Wildfire - Oak Brook

They had the round table, as requested, ready for us. Joe was our server. He took great care of us. All the special requests didn’t stop him once. The food was so delicious. I was eating light so “settled” for the kale salad, but it was EXCELLENT. Glad I got the grilled chicken with it. Everyone cleaned their plates... coconut shrimp; crab cake sandwich; halibut.... then we ordered dessert.
The banana coconut cream pie was a little runny and a bit too sweet, but I still enjoyed it. The apple pie is huge... even a half slice. We were all envious of our friend who chose the 1/2 key lime pie. Half desserts are a great idea.
They kept walking past our table with brooms and dust pans and garbage cans
We had a wonderful Anniversary dinner including a complimentary dessert. Our server was outstanding. Definitely will return again!
Food was not prepared to order as requested. Will visit again. Server seemed anxious to leave.
Wildfire never disappoints - took my mom for her birthday, it was her first time there. She loved it!
service was exeptional, friendly and fast. food was very good
The server was incredible and he was just on it. Food was very good, highly recommend.
Great good great service, will definitely be back!
Our waiter was excellent, made everything perfect!
Once again Wildfire was THE perfect place.
Stellar food as always. Very consistent. Our server “Anthony” was superb.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner for my now 10 year old who LOVES filet mignon. (Yeah, we're in trouble.) The food was excellent, as was the service. And the birthday dessert that was brought to my child was one of the most decadent things I've ever tried.
The food is always excellent at Wildfire and the service was great. The only negative is that they had recorded my meal as coconut shrimp instead of coho salmon, so I had to wait a bit after the others received their food. When the food did arrive, however, it was delicious and I had enough for leftovers, which were also great. The glasses of wine were very generous, and the apple dessert was amazing.
Love Wildfire - great, great food but I have to say, we were a little disappointed with the Ribeye my husband and I split. It seemed quite dry, especially for Medium to Med Rare - it was visibly pink in the middle so it's not like it was over-cooked. The shrimp & crab bisque, au gratin potatoes and the caramel pie were all heavenly -- the steak, not so much. We definitely would not order it again.
Good food, reliable service, a chopped salad to die for. This is a staple in our lives.
Great food and service
We had a very nice time celebrating a birthday and Wildfire. Our server did a great job!
Wonderful food and friendly service. Really enjoyed the loverly chocolate birthday cake.
Server was amazing and very attentive with our table/needs even though he had many other tables to take care of. Loved it!
We had ordered the Chopped Salad and it seemed to have only iceberg lettuce so it really lacked flavor this time around. Flatbreads are fabulous! Our server was so sweet and genuine! Another wonderful Anniversary celebration! Thx
Food had to be sent back twice the waitress and manger both unfriendly and gave attitude no one followed up to see if anything was needed
Excellent as always sit in the bar and ask for George he is the best
The food and service was fantastic. Due to a number of large parties we had to wait past our reservation time to get in. Understandable but it's always nice to have a reservation honored. I'd still go back regardless. There were a number of menu items that I want to try.
I made a reservation in advance and requested the main dining room. We did not get that room. We were seated in the smaller lower room. We like the food and the service is good.
We have been going to Wildfire for many years now & really do like it there but the last time we were there it was so COLD that I was extremely uncomfortable throughout our dinner. I realize that it is hard during this time of the year to anticipate what the outdoor temperature is going to be & how to adjust indoor temperatures but it was just too, too cold to make eating a pleasant experience. I mentioned this to the person who seated us but I don't think he took me seriously.
And we also miss the crab cakes which used to be on the menu which we absolutely loved & always ordered every time. Now we don't order the crab cakes at all so please consider bringing back the old recipe! Thanks!
Pretty busy. Lots of events. Ok, but could be better
Great dinner. Made reservations but got seated in the bar area. Service was awesome. Super loud.
Excellent Meal & Service. Enjoyed the entire evening at the dinner.
Seated promptly and drinks were good. My husband loved the corn bread! Lunch was delicious.
Everything was great I even got a cake for my birthday 😁
Consistently great and pleasure for a romantic couple moment.
Great service and food was good, but most of it came out cold
It has been a number of years since I frequented a Wildfire restaurant, but I recalled really enjoying the ones I had been to in Lincolnshire area and Chicago. Decided to try Oak Brook’s location and was disappointed. It was congested and a loud family atmosphere which I can handle. Food however was really off. The tuna tartare looked gray and tasted fishy. The waiter noticed we weren’t eating it and offered to take it off the tab when we told him it didn’t taste right. Also had the fish of the day and it honestly tasted like frozen fish sticks. I left 2/3 of it on my plate. For my bday the waiter brought a gluten free chocolate cake - also not tasty - and wished me and my boyfriend a happy anniversary instead of a happy bday. Just bummed especially for the price.
I ordered the shrimp cocktail with a salad. The shrimp was really poor quality. I was surprised, as I’ve dined several times at Wild Fire and always enjoyed the food.
We had a party of 4 and ordered a large dessert to split. Our sever dropped it off with four forks, and ran away too quickly for us to ask for plates and a serving utensil. We had to wait a good ten minutes before we were able to get another server’s attention that we needed plates. No one wants to share off of one plate with no serving utensil or individual plates...
Food great but it was too cold in there!
Great Food and Great Service
I would have given the ambiance 5 stars except that they sat us in a small back room away from the main dining room. It was as if we were sitting in an enclosed back porch. The tables were crammed in and we were pretty much sitting on top of the next table of six who were very loud. We had to move the table over so that I could get out when it was time to leave. I wasn't very happy with that since I had noted that it was our anniversary.
Our table was located in the walking isle so that was very distracting and my father had to stand up multiple times to allow people to pass by with walkers and such. Our waitress was fine. Not super attentive but still very good. The food was really good but our veggies seemed a bit over done. In general it was a good experience. We would return but we would request different seating.
