We reserved a table a week ahead, specifically requesting an intimate area as it was our anniversary. Instead we were sat immediately next to the spot that all servers place down the water jug for refilling glasses. Every two minutes a heavy glass water jug was slammed down next to my head. The food was disappointing. Given that it was a steak house, we ordered steak. My husband wanted the tomahawk steak and was told they only have one per evening and someone already ordered it. Instead he ordered the porterhouse which when was served was a Tbone that was over salted. I ordered the ribeye, which should be a good quality steak. It was very thin and over charred. Given that our bill was $250 the evening was extremely disappointing evening. I will not return or recommend this restaurant to anyone.
2nd time enjoying Wildfire. The steak is amazing and has been prepared and grilled perfectly.
The food was good, but for the same price points, the Keg and Harpos are both better and just down the street from this place. Service was really good, but the layout was a bit cramped, the poor servers struggled to get around between the tables trying not to bump into the guests.
Great food and fantastic service. One of the top restaurants in Oshawa.
Excellent food & service. My friends want to come back the next weekend... although good value for food, still too pricey to do more than once a month (still want the wine )!!!
The rib steak promo for $29 was really great value!
The pita chips that came with the spinach dip were also great.
Service was wonderful, staff was very pleasant and helpful. Food however was fair, we had ribs and salmon. Salmon was good but ribs were not tender and Caesar salad came in a romaine lettuce leaf that was placed on a grill which gave it a charred taste. The food was lacking considering the cost. Our overall experience was disappointing as our expectations with a 4 star restaurant was not met.
Stiploin Steaks were overcooked and not tender, ribeye was very fatty, calamari was good, disappointing overall
Wonderful place to eat food was fantastic service was exceptional
We had great service from a very pleasant server. Specials were explained to us, and our food was prepared perfectly. Great venue, and we felt welcome.
Restaurant was lovely, night lighting and decor. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We love this place, great food great deals, great wine, nice atmosphere.
Great food, great service. Very convenient to make reservations.
Had a business dinner here and I was very impressed.
I had hoped for more but was disappointed. The rib steak was average - thin with some gristle but cooked well. The potatoes and vegetables were ordinary. I can cook the same meal at home for 1/2 the price. Sorry but not rushing to go back.
Matt was the waiter that took our order. He has been our waiter I think 3 times now. When service is provided with the smile and friendly conversation he brings, it makes our night out that much more relaxing and enjoyable. The food is always prepared and served as ordered. Hope to be back next week!
It was mine and my family’s first time and we happened to celebrate my moms birthday. The atmosphere was lovely, the staff were extremely friendly. The food was amazing, we had some wonderful recommendations from our server. We will definitely be coming back!
Our 3rd visit at this venue and I will return again. The food is great and the service is amazing.
Ribeye Steak was good, soup was warm, pina colada was returned. Calamari was appetizing. Recommend because they have potential
Glad I had made reservations, although when we left at 7:00pm, the restaurant was walking around offering free glasses of bubbley while you waited.
Service was VERY slow. Had to ask server for drinks at the start. Large party in the back was apparent reason for slow service. Proper management of large groups shouldn’t impact family meals. Won’t be back!
A little pricey but the steak was delicious. Got quite noisy as the night wore on.
Wildfire is our favorite restaurant. We go here about once a month. Sometimes twice. The food and service are always excellent however our last visit was a little disappointing. My husband ordered the baked potato with just butter and it came with sour cream. When they went to get him a new one they came back and said they had run out of baked potatoes. This was at 6:00 pm. A little early to be running out of baked potatoes. In addition, we always order a side of sauteed mushrooms. They must have changed their mushrooms because what we received were these tiny little mushrooms which were almost impossible to pick up on your fork. A little frustrating trying to eat them. The steaks were perfect as always but overall I would give this visit a 4 star instead of our usual 5 stars.
