Enjoyed our time-great service-nice menu. Had a nice celebration meal. Would return.
First of all I booked my reservation online and it was immediate ,booked during the day for that night and no problem. The steak that we had was amazing quiet possibly the best steak I've had to date ! Thanks wildfire I will be back !!!
Great spot for lunch especially with the windows open onto King Street. Service was top -notch. Food was very tastly and generous enough to take-home for another meal.
I have chosen this restaurant for my birthday dinner for the past 2 years and I look forward to my future birthday dinners here. The food is delicious, they accommodated to my request for seating and the service is great.
Sadly i was a little disappointed with this place. The portions where very little for the amount of money they charge. My friend steak was under cooked she asked for medium rare and she got rare. The atmosphere was nice beautiful decor but lighting is very dim and why don't you have gravy??? Overall i would not go back to this restaurant over priced for very little food i left hungry 🙁
Food was good but service was a somewhat slow for restaurant which was not busy. This was a business dinner so service needs to be attentive without smothering:
- Cocktails took longer then average for a bar which was not at all busy
- Appetizers took much longer than average to be served but were good
- Bread was not made available as a starter. This is always a sign of venue trying to cut back
- Entrées arrived at a good time after appetizers completed and were good
- Waitress forgot a cocktail for someone wanted seconds
Business dinner took 2.5 hrs for 6 people which is too long. Should be 2 hrs.
In summary, good food experienced by all but slow service. Include bread as a starter if you don't want to look chincy!
We had an amazing meal with great service but the noise level was so high we couldn't speak to each other. I actually felt like I was in a cafeteria. I will have to think hard whether I will return to the restaurant again. It is a shame as we really enjoy the food.
Service was excellent. Ordered steaks - mine was a filet. Little over spiced for me - and a little more done than I had ordered. My husbands steak was a little underdone. The service was excellent. Found it a little overpriced for what we ate.
Our first time there and very impressed. We shared our mains, so we had only one steak knife. That was no problem as the steak was so tender that I could easily cut it with my butter knife.
3 attempts at a steak and just ate a burnt one so I wouldn’t have any more issues
Our dinner was fabulous and the service was outstanding. Would recommend to anyone.
It was a wonderful date night. Great wine selection . The seafood pasta was fantastic and the tomahawk steak was nice and rare. Just the way I like it
Calamari arrived cool not even warm. Putanesca sauce was very good. Scallop appetizer was good. Beet salad had 8 small beet rounds and 3 shriveled pieces of "shaved" fennel. Tuscan kale was old tough pieces that are close to the stem. Flank steak excellent. Waitress was funny engaging and quick with service
We do love Wildfire. The staff are excellent from the moment you walk through the door. We buy coupons at Costco $100 for $80.00. A deal right off. There are great food choices for all types of diets and pallets. The Calemare Fritte are my favourite with their rendition of Caesar Salad a close second. They make a great white sangria and an excellent Caesar with lots of beer choices also.
A great evening!
Restaurant was quiet, service was good and the pace was great for a special occasion. Gives you the opportunity to socialize with your party instead of feeling like they just need to turn the table. Food was very good as well!
Food was generally very good. Wait times were on the slow side. Server was very pleasant and welcoming. Caesar and caprese salads were very good. Steaks were well cooked.
Pasta with pesto had WAY too much olive oil.
Risotto was too al dente.
We were celebrating two birthdays. As a future enhancement, you should consider a complimentary dessert of some sort for those celebrating birthdays.
Mixed up bill but corrected when I brought it to their attention
Overall ok but probably not returning any time soon
Fabulous staff and I've never had a Cesar salad so good.
Appetizer came quickly, then we waited at least another hour before our meals came.
Far too long with no explaination as to why so long.
I wrote to Wildfire to let them know our disappointment. The service was poor. Waited 1.5 hours between our starter and main. We thought they forgot about us!! When the food arrived it was mediocure. We were celebrating a birthday and we were not offered anything to celebrate it with. We have been here once before and will not be returning.
My family brought me here for my birthday. Excellent service and fantastic food! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants a great steak and romantic atmosphere!
Service was terribly slow and room was almost empty. Waiter was not really friendly and had to ask for water/drink refills.
The biggest issue was time we had to wait for order to be taken and 45 minutes to get our lunch items after order taken. Simple lunch items need not take that long. When booking, it always asks if special occasion and yet nothing was said by server. What is the point of asking if no one acknowledges. Gift bags on table is a big clue for waiter to acknowledge.
Simply a disappointing visit.
Overall decent 2nd experience, first was better. Slow service and others in party had over cooked steaks. Took too long to get food to bother with complaining about the over cooked steak, just wanted to eat at that point.
