We loved the food and the service! The decor is fun and inviting too!
We have enjoyed Wild Fish for ten years. It is (was) an awesome restaurant with food and a staff to match. We will miss this establishment as it closed 16 April 2016. Really sad...huge loss.

I loved this restaurant! The sushi menu provided so much variety. Our waiter offered so much helpful suggestions and we enjoyed each one of them. More than sushi is on the menu, but we did not try anything; dining instead only on salads, sushi appetizers and dinner. Dessert was delicious as well.
Good sushi applied in interesting ways. Fish portion is skimpy by comparison to other suburban sushi restaurants
Great sushi place. Loved the food and service. Wil be back.
Great food great atmosphere great staff. Always fresh sushi!
Food was acceptable, not great. A bit steep in terms of price. The service could be improved. We had to wait a while to get the check and boxes. The music was a bit loud as well. Not a bad experience per se, but things could easily be much better.
My wife and I went there on a recommendation and it was worth it. We enjoyed it very much! Staff works hard and food tasted great! We'll come back!
Friendly hostess and service staff. Food was great for moderate price. Sushi was tasty. All six people in my party liked it
It was my first time at this Wildfish, my daughter and I enjoyed the atmosphere, the sushi was fresh and delicious (I recommend getting the black rice with your sushi, its worth it) and the service was fantastic, I will definitely be going back here!
While located in a upscale strip mall area, in Deerfield, don't let this GEM get away!! Vibrant during the day and low-key, subdued during the night. The food is very good and hot. Love the bar and sushi area. Definitely good location for a date night.
I tried their Bento box which gave a diverse selection of food. The tempura was light and not oily, sea bass was moist and delicious. The spicy tuna rolls were spicy and perfectly formed. I liked the service and ambience of the restaurant.
The sushi we got tasted like lighter fluid, and our waiter was below average. Not good service
Great restaurant however they did not have my reservation from Open Table. Thankfully they had a table available.
We were six for dinner and most of the food was very good. However, the chicken is the Bento Box was way overdone and really ruined that entree. My udon was excellent
Great sushi, terrific sake list, interesting combinations of foods, beyond the normal for modern Japanese restaurants
We arrived early and were seated right away. They may have been short-staffed the Saturday night that we were there, because the waitress looked very busy, but it took a very long time for our food and drink to arrive.
We are big sushi eaters and this restaurant has a great selection. Nver tried the cooked food but may do so at some point.
The food was great. You got to try the spicy mini lobster roll.
I have been to this restaurant a number of times over the years. The menu is extensive. However the service always seems to be lacking. If it were not for the entertainment from 8-10 I probably would not have gone. The Sushi quality is good. The service is not. The price is a bit high as compared to other Sushi restaurants. But this is Deerfield so they can get away with it. One of the people in my party asked for a beverage which never showed up. It was not on the bill. They automatically add 20% tip for a party of 6 or more so they get the tip whether or not they do their job.
i was disappointed in the food. Lobester was old tasting.
We had two outstanding dishes-Korean BBQ and Dragon Roll. Service was smooth and efficient. We'll be back again.
Slowest service I have ever experienced. Sake came out only warm and tasted awful. Waitress was never around. Acted as if they didn't care less. Stuffed mushroom came out only warm with no fork. Sashimi was tough and seemed that it was days old.
Won't ever be back nor recommend to anyone else.
Every time we go there we have great dinner and amazing time !
This place is very nice and unique, located in downtown of Deerfield. Very nice decor, pleasant atmosphere and music. Food is just simply great, a little bit expensive, but going there for the special occasion was fine. We were happy with everything at that restaurant!
Group of 4 who were the first arrivals on a Wednesday evening. Took a ridiculous amount of time to get our drinks (beer and wine, so no excuse of cocktails that require effort to produce), also second round of drinks that we were forced to order because there was no sign of our food or update on why it was taking so long. When the food finally arrived it was good, but the service has to drastically improve.
We were not impressed at all with the food. Some cuts of my maki did not even have fish in them. Just plain rice. Service was bad, too. She would let us sit for 15 mins. No smile at all. Never going back.
We had a reservation, but when we arrived, we still had to wait. The hostess seemed confused and flustered, so it took awhile before we were seated. Once at the table, we waited about 25 minutes before anyone came to take even a drink order, and that only happened because we stopped someone and asked them to find our server. The other hostess did come by more than once to apologize and did bring us complimentary edamame, which was nice. The food was good. I had tilapia which was very tasty. The only downer was that my friend's steak was overdone. The restaurant is very lovely and nicely decorated. Prices are reasonable. I would go back, but just be aware of slow service.
Local restaurant. Used to be good. Took two hours to get our sushi on a slow Monday night with no apology or offering. Food order was messed up and was just average. Way better sushi places if you drive even five more minutes. Will not be back.
I have been to Wildfish many times because of the delicious food. The service has never been great but unfortunately it was very bad this time. We were charged for sides of sauces without being told & overall unattended to. Eventually we walked up to the front counter to pay the bill because it took so long for our waitress to get back to us. We will not be coming back.
We very much enjoyed our various selections. Four of us shared several appetizers and then had an entree. All plates were cleaned. Will return soon
I appreciate the server's helpfulness with gluten-free options. My taste buds were happily dancing throughout the meal.
Terrrific creative selection of standard rolls and special rolls. Generous portions. Music not too loud for conversation, spacious tables, bright open space. Now on our go to list for sushi.
Quality of food is modest. It is kind a OK range. Beer selection is too narrow.
The rolls are really creative, I love tuna gone wild, and the menu is extensive. Service friendly and quality good.
While we were waiting for our friends to arrive, the girl bartender never came back to ask us if we wanted anything. The waitress we had, was very friendly and accommodating. The food was not good. Not at all busy on a Saturday night. Would never go back.
We go to wildfish because the sushi is good. However, service has never been good, but we put up with it. Service during our recent visit was lousy. The restaurant was sparsely occupied, yet the server took ages to fulfil requests and forgot about a couple of them. Did not take the order down properly. Sushi was good, but non sushi appetizers and entrees were awful. Teriyaki sauce seemed like a commercially prepared product. Non sushi food was devoid of salt and it took them an age to get a salt shaker and soy sauce to our table. The busser was also in a hurry to clear the table and kept reaching across the table to take away dishes when we had not even quite finished eating. We will be trying a different sushi restaurant the next time.
Food was very good: sashimi excellent, black dragon roll - great. Need to improve service. Could not find waiter to ask for additional soy sause, extra plate, etc.
My fiends ordered sushi which were good, but my chicken was dry, overcooked while broccoli and baby carrots were practically raw. Service was average, no soy sauce on the table.
We don't eat here often but every time we do we wonder why we waited so long. Food always good and great service. Nice outdoor seating.
