Wildfire Steakhouse Cosmopolitan
In addition to our perfectly grilled steaks that are seasoned with our own house blended spices, we offer a wide range of appetizers, entrées and desserts to please any palate.
Nice place. Great food. Great service.
We’ll come again.
Wildfire Steakhouse was very good. We went before a show at the sony center. Steak was excellent!
The shrimp, calamari and lobster tail were previously frozen, which was obvious and disappointing. The shrimp martini was something you could go and buy at Metro and stick in a martini glass. The calamari was mushy and so salty— and I LOVE salt! Our outstanding waiter was very understanding and took these items off the bill. The steaks were outstanding!!! Perfectly cooked. We normally go to the Wildfire Grill on Yonge St north of Lawrence but thought we’d try the Cosmopolitan Hotel location. On a Friday night—- it was dead! 8:00 pm and dead!! It was my husbands birthday and he chose Wildfire Grill. If it weren’t for our fabulous waiter and the delicious steak this would have been a big negative!!! Honestly, I wouldn’t go back to the Cosmopolitan location. Overall, the steaks were amazing, appetizers no, ambience non existent
This place is crap, the server looked like she wanted to kill herself. Didn’t even respond or acknowledge anything we said, didn’t smile, nothing. The apps we ordered were small and nothing fancy. The cheesy garlic bread was so saturated in butter than you could wring it out and prepare 10 more orders with the excess butter. Wouldn’t come here again.
I'm not sure why this is ranked so high. Very small hotel restaurant. The food was just ok but it was overcooked and had to be remade. I asked for my appetizer to not contain a certain item and my main dish came out with that item anyway and the waitress didn't even think to mention it to me when it's a main component of a side dish. Would not repeat.
Friendly helpful staff and a fantastic menu. Food was fresh and tasty.
Everything was AMAZING from the service to the food! It’s two days later and I drool thinking about the meal I had and can’t wait to go back!
Simple menu - simple decor in a small downtown hotel just off Yonge St and King St - good fir dinner before sporting events or productions at Sony Theatre
Quiet room.. excellent service .. great food not fancy but well prepared.. we ate and talked for four hours not once did they suggest that we were overstaying or did they pressure us to leave .. this evening lace is a hidden gem!
Was an overall good experience
Good food and services but the resturan not cozy for couples
Seemed to me like the fixed menu was made with jail cooks trying to get everything out accordingly so there would be no riots. Definitely not made with love, take your money and run. Robbery! Call the police.
Went there for a birthday. The way the food looked, I definitely could’ve made it better at home. So dissatisfied.
The food wasn’t as good as usual. Shrimp cocktail was a mix of big and small, tails on and off, and the sauce was like paste. Burger was great. Piri Piri sauce was not very authentic. I will let this one go, as it’s always been top notch in the past.
Food quality was extremely poor on multiple levels:
- French Onion soup was very watery!
- Whisky Burgers were fair but the greens on the burger were soggy, wilted and old!
- The coffee was also watery!
Service was poor! The waitress kept disappearing and had to be 'flagged down' and one time the Supervisor had to be called to go find the waitress!
The dessert - chocolate cake was very good!
Dinner on Sat. Jan. 26, 2019 at 7:00 pm
Excellent staff on the evening of 1/19/19. Went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable.
I came here for a pre theatre dinner. The steaks were wonderful, prepared to perfection. The escargots and French onion soup were great. My only criticism is the seasonal vegetables which consisted mainly of onion slices with two small carrot pieces added. I would like to have had some “real” vegetables included without having to buy some as extras. Even those extra selections were sparse and not really to my liking. However I did enjoy my dinner and would recommend this restaurant to my friends or family.
Great staff and steaks were cooked perfectly. Staff was great!
Very quiet, only 2 other couples while there. Shared garlic bread, dripping with butter/oil but tasty. Wife had chicken, with BBQ sauce, said was the most tender she has ever had. I had lamb which was done perfectly. Only complaint was seasonal vegetables consisted of carrots only, would have thought more than one item and No option to order additional veggies.
