We always enjoy the food and atmosphere at WildFire. A pricey lunch but worth it.
One word, AWFUL. Hovering waiter until we gave him our order. Then he disappeared. I had to hunt him down to get another drink. When the meal arrived the poached eggs on all four meals were well done, probably because they sat under the heat lamps.
We have dined here before and has an enjoyable time. Next brunch will be at Prairie Grass.
We tried Wildfire in Lincolnshire for brunch. Service was a bit spotty as my wife's order was wrong but corrected quickly. Also for brunch I expect my coffee cup to stay full and hot. Had to ask several times for more coffee and at the end of the meal my cup was dry. Overall a pretty good experience for my wife's birthday.
To many tables, very crowded, aimost claustaphobic and overly noisy. Had to ask for silverware after salad was brought and a couple requests for lemon to be brought.
They were just so wonderful and accomodated us. We had someone with special needs with us as it was such a special night. It just made our night coming there(Jennifer at the hostess stand was wonderful)...especially our waiter Ryan :-)
the most enjoyable evening i have had in a while food was great well priced and great service would recommed it to anyone.
Always guaranteed a good steak at Wildfire, it's my family's favorite party spot also - they make a great martini and manhattan. We enjoy everything from pizza and salad at the bar to a full meal in a cozy booth.
Had a nice lunch there. Nothing special.
Unfortunately, we were sat in the bar area. The service was terrible - server was very slow, unattentive and somewhat rude to us. He seemed to be much better with the other tables around us - maybe he didn't want to wait on kids.
Enjoyed celebrating our 10th anniversary at Wildfire
This is one of our top 5 restraunts to go to and they did not disappoint on the food as always! However, they were clearly overbooked, short-staffed and generally confused. It was chaotic, and the wait staff seemed to be running in circles. We were near the kitchen and saw many dinners sitting for a long time prior to delivery. Did not look good. In addition, I know we have had crazy weather, but for heavens sake turn on the air conditioning so that diners aren't uncomfortable with heat.
We will go back, this was a momentary lapse, but disappointed.
Our server was very slow and forgot to put a salad in that we requested to take out when we left. We were there at lunch and hoped the pace would be a bit faster than dinner but it was very slow and it took 2+ hours to get our party of 6 in and out. Fortunately, the food was outstanding, as usual!
Special occasion. Packed Tuesday nite, thankfully had reservation. Who'd a thought a Tues nite. Promptly seated. Being 3 went with table vs booth. Server was tipped off. Although very busy, was very attentive and friendly. Didn't feel rushed. Excellent dinner menu & various specials. All seafood is excellent from apps to entrees. 1 had a lite macadamia crusted halibut (special), 1 had a rich crab stuffed trout (regular Tues special). Nice portions. 1 had 7oz petite filet prepared just right. Red mashed potatoes, buttery & smooth as silk. Fresh fruit crisp/cobbler w/ice cream - awesome. With a packed house, loud but not ear shattering. Wrap around booths would be a bit more romantic and little quieter for 2. Bottom line, really nice evening!
Excellent meat choices with reasonable pricing. Mondays are half price bottles of wines, with some decent wines on the list. One person in our party had fish and they said it was very good.
Happy to see the Mac Nut Crusted Halibut on the menu this year, as it was greatly missed in 2011. The food was divine, and the wait staff couldn't be more accomodating and attentive.
My all time favorite restaurant. They know what to do and how to do it... Our group enjoyed the chThe chopped salad, the beef medallions and the halibut. The dark rye rolls with raisins are so tasty, and the sweet potatoes will even convert non likers... they are just that great. We dine here often and have never been disappointed.
And that's what makes Wildfire so great! Wildfire is always an excellent place for quality food and service. A reservation is a must if you're going anytime after say 5:30 or if you have a larger group.
Food and service was more than satisfactory. The bar was extemely crowded although I am not sure how that issue can be addressed. We are .from Ontario and although we have some crowded restaurants dinner reservations are usually spread out so that once entering the bar area and having a single drink we are often at our seats. Good for you but not the best for those waiting for dinner. We arrived on time and we had three drinks before we were seated for dinner. Very difficult to hear the dinner conversation (six of us) as the noise level(acoustics) were not the best
Friendly, focused on the customer, great service, mouth-watering food!
The food and service were excellent. The waiter provided service above and beyond the call of duty. We loved the restaurant and will definitely return.
Angel B, is an excellent server.
Wildfire is the restaurant I always select for special occasions. The food never fails to impress. Normally, at other steak houses the filet usually requires a fair amount of au jus to accompany it but my Peppercorn Filet at Wildfire last night was perfectly moist and tender. The service was very good and we had a memorable recitation by the waiter of ALL the evening specials. For an exceptional appetizer, we would recommend the fried calamari.
The food and service are always consistently superb!
Food was excellent and the service was beyond excellent.
We arrived on time and were seated promptly. Our waitress was polite and friendly. Our appetizers were great, the french onion soup was fantastic. The horseradish crusted filet was excellent. The char crusted ribeye steak with horseradish crust added was a bit tough and fatty.
I WAS DISAPPOINTED WITH MY LAST EXPERIENCE WITH WILDFIRE.
I HAD EATEN THERE BEFORE AND WAS EAGER TO RETURN. I WILL NOT RETURN AGAIN. AT LEAST NOT FOR A LONG TIME. I ORDERED PRIME RIB THAT WAS MEDIOCRE AT BEST. THE BILL FOR OUR DINNER ( TWO PEOPLE WAS 63.00) NO BEVERAGE ONLY WATER THE SERVER WAS FINE BUT THE FOOD WAS NOT.
ribs were great with the beer flight!
Waitress rarely came to ask how things were. We wanted to ask for more bread and could not get her attention asked for an extra straw and did not get it. The person who brought the food to the table passed a hot plate of food, with the steak knife on it, over the heads of two people, one being a child. The person should have gone around to the other side of the table.
Great food and service. Fairly noisy.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. We choose Wildfire for our anniversary dinner each year because we know it's all good!!!
I have been to Wildfire Schaumburg several times and loved it but I didn't have the greatest experience at the Lincolshire location. My complaints are: My wife and I had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation. While waiting you could hear other couples and groups complaining about the wait....how they were told "another 15 minutes" every 15 minutes. As far as the food, the steak was great but my wife ordered the halibut that she loves there. It was overcooked and very dry.
well done as usual! They never fail!
Wildfire is our absolute favorite restaurant and now that their halibut is back, we have got to go more often!!
Happy to see the haibut has returned!
Temperature in there is always cold. Too cold. Burrrrrrr.
It was a very delightful evening. Food was very good and the service was just right. Will be going back soon!
Excellent! We really enjoy Wildfire. We've been to Wildfire numerous times and the food is always great. Our last visit was on 4/11/12 to celebrate our son's 15th birthday.
i have eaten at this restaurant numerous times and many times i have asked for a chicken sandwhich that is on the lunch menu and they have always complied, this time they said that the best they could do was to crust the current chicken sandwhich that was listed on the dinner menu
Every mail I have had was great. My compliments to you kitchen help.. they are great.
Wildfire is always good but I would have preferred not to sit in the bar area.