We were really excited to eat there cause we had heard good things however the whole experience was dismal. The baked potatoes we received tasted like they have been in the hot holding drawers for hours cause the outside texture of them were hard with deep browning, much like when they get past there holding time. The beans were overly dressed in garlic. The steak we enjoyed but were surprised that for the fillet mignon there was a charge of $2 extra for bacon. We both finished our drinks but were not offered any refills. Our reservation was at 9 PM so I am wondering if we were being rushed out due to closing soon. Hostesses were polite and very friendly, that is about the only positive comment I can make.
Second time there. Good food, good service , overall everything was perfect and I definitely go back
Server was really strange, steak was really charred on the outside. Very bland and not worth the money. Won’t be back
Service was great so was the food. It was cold we were by the door.
Just amazing food, so fresh and not overdone with sauces that just hide flavours. They were able to accommodate my husband’s keto needs. And my ahi tuna was like butter. I can’t wait to go back and have another creme brûlée.
Wildfire Streakhouse was a lovely venue for our date night. What stood out most to me was the care and attentiveness of the staff and the beautiful ambience. The food was good, though pricey, but I expected that much going into the evening. All in all, it was a nice place to go for a special occasion.
Limited menu because of Valentine’s Day. Looking forward to going on a regular night
There was four of us that dined in Valentine's Day. Overall we enjoyed our meals, presented well and taste was very good. A couple of things that were off for us, was the noise level in the main area, when busy the area is noisy and hard to carry on conversations, and that ambiance is lacking compared to the rear room.
Also, the Ceasar we received , the leaves on the interior of the cob was brown and didn't seem as fresh. The rest of the meals for everyone was good however.
It was an incredible meal food wise. The wife and I both enjoyed our steaks and the creme brûlée was outstanding. The interior of the restaurant has a nice subdued and wholesome tone.
The only negative was the group a couple of tables over who were quite loud.
Other than that group, we had a fantastic Valentine’s Day dinner.
It should have been a lovely meal but when we got there we had to wait so long to get a drink. We did not find out in advance it was a set menu however if they’re doing a set menu it should be good. We got our salads and the lettuce was wilted and dark. The main course was worse as the steak was over cooked and the vegetables and potatoes were cold. It was a very special occasion so I didn’t say anything but given the cost of just under $300 I would have expected a phenomenal experience and it was not. Very disappointed. Attach is a picture of the salad with wilted leafs.
Before leaving for dinner we reviewed the menu the full menu was on display and a special menu , no where did it indicate we would be held hostage to only the special very limited very over priced package for the day
We had no choice to stay due to the day it was we wound up with a tiny portion of what we planned to order so clearly far less good for much much more money and a pre set tip which was very high and the server did not even need to earn the tip it was demanded
We had been to the Colborne st location many times always awsome tonight was overpriced under fed and to top it off average service demanded big tip
We will not return here
I received gift cards for Christmas, so I thought what better day to use them then Valentine's day. Getting a night out without children, let alone on Valentine's is a rarity. I check the menu on the website and reserved a table for 2. I recieved my reminder the night before reminding me of my reservation and a link for their menu. We arrived and although the dining room was empty we were seated right by the door with a little heater beside our table. Which obviously should have been a table for 2 not 4 since every staff member bumped into walking past. We gave our waitress the gift cards and she tells us we are not allowed to use gift cards for their specialty menu. I said we wanted to order from the regular menu. We were then told they were only making the special menu and she said they should have told everyone when they made their reservation. They did not, nor was there any mention that gift cards were not accepted or even that were not offering their full menuon their website. Even the reminder email had only a link to their regular menu. I don't eat alot so a 3 full course meal($80/per +18% gratuity added) , no substitution and very little to choose from was not at all we had expected. Especially for our Valentine's night out.
Food tasted great, just felt that the portion size for the garlic bread was definitely not worth the price paid
Our waitor Adam, was very good. He kept us informed of when our dinner was coming. He kept my water glass filled. Very nice man.
Our meals were absolutely delicious, very flavourful, perfectly prepared.
Service was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Wildfire.
