Wildfire - Schaumburg Ratings and Reviews
Wildfire is one of our favorite "special occasion" destinations. The atmosphere and curved booths are sophisticated yet cozy, the food is always fabulous, and the service is wonderful. I do miss the Key Lime Pie Martini, but will be back for the steaks and everything else.
Outstanding and well prepared food. Pricing was appropriate for suburbs. Service was inconsistent and spotty. Needs more consistency to get a star. Very noisy, so I would go early. Well laid out floor plan with booths in the middle . The Lamb Porterhouse Loins were outstanding, but thought it could have used more imaginative presentation and color. Surprising, did not have a light sauce to go with it or small toast.
Anniversary. Loud place. Would not recommend for special dates or anniversaries. Place is super loud like a bar. I don’t think I’ll be back. Service was not good. Needed to always look for the server and had someone do her job. She leaves for 15 minutes occasionally. Didn’t even ask how our food was. Manager was nice and gave us free desert.Must have noticed the server was not doing well. No candles on the table and no nice musics Playing In the background. But, honestly we are not coming back. No worth it. Feel bad for taking my gf here.
Took my boyfriend here for our anniversary dinner. I love their big booths that make you feel like your all to your self. I love the ambiance of the place as well. Low lighting light music so romantic. Our server was amazing so attentive and friendly. They timed our courses out perfectly and at the end brought out a birthday cake surprise for our anniversary. All in all if you are looking to have a nice dinner and feel like royalty come here! Amazing Food as Always.
We went as a party of 6, with a reservation at 4:15pm on a saturday, for my boyfriend's birthday. They sat us at a round table that did not comfortably fit all of us, and when I asked for a larger table, the hostess told me there wasn't one, then proceeded to act like I was requesting a private room... We were forced to deal with the table, in the center of the room, where we didn't all fit comfortably. The noise was ridiculous, having to shout across one person just to be heard. The service wasn't awful, but impatient in the beginning and then slow. I should also mention that I brought a cake, that I specifically requested be brought to me in the box as I gave it to them. IT CLEARLY WAS NOT REFRIGERATED AND WAS BROUGHT OUT TO THE TABLE ON A CAKE DISH WITH CANDLES ALREADY ON IT. If this was their policy, we should have been informed when I gave them the cake and we would have planned accordingly. They're control freaks and I would not recommend if you may have a special request or two.
Was very disappointed in the special menu. On line it said they had a halibut special. Picked Wildfire because of that option. When we got there it was cod onthe menu. Tasted nothing like the halibut we've come to enjoy from here.My granddaughter took hers home in a to go bag because it wasn't that good.Mydaughter, granddaughter and I drive 2 hours from Indiana on our annual Woodfield Mall holiday trip and we always include a dinner at Wildfire. My porkchop was very good and we split an apple pie. It was delicious.
All was good except we had a reservation and we still had to wait a 1/2 an hour when we were told it would be at the most 15 mins.
Also, our grey goose dirty martinis cost $18 a piece! We were not told of this cost in advance until after we paid for the drink at the bar. Most of the Martini’s are between nine and $12. We were shocked to have to pay $40 for two drinks with tip!
Wildfire never disappoints. The salmon, prime rib, half chicken, and filet mignon entrees are delicious. The roasted veggies, mashed potato, and sweet potato sides are equally tasty. I’ve never been disappointed in their desserts either. The service is on point, regular without being too much. We will be back.
Heard some good reviews about this place. But we were disappointed. We went for a regular dinner to eat some meat. The food was fine. Nothing extraordinary. But service was not good. Appearance of waiters was not attractive. A lot of people didn’t even check in their coats and some of them were eating with hats and baseball caps on.
So I don’t think it’s worth the money we paid.
It is always a pleasure to dine at Wildfire-Schaumburg. Made reservation for 7pm. We arrived at 7:08 and was seated right away because there was a booth reserved (as requested at the notes section in the reservation). That was awesome! Especially after the horrific experience at Magianno's-Schaumburg last week, where the reservation was at 7:15pm, arrived 5 minutes early and didn't get seated until 8PM!
Anyway, the waitress Kelly M. was so friendly and helpful! We had a great time and will definitely go there more often!
Food and service outstanding. What wasn't so outstanding were the diners next to us letting their three under-age-10 kids run around their table. We ignored the obnoxiousness of it but the behavior was still unwelcome. Who does that? Serves us right for going to dinner early on a Saturday. We have infant twin girls and do not get out for dinner alone too often so it kinda ruined the mood for us (a foreboding of our children being obnoxious in public when they get older?) The restaurant was busy and we did not see any open tables else we'd have asked to be seated elsewhere.
We'll be back tho....that Stormy Night martini is worth coming back to.
Server was not very attentive and others did not refill waters. Had to ask a few times. Did not follow up often to see how things were or if we needed anything else. Very hard to leave a $28 tip for him. One nice thing he did do was bring out 2 birthday desserts since there were 2 celebrants.
The food was delicious. We had the seafood combo, and everything was cooked absolutely perfectly! The au gratin potatoes were also yummy. I also loved the raspberry martini. I asked for the chocolate martini which Wildfire is known for even though it isn't on the menu anymore. It was a disappointment. Stick to the martini choices on the menu! We love this place, and hope to be back many times.
