Wildfire - Lincolnshire Ratings and Reviews
Wildfire is one of our favorite restaurants we were very disappointed with the food and the service the food, which is something my husband always orders was not good ( they took it off the bill) which was nice they also gave us a dessert when we ordered the dessert it was nothing like how it looked on the dessert platter .
Also the server seemed to get lost between entree’s we had to ask for the manager several times
Very disappointed for my birthday celebration
I usually love wildfire. The wait time for service was long. The wait time for drinks was long to the point we were going to order 2 at a time. The drinks were inconsistent. We ordered 2 stormy nights and they looked and tasted different. I ordered medium well filet and it was not like the description. I get that you may need to butterfly the steak but then eliminate the medium well option because it is always well.
Service was rushed, it took 3 times for them to cook my daughters Filet Mignon medium rare, servers were reaching over others eating to hand plates to people, waiter had be asked 3 times to bring sweetener for the ice tea, and everything he brought to the table was dropped on the table with a thud and then shoved toward the person who ordered it. Grandma never received her coleslaw and not a single food item was hot, it was all luke warm to room temperature. Additionally the decor was outdated and the bathroom entrances were in the path of some type of serving area. We have eaten at the Oakbrook location many many times and would highly recommend it. We would NEVER recommend the Lincolnshire location. Really sad.
Unfortunately, the halibut and grouper were overcooked. The lamb chops were tough and fatty. The crab cakes were alright, but the accompanying sauce tasted too much like mayonnaise. The pumpkin pie was good, but we prefer more pumpkin pie and less topping. The apple pie was the highlight of our meal. It was terrific.
I was at this facility this Monday evening for dinner. Party of 7 at 5:45 P.
I ordered the "Special" Fried Chicken, which was inedible and way overdone.
If you can't get the Special correct, imagine how the balance of the meal was.
I would have sent it back to the Kitchen, but didn't want to embarass my Guests or Wildfire.
Expectations were not met!
Normally go to downtown Chicago Wildfire but because of distance, decided to try Lincolnshire location. I was disappointed in the food. Have never sent anything back at the Chicago venue. Had to send back two entrees and a third was overdone but I we ate it anyway because we had already taken pre-dinner medication. Next time will travel the extra distance . Service, however, was very good.
We ordered a steak and prime rib and both were prepared as ordered (Medium Rare), nice flavor, and we had no complaints about the quality of the cuts of meat. The side dishes we ordered were also both very tasty. Even though Wildfire was quite busy at Saturday dinner time, our service and waitress was excellent.
Was disappointed, we've been to Wildfire many times it is one of our go to places. However, tonight was just not one of their better nights. Our table was sticky, service was just okay. My filet mignon was charred on the outside and raw inside, scallops were not great. Overall just not up to par, and the consistency we are accustomed to at Wildfire. Our past visits have been much better. Calamari was the highlight. We will come back, because let's face it, everyone has an off night.
Food is always good. The Ahi Tuna was great and my prime rib was very good. A side dish always comes with the meal with a choice of several different veggies or a choice of several different potatoes. All of them are delicious.
The best part was our server Dawn. She was so pleasant and so familiar with all the choices and gave us her recommendations which proved to be perfect. Dawn was always checking on our table and we never had to wait for anything.
