisine is different from Texas or Midwestern Cuisine, I still would much rather have some salt and pepper rather than having everything seasoned with Chipotle and other Southwest type spices. We had the shrimp stuffed with crab and while it was very good it would have been better without all the Southwest type seasoning. But we were all in Phoenix for a business meeting and so we did not have our favorite restaurants available. What I go back, yes I sure would.
We celebrated our anniversary here. It was our first visit to Wildfish. The food was really good, sea-bass and crab with scallops. The service was excellent. We were greeted by the hostess with acknowledgement of our anniversary. We were given a great booth that was decorated for the occasion (rose petals) and accompanied by a congrats card signed by the staff.
Our server (Nico) was professional, knowledgeable and engaging. He is the kind of server you request for return visits though the other staff at our table were also very good.
There was a nice vibe to the place and the acoustics were favorable for table conversation.
We drove about 40 minutes to this destination. We found the overall experience to exceed our high expectations and we will make it a point to come back.
We had a great evening here once we got past the bar, where we were waiting for our table. We purchased drinks for our group from the bar and the bartender could not have been more arrogant and was very slow to get us our drinks. It's called a SERVICE industry for a reason.
We went with friends on New Years Eve, and were so impressed with the entire experience. We were seated at our reservation time and had an excellent waiter. Both he and the manager checked in on us regularly. Best of all, the menu was varied, and everything we ordered was truly excellent, as well as generously portioned. It was our first time dining there, and we will definitely be back!
We wanted to find a decent restaurant that had reservations available for New Years Eve and were not disappointed with this one. The food was served quickly, the presentation was lovely, and the food was excellent. Our waiter was great, I believe Jake was his name, he was friendly, attentive, and knew what he was doing. The only downside to this evening were the televisions, an evening out does not require their presence.
Great dinner! Perfectly paced. Our waiter, Charlie, was fun and really knew the menu and wine list. His wine recommendation was spot on. The oysters were especially fresh and tasty. Those are hard to find in PHX. The sea bass with the light soy broth is worth every penny. Definitely one of the best fish dishes i’ve ever had. My wife’s scallops were perfectly cooked and delicious. Bananas Foster butter cake for dessert is life changing!
We went with our family which included kids. Not so kid friendly but we always dine with children so it’s not so quiet you feel like you’re invading date night. I did notice that the specials were being announced at another table which were not told to us. Maybe we looked too distracted with our children but I would’ve still been interested. Also we ordered a bottle of wine and because it wasn’t placed on our table we were left to either maneuver around another table to get it or wait for the server to pour the 2nd glass. Overall good ambiance and service
The food was average, fish (sea bass) obviously frozen at some stage...totally tasteless.
The waiter.didn't listen to anything, had a speech to welcome tell you about the specials and then was deaf....he missed one course totally
When we asked for a second bottle of wine we were told that was the last...surely that's information given when you order the first bottle?
It has been 8 years since our last Dinner at the Wildfish. My wife and I were totally taken back in time as we again experienced the A+ Best Culinary Experience. We met the GM and congradulated him on an outstanding staff especially our server, Jacob, who was A+ and we thought he was great. We were surprised to find out he was new to Wildfish and told the GM he has a fantastic eye for talent. Jacob is definitely a keeper. Everyone at Wildfish was FUNtastic towards us and made our Christmas Eve experience most enjoyable. One thing for sure is Wildfish should look at Tucson for next location. Obviously our trips would be more frequent and they would discover that there exists a lot of culinary experts who love to dine out.
My family and I went to Wildfish on our last night of vacation. Every last morsel was beyond delicious! There were 8 of us, so we ordered and shared a bunch of the appetizers and main courses- each thing better than the last! From the oysters, ahi tuna, and crab cakes to the bone-in ribeye, swordfish, and Chilean sea bass, this was an extraordinary meal and a great way to end a fabulous vacation!!
