Wildfire - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
I was looking forward to having lunch for my birthday with my co-workers and boss. We got to the restaurant on time and was seating in the far back room. The room held about 12 tables total. The water boy brought water right away. There was two girls working the room, neither one of them acknowledged us at the table or looked our way. A Group of 3 ladies came in about 10 minutes after us and I glanced over and noticed that they had drinks and bread at their table. Finally after 20 minutes, I went to the hostess desk and complained. She came back with me, looked at the table and walked away. Within seconds a waiter came from another area and waited on us. I have no complaint with him (Orion) however, from when we sat down, until an hour later, we got the salad that we ordered. When our food came, one of the girls got fries instead of veggies and the waiter (not our waiter) brought her the correct side. They didn't stop to ask if everything was ok, I finally had to ask the water boy to bring me some mustard for my burger. I expect better of Wildfire. There are a lot of places to dine in Oakbrook, my experience leads me to try another restaurant.
Our reservation was at 7:00 but we weren't seated until 7:20. Our server was excellent. He gave us a lot of information about the food choices. He checked on us very consistently and made sure we didn't need anything. For some reason our food took a really long time, so long that he ended up comping our dessert. It was well worth the wait as everything was delicious. We will be back soon!
Wildfire is a restaurant my wife and I enjoy very much. Unfortunately due to how busy the restaurant was on this particular evening we were seated in a side room that was very tight. There was hardly room for the guests and servers to walk between myself and the person behind me which caused me to constantly be bumped into. Being that I made the reservation more than three weeks in advance I would have preferred better seating.
Food was great as always as was our server.
My wife and I went here as a belated valentines day Dinner. we were seated in the back room. Nobody should ever be put in that room we come there for the ambiance of the main dining area. I was really upset that we got put there I always ask to not be seated there and got seated there anyways. I love the food and the wait staff were excellent but the table placement ruins it for me especially since we spend so much money at you establishment we have been many times. Overall I would recommend but I hate that back room.
Recently visited WildFire to celebrate my wife's birthday. We've dined here before and knew the food and service were very good. This visit did not disappoint. The wait staff was excellent. They were courteous, personable, and attentive without being interruptive to our conversation. Breads were tasty, especially the corn bread. Our entrees were duck, which was the nightly special, and skirt steak. Both were very tasty and cooked exactly as we requested. Sides of broccoli and mixed vegetables was very good and generous portions. The side Caesar salad was okay, not great. The portion was large but healthy greens were few. Highly recommend WildFire.
The service was very good. It was Valentine's Day, so it was very crowded. There were a lot of tables close together, so it was not my best experience there. The food was also not as great as usual. Overall, it was still good just not the best time I have been there.
We usually go to the Glenview Wildfire, but chose Oakbrook to reduce driving for some of our guests. The service was very slow and inattentive. The food was just OK. Disappointing given that we eat certain items regularly and they are usually reliably good. One guest's broccoli was actually cold. Ugh!
I was not happy. I had reservation for a while and they ended up putting us in bar at booth. We waited to be seated so I did not want my guests to wait any longer. When we got to the booth I said don’t u have a table she said well we have one that is paying check but by that time we had just walked thru crowded bar and my husband is 73 and walks with cane. She should of given me the choice beforehand. It was hard for my husband to step up to booth. Booth two tight and it ruined our meal. Food good but only remember the bad receptionist. She was very rude to me also. I asked her twice how long and she barely answered me.
We dined at Wildfire for my son's 25th birthday. There were 6 in our party. Our waiter Matt was great. Very friendly and fun. Took our order and our food was served in a timely manner. However, I ordered a Petite Filet - medium, baked potato and Béarnaise sauce. Unfortunately the filet was not served hot and the sauce was luke warm. I did not send the steak and sauce back because I did not want to hold up dinner for my family. I mentioned this to a manager as we were leaving and did not get much of a response. This was disappointing considering the reputation of your restaurant and the cost of our meal.
