Everything was good and smooth. Food is very good except for the brussel sprouts was very burnt on one side and the other side undercooked. But, we informed our waiter and he quickly handle it. We will be back if around the area.
Always outstanding. My ”go to” .spot fir anexceptional meal.
Had dinner here last night and the experience was excellent start to finish. We had reservations for 6pm and were greeted warmly by name and taken directly to our table. Our waiter Kevin was attentive and very knowledgeable on the menu and made great suggestions. I had the swordfish steak and the hubby had scallops. We shared the spinach and lobster mashed potatoes and all I can say is it was all soooo delicious. Kevin even brought us a complimentary creme brûlée since we were celebrating our birthdays! Oh, and the special cocktail I had (i think it was called the 24 Karat?) was also very good. And a special thanks to Brian who checked in to make sure we were happy and was very friendly and sooo nice! If you have a special occasion or even just want an excellent meal, I highly recommend!!!!
Normally the best fish restaurant in OC. Food & service was OK, but DEFINITELY not up yo usual standard. Even cocktails not as good.
Loved this place. Our waitress Laura was so good. Will return!
Excellent service and amazing food. The butter fish was exceptional.
Our server, Kai, was fantastic. We didn’t ever have to ask to have the water glasses refilled. He timed our courses perfectly. Wildfish is quite noisy but the food and the flawless service make it worth it.
Food was great as usual with a couple of exceptions. Got the seafood tower. The lump crab meat didn't taste good, didn't taste real. Also, the side of potatos au gratin and the brocolini weren't very hot. Mentioned that to the restaurant, they took care of it. Happy with the way they dealt with it.
Overall, the service & food were excellent. Considering the upscale pricing, a sharper reception crew would be appreciated. Check-in desk was unoccupied upon arrival, & when two girls showed up, neither greeted us and then proceeded to seat us without even asking if we had a (very detailed) reservation called in for a requested table, & a birthday. Ruined my first impression of this restaurant. Probably won’t return any time soon as value is not commensurate with ambiance. More sports bar than upscale, romantic dining.
My husband and I were traveling through the area when we came across this restaurant. The service was excellent. Our waiter was put in an unfortunate position when the the entress we ordered were both unavailable but his suggestions to replace them were excellent. We both agreed that we would definitely return if we are in the area again.
Wild Fish Seafood Grille is a very good, albeit expensive restaurant. We've dined at Wild Fish multiple times, and we've come away a little less enthusiastic each time. The food is well prepared and service is generally very attentive. However, on our last visit, we had to wait 30 minutes to be seated, despite having Open Table reservations, and service was friendly, but slow. Granted, it was a Saturday evening, but our reservation was for a late dinner, and the hostesses could have done a better job of keeping us informed. Entree portions were well presented, but on the small size. I had the "swordfish steak" with crab, which although excellent, was very small, and no one could reasonably call a piece of fish measuring 3" by 2" a "steak." Salads were good, but not exceptional, and side dishes were okay, although the brussel sprouts were burnt. We've enjoyed dining at Wild Fish before, and this is the first time we've been disappointed. Our waiter was very personable and friendly, but the the overall experience was less than we've come to expect from Wild Fish Grille. For the price, every visit should be an excellent experience, and unfortunately this last one didn't quite live up to expectations. I certainly do not fault the waiter, as he did his best, but had this been our first visit, we would have come away less than impressed.
Great service from Leo
Must reserve for Saturday
Our waiter, Matt, was the greatest!!!
We will be back - during the week....
Too much noise 😂🤣😂
Great intro to the restaurant/menu as we went during restaurant week. The place was super busy, but once you were seated you would not know it as the service was great. Food was overly delicious, so much so that if you are not a butter, rich food enthusiast you won't be happy. Good for a special occasion meal.
Party of 3. We had a 7:30 reservation; were told running 15 minutes behind. Dutifully sat 10 feet from hostess stand. At 7:45, checked in and told “We will call you when your table is ready. At 8:15 asked “what is happening?” This time we had the distinct impression they had lost track of us. No apologies. Just “We will seat you right now, sir.” Hostess took us to bar in back of restaurant and sat us at small high bar table. When we indicated this was uncomfortable seating for us and asked if another regular table might be found, we were told “Our regular tables are all reserved.” When we pressed politely, reminding host that we also had a reservation and were being seated 45 minutes late, she said “I’ll get a manager.” No manager ever came. Our waiter was friendly. Food was good but not special. Very unlikely to go back.
