Wildfire - Oak Brook Ratings and Reviews
My first time here and it was everything. I was a little late for my reservations but it was not a problem. The customer service was excellent Ave the food was even better. It was my birthday dinner and they made it very special like I wanted I brought a cake and they held it, cut it and packed it up. I would recommend this place to everyone it was great!!!
Way too loud. We were seated at a round table for 8 people and could not hear the conversation across the table. We were also seated next to the kitchen which made us uncomfortably warm. This occasion was a bi-monthly get together among close friends. Great fun with friends, but unfortunately we will not be going back to Wildfire.
I was a little disappointed in the service I received during my most recent visit to Wildfire-Oakbrook. There was a large party seating right in front of us that she was also tending to. I do understand that she had other tables to take of obviously, however, we left pretty much ignored during the entire meal. I come to Wildfire for the great service and food, however, this experience was less than adequate in the service department.
We have been eating at Wildfire for many years. The food has never disappointed us. We were Christmas shopping. Using the Lettuce Entertain You app, I made reservations for a late lunch time. When we arrived our table was ready. We weren't rushed and it was a nice break from the cold and crunch of people.
In the past when I have patronized Wildfire everything has been spot on. However, this visit was the total opposite. I asked the waitress for straws. Waited about 15 minutes and had to ask again. It appears that she was totally consumed with a large group adjacent from us. When our food was served, my food was fine. However, my fiancé's steak was overcooked and her baked potato was hard. Her meal was replaced, by that time I was done with my meal and we got it to go. Never had an issue with Wildfire, but this visit sucked!
Being seated quite near the open kitchen makes for a very noisy component when coupled with the conversational levels of the lunch crowd. The stacking of the heavy-duty plates is the noisy operation and a bit of a distraction. I would request an alternate seating location in the future.
We have been going to Wildfire for many years. The food is consistent, the service is great & of course it’s close to great shopping! There was one thing on the menu that they changed & that is the crab cakes. I much prefer the old receipe & wish they would bring those back.
hostesses and wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. i had the filet and my friend had the lamb chops . Lamb was alittle undercooked but tasty. Filet was also alittle undercooked and the spinach was very salty.
drinks were great. love the apple martini.
We were really looking forward to dinner that night as we have been there before and it was delicious, however this was not the best experience for us my steaks were overdone the potatoes were cold and the vegetables were mushy. Also they did not box up leftover potatoes, just threw them away. Drinks were good and waiter was great
My husband and I were out Christmas shopping and dropped by for lunch. The French dip was excellent-one of the best I have had. The meat was so tender and my husband had a stuffed burger that he really liked. As always the food is great whether it is a steak, salad or a sandwich. And os course the dessert was excellent. The only downside was our waiter. He was slow to fill drinks and bring by the dessert tray. We noticed others around us looking for him needing drink refills and such.
Service was good. Waiter and hostess accomodating. Food was not up to usual standards. Sauce on the cedar plank salmon detracted from the cedar smoke flavor. Shrimp cocktail and gluten-free onion soup were great.
Unfortunately VERY loud. Difficult to have a conversation. I would not characterize mouse level as energetic, rather it was raucous.
Made reservations for dinner at 7:00. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. Noise level was unacceptable for dining. I asked for alternate seating but was told "sorry". We could not conduct a conversation well because of EXTREME NOISE. Additionally, foot traffic was high around the booth because of customers moving in and out of bar area.
I was not a "walk in", I had reservations. I will not use on line reservations in the future.
Food was good, but at this price point good is expected. Service was very good and the staff was very attentive. House wines were acceptable but nothing worth noting. Cocktails were a bit disappointing as they lack any real substance to them. This has always been a noisy venue, which is fine as long as you know that going in.
Great menu.....tasty food......outstanding staff and service, and a great 40's ambiance.
Rokas was our server and this gent is amazing.....fast, polite and professional.
He remembers all our favorite items.....without ever having to ask, plus he speaks in Lithuanian.
Thank you for a great night and dinner
