Wildfire - Lincolnshire Ratings and Reviews
I’m a true fan of Wildfire. I live locally and it’s my favorite place to dine, especially for lunch with good friends. Your servers are excellent. I go to Glenview too. But like your restaurant better for overall quality. So glad you’re in Lincolnshire!
Been here many times and always good service but not on Sunday. Had ribs and was never offered bowl for bones or wet napkin for messy hands. Our server “disappeared”for long periods of time and nowhere to be found. I have never complained about anyone, but just had to this time!!
I've been here dozens of times, and the food is always very good; no exception this time. My only "gripe" was our server was a bit abrupt, not unfriendly though. When we asked for gluten free menu, our server asked "why, does someone have a gluten allergy?" Um, none of your business, but, yes...Otherwise, everything was very good; in fact, I ordered the 10 oz. prime rib, and I actually thought it looked bigger than 10 oz. Not too fatty either. Filet with shrimp was decent, although filet was slightly overcooked, and tender, but not super tender like you'd expect from a filet.
My second bad experience at this location within a two week span. Filet Medallions were raw in the middle both times, I reserved a booth and 4 of us were crammed into a small booth when there were at least 8 larger booths available, salads came before appetizers, dishes weren't cleared from the table at all, but beer glasses were taken away with no offer of bringing another beer. I love WIldfire, but will never visit this location again.
We have been members of leye for years I did not request my usual seating in the bar. the booths were all but one empty and they would not seat us in one. But it only got worse after that.
Our Waitress, was not at all engaged in taking care of us, "Kim" was her name. Our food was not hot .my friends drink was not good ,we sent that back. The crowning blow was we felt rushed ,she keep taking dishes with food and we were still eating. I have never ,never experienced a night out at WILD FIRE like this EVER. We both came home exhausted and very hungry. This was so unbelievable for Wild Fire. I am still in shock and it was only Monday.
Wildfire used to be the go-to spot. It had great, high quality food and a good atmosphere. I've been there twice in two months and I have to say the food quality has gone down significantly. The salad lettuce was soft, not crisp, and not very cold. The ribs that were once fall off the bone were fatty. The steak trio had a piece that looked old and tasted the same. I didn't have a great food experience the last time I was there and thought we should try it again. Same experience. It's disappointing. Time to update the menu and food quality.
while the food was excellent as is usual at Wildfire, the 45 minute wait past our reservation time was completely unacceptable and no reason or apology was given. We ordered an appetizer and the martini flight, both which took a long time to arrive at the table, with our meal being served less than 10 minutes later, even though we had ordered our entrees at least 10 minutes after the appetizer and drinks order was placed I feel as though we were being rushed through our meal since we didn't get seated until 9pm and the restaurant closes at 10
Although we had a reservation, we weren't seated until 50 minutes after our reservation. They definitely overbooked. Once we did get seated, we were treated like royalty. They definitely made up for their overbooking by offering a free salad or appetizer, as well as giving us 5-star service. Unfortunately, there wasn't a fish I liked on the menu, so the fish I ordered didn't satisfy my desire. Other than that, I was very happy with the dining experience.
Busy Saturday night, we had to wait about 45 min after our reservation to be seated, but there were a couple large private parties going on so no biggie. A manager acknowledged it immediately after we were seated and offered an appetizer on the house. They handled it well.
We were pleasantly surprised to walk in the door at 5:45 and be seated immediately! We did have a 5:45 reservation but the waiting area was very full.
Our server was very energetic and helpful. We had mentioned we were celebrating 3 birthdays and she even brought 3 complimentary desserts.
We love the filet mignon Wellington that is only prepared on Saturdays and it was delicious as usual!
They overbooked their reservations and we had to stand for 45 minutes in the entrance which was freezing. I think most reservations were running 30 minutes behind. Once they finally called our reservation they put us in a side room that was also freezing. The manager did apologize and offered a couple appetizers, but they really need to manage their reservations better.
We were at Wildfire Lincolnshire on New Year's Eve. All things considered, the food was really good and the bar where we had drinks earlier had great service. Putting a party of 2 (us) in a room with a 12 and 2 fours was likely not the best decision. The 2 fours and us seemed to struggle for the waitstaff attention (my glass of wine was forgotten until I had the opportunity to mention it 30 minutes later and our water glasses were empty). Overall I have had better experiences there so I would go back. Biggest plus was the bartender (female - Cassandra???) She was great with the service and great with the other customers at the bar, whether they were eating at the bar or picking up drinks.
Wildfire is my top restaurant. However, this last visit the steak was awful. It had large chunks of fat, it was charred and cooked through-I asked for medium rare. I know it was NYE so it was busy, which is why I did not ask for another or complain to our waiter. It seems minuscule to complain about a steak, but when you pay that much for it, you expect way more. I was so excited for this meal and left throughly disappointed. I may return to Wildfire on a less busy night as I’m assuming the kitchen was getting overlooked on this busy night. In the meantime, I will enjoy making my own steak from Sunset foods-which are a fraction of the price, tender and of better quality than the one I was served. My suggestion is to go here on a ‘normal’ night and not when they are just trying to turn tables.
We are frequently at Wildfire but would not return on New Year’s Eve. Our reservation was not honored on time—1/2 hour late—and our waiter was completely inept. He spilled a glass of water on the table, and instead of getting the help from a bus boy, tried to mop it up with cocktail napkins. After we used all of our cloth napkins, we had to repeatedly ask for him to replace these. When he took our order, he took one of the six, then said he’d be right back. 20 minutes later,we flagged him down and asked him to take rest of our orders. Crazy. We wound up missing the movie we planned to see. He did bring a dessert to the table to make up for the service, but honestly, this was not adequate. Love Wildfire, but not on New Year’s Eve!