For the 2nd year in a row, we celebrated our mini family reunion at WSG. All 7 of us, ranging in age from 14 to 81, thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and ambience. We look forward to a repeat performance next year.
DELICIOUS. Went for a birthday and it was a great dinner from start to finish. Most importantly birthday boy was very happy. The prices are typical for a seafood and steaks restaurant.
The bisque was poured into a very hot bowl which was a great extra with chunks of lobster. The fish were all delicious. Shrimp were large and sweet. Bread was carb heaven. We had the creme brûlée and the brown sugar top was crunchy cracking good. Would go again. May have to go for all day Sunday happy hour.
The waitress was great. The Lobster bisque soup and shrimp and crab salad was very good. The Chilean sea bass had no flavor. I have eaten here many times and this is the first time I have had a bad item. I would stay away from the Chilean sea bass.
Great food & service, terrific for special occasion; restaurant acknowledges occasion and makes you feel welcome and appreciated.
2 of us came for restaurant week with a reservation. We were escorted outside to the patio area and sat at a table for 6. A few minutes later a waiter tells us we cant sit there, he needs the table for a bigger party. Fine, I tell him, it's not like we are the ones who picked the table. So we get sat at another table. Neither one of the tables had the special menu for restaurant week, and we could hear other people around us asking for it as well. Did they purposely not put the lower price menu in so people would spend more money? Seems fishy. Waitress was VERY clueless. Just because you put someone in a fancy white tuxedo jacket doesn't mean they know what they're doing. Spend a little more time on training. Only some servers offered their tables fresh ground pepper with their appetizers. Food was ok.
Appearance of restaurant: 5/5 beautiful
Quality of food: 3/5 average
Service 2/5. Needs a LOT of improvement.
Maybe spend less money on the interior of your restaurant, and more money on training your people.
Good and atmosphere were great but our server was either distracted with his tables on the other side of the bar or was inexperienced. Took forever for him to return to table and he never once asked how out meals were until dinner was completely over. We had to ask other staff to help us for additional items to order. Otherwise, it’s a super great place for dining and food.
We visited Wild Fish for the first time because we wanted to try a new place so we took advantage of OC Restaurant Week. It is now our new favorite restaurant. Manny was our server and he was terrific! The food is excellent. We enjoyed every bite of the three course dinner. Very glad for the promotion so we could discover Wild Fish.
Great service and delicious food.
Always stellar! Love this place! The bar is especially nice from four in the afternoon. Such good drinks and appetizers! Great value.
Over the years have had many lovely meals at Wildfish and Eddie V's. Our most recent visit was just as we wished it to be with good and helpful service, food properly prepared and served at the correct temperature. We appreciate not being rushed.
Very good Chilean fisch and Oysters. Congratulations. Good service as well. Kind team.
It's been awhile since we have been to Wildfish, but it was everything and more then we remembered. It doesn't matter what you have there, it is delicious! Our waitress Heather, was an excellent server.
We were visiting from Chicago and looking for a nice place to celebrate birthdays. The service, food, and atmosphere was outstanding.
Went for OC Restaurant Week. The lobster bisque was so creamy and with good chunks of lobster. Nice service and ambience.
Environment: The restaurant was a little too dark. My family sat near the bathrooms in a booth at the end. There was a register/computer across from us. There was a lot of traffic back and forth. The walkway was very narrow that my husband had to dodge a tray, held by a waitress, as he was sitting
Food: Delicious, a pleasant surprise to find out the restaurant was associated with Eddie V's. Buttercake is our favorite
Service: Heather was a terrific waitress. Very pleasant and accommodating. Easy to speak to and friendly.
Known for their Chilean Sea Bass (HK style), Wildfish never fails to deliver good food with great service.
Food was amazing! Service was excellent and was made to feel special for my birthday. Would definitely go again.
Good but over priced
Great service and food. New local favorite.
My husband and I really enjoy going to Wildfish is one of our top 3 date night go to spots. The service is always great and you cant go wrong with anything that you choose on the menu.
I was dining with my daughter and we thought the food was delicious. Unfortunately she felt sick the next day. We think it was the salmon dish she had.
$15.50 for a Hendicks martini is enough to take the frost off the glass.
Love this place!!!