Honestly it sucks that I couldn't order off the normal menu which was the reason why I went here. Only offered the lto menu. But it wasn't to bad over all. The first lobster tail I received was super salt. The server was fantastic about it but I was the only down side to this occasion.
Steaks were pretty good, but not the best I’ve had. Had The Keg last week and it was better.
Waiter (Pete) was hit and miss. He disappeared for a bit and the hostess took our dessert order. After dessert we waited and waited but nobody came back. Just walked up to the cash without our. I’ll and the hostess (and Pete) gave me the bill there and we paid and left.
It was a little disappointing but it wasn’t all bad. The steaks weren’t the greatest but there were very good. Dessert was very good. It very small portions.
Friendly staff, excellent food and service, convenient location for theatre goers
Amazing attentive service. Waitress and waiter seemed to genuinely care we enjoyed ourselves. Ambience was great and food excellent. A little gem hidden down a side street. We will return. A lovely little bar and restaurant.
Service was slow and bad. I was never offered a refill on a drink. The food was not as described in the menu. Garlic bread oozing with cheese ( it didn’t) dripping with garlic butter ( it wasn’t). Portions of meat were small. Vegetables were greasy.
The price was high for the minuscule portions. And a party was in a separate room and they didn’t close the door so we couldn’t hear ourselves think. All in all, a miserable effort.
The description on open able is out dated. They had no fixed menu.
Was a continental breakfast. Not what the description or menus showed.
Shouldn’t even be on the app.
Great food and amazing service. Best birthday dinner I’ve had thus far.
Nice meal with friends before the movie. Attentive service.
This again was another great experience and the grilled Cesar salad didn’t disappoint.
While the server did his best to salvage a terrible dinner...he also had to be reminded about requests. I like my food well-seasoned but the French onion soup was beyond salty. There's little to no ambience and the food is mediocre at best....to be fair the ribs were tender...but this resto does not live up to its 4-star rating...will not return or recommend this restaurant. Perhaps it's convenient for those staying at the hotel but even that would not be incentive to return.
Weird location, server seemed always rushed and missed it mixed orders. Had to ask server for little things like chipotle mayo or ketchup for sweet potato fries or fries, they come hand in hand. Overall great steakhouse ambience and good vegetarian options.
My boyfriend and I had a great time.
It exceeded our expectations. The food was great and the service was above average. It was a very chill and mellow vibe would definitely recommend.
Location is tucked in the cosmopolitan hotel lobby. It’s a little bit of an awkward entrance and building but the actual restaurant has a nice look and atmosphere. Food and service were great. We had the 3 course meal and it was delicious and very filling.
The service for a weekday lunch was incredibly slow. The restaurant was not that crowded, and it took close to an hour to get our food — basically three salads. I would not go here for a weekday lunch, when I have to get back to work at a reasonable hour.
Nice, elegant hidden place in the financial district . Great place for a quick simple lunch. Had the Ahi tuna salad. delicious!
Not a good experience. Firstly, the hostess was being trained. She did a poor job. Next, the waiter was ALSO being trained. He didn't know answers to our questions about the menu and generally didn't speak in the way we would expect a waiter at a nice steakhouse to speak. We had a groupon voucher and, instead of the meal being free (since we paid with the voucher), they charged us for the groupon special two times, and removed one as free. Result: $150.00 bill instead of $60. We were drinking so we *almost* didn't catch this error.
Food was also not up to snuff. For the cost of this place, go somewhere else.
We have eaten at Wildfire Steakhouse in North York numerous times and have always had a great experience. Unfortunately we can not say the same for the Wildfire Steakhouse at the Cosmopolitan Hotel. We didn’t feel the food and service was up to the high standards that we have come to expect from previous visits at the other location. Would not return to this location.
The food was great and the service was amazing. Would highly recommend
Service is ok but the food is horrible. Steaks were charred and the vegetables were drowning in butter and garlic it was disgusting. Definitely not worth the price for a steakhouse the steak tasted like it frozen or just a really bad cut of meat it was not an 8oz NY steak
We probably caught them on a bad night. However, we didn’t get served until 90 minutes after we ordered. Service was non existent. While the fish was good, the steak was severely undercooked and the lobster over cooked. To their credit, they did comp the half eaten meal.