I'm sorry to rate the restaurant so low but the overall experience was very poor. We made a reservation online for 7:30 pm, got there 5 minutes late. Were told our table would be a few minutes - not a big deal. An hour later we were seated - not cool! Then our food was another hour and we had to ask for drinks as the server "ran" by. We had to leave by 10:00 pm so we had to eat very quickly and the food was not it's normal standard. The owner came by a few times to apologize and we could tell they were under staffed due to people calling in sick (or whatever their excuse was) because the owners were running around like crazy. We will give the restaurant another try because we have liked it in the past. A note to their staff.....unless you are REALLY sick step up and show up to work!
A body told me about this place ! Very happy to have dinne at you place!
Prices are very high. Portions are small. Not great value.
Companion had seafood and I had steak; food and service was great until the end when we had to wait quite a while for the bill. Marred an otherwise excellent experience.
Conversation friendly environmetnt with fabulous tasting food - well worth the wait.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff met us at the door and showed us to our table immediately upon arrival. Our waiter was very attentive and handled our orders without any issues. All in all the four people in our party enjoyed our meal immensely and will certainly recommend Wildfire to our friends and relatives.
Ordered a medium filet which came rare. Sent back to reheat and came back burnt. Wife ordered lobster tails which came cold. No side plates for bread. Had to ask for bread specifically. Peppercorn sauce was too salty. Son's girlfriend has a weak jaw and asked for vegetables to be cooked extra soft but came crunchy so she couldn't eat them. Will never return. Better steak options at the Keg and Charcoal at similar price. At least the manager came and apologized for the poor quality food.
Item wanted was not on menu but restaurant was very accommodating.
just a family meal out. The restaurant was empty at 630 on a Thursday. Our server was very friendly and gracious but every question we asked, she had to go ask someone else for the answer. We sat at 6:30, our appetizer (A cheese plate) came out at 7:00. not sure how it takes 20 minutes with no other orders. Our mains then didn't arrive until 7:55?! I'm a restaurant manager so I may be more critical than most, but also understanding of the circumstance. Our order (med rare steak, tuna salad, burger, chicken fingers) ranged from good to excellent regards to flavour and presentation but not even on a busy night should it take even half that amount of time. We had to cut the meal short to get the kids to bed. The owner was wandering around and was very polite, but he really needs to be hustling the kitchen a bit. Also, when the bill arrived, i was a little shocked to see a balance of $160 for two kids, two adults, no dessert and only one glass of wine. The food was good but these prices were astronomical! Also there was some tinny AM rock music playing in the background that was totally wrong for the dining room.
Someone took a drink order. 10 minutes later drinks arrived. Beer was flat. My husband went up to the bar, fixed his beer after waiting another 5-7 minutes where no one came. Our waiter was not attentive, did not check to make sure our meal was good, etc. At the end offered us everything under the sun to upgrade ( desserts/ coffee etc) we declined. We ordered 53.00 steak- it was thin, not worth the cost. He brought interac machine- we paid- in the meantime he had left and we never saw him again. He didn't return to thank us/ say good evening etc so we left machine on our table and left. Disappointed mainly with the service not the restaurant itself. The atmosphere is lovely inside.
Really nice evening at Wildfire. My only complaint is that the cauliflower puree was a little too spicy and my rib steak at too many peppercorns sprinkled over it (and the menu did not indicate that they were covering it with crushed pepper or I would have asked them not to do that). Service was good and the carrot cake was lovely.
Wildfire never fails to impress. Service is always 5 Star. Food was great and many enjoyed the vegetarian options, not a bad review considering they are a steakhouse. Enjoy a great experience and choose Wildfire Waterloo.
Atmosphere was warn and cosy, friendly staff. Disappointed it would take 45 minutes for the rib eye steak. I decided to order a different steak. My wife enjoys a pina colada drink but it could not be made because of no blender. Overall, we enjoyed the meal.
Third visit for us with high expectations. Service level was poor compared to previous two visits. Our server may have had too many tables. She was good the last time so hopefully our next visit aligns to the expectations we have for this restaurant. Food is simply fantastic.
Good food, good service, weren’t many people there on Fri night was odd. Would recommend though try it out steak was very tasty
My steak was way too salty, when I told them they were very surprised and very nice about it and my meal was taken off the bill, but it put me off all the same.
The opportunity to dine here was because my son had purchased certificates at Costco as a Christmas present. Sorry we took so long to get there but it was worthwhile.
Near the end of the meal, I think our server forgot about us. He went by our table many times before bringing our bill and even longer to pick up our credit card. After we had our coats on for 5 mintes or more we were finally able to pay our bill. There was only the two of us, so I guess we were not important.
