Wildfire - Glenview Ratings and Reviews
Our waiter was horrible.
He forgot to bring us three things that we asked for or ordered.
We ordered our salad right away and we wanted to order our entree soon after. That didn’t happen.
We waited about 25 minutes to order our entrees.
He kept saying he would be right back and didn’t.
We voiced our complaints and he said “I appreciate your patience. But know I’m trying to be patient with you”!
I come to the Glenview location often
Took advantage of the valentines dinner special which offered a good variety. I had the crab dinner while my wife enjoyed the filet with the parmesan crust. Both were great tasting and filling. service was excellent. It was a great meal for two at a great price.
We were seated quickly and the wait staff was very pleasant. The drink and wine selection was excellent as wad the food. I felt the price represented a good value and the ambiance was comfortable. A little noisy for my taste, but not unreasonable. We will be back soon.
One of our favorite places to eat for several reasons. Great service , we’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes with a reservation. The main dining room is busy but has a nice ambience . They have a great menu and my favorite is the bone-in ribeye and the double stuffed baked potato. The prices are reasonable and they often have specials when you purchase gift cards and you can accumulate points to apply for future visits. The service is always great and I will continue to frequent this wonderful restaurant!
I was introduced to Wildfire several years ago and always looked forward to the dinning experience. However, this experience was so bad not sure I would ever go back or recommend anyone to dine there. The filet was not prepared as ordered and full of gristle. The mashed red potatoes were very bland and tasteless. The quality of the food is what you might expect to find at a fast food place, not an over priced upscale restaurants. Save your money!!!!
We were seated quickly and the table and surroundings were very nice. Our waitress was awful. Didn’t ask if we wanted drinks, didn’t help with the menu, didn’t ask if we wanted appetizers or salad/soup, etc. Basically asked what we wanted, brought it, left, maybe stopped once to refill my water. The food was mediocre for the price range and their steak was tough and low quality. Nothing was well seasoned and it was all pretty bland, other than the lemon in EVERYTHING including the broccoli, which was an odd flavor. We hoped dessert save it, but the only great part of the cheesecake was the crust. At that price, there are many MUCH better options.
We go to this Wildfire often with our immediate family. we always sit in a booth in the bar as it is less noisy and can watch the TVs . when i make the reservation I always mention that we have 1 party member needing a gluten free menu. they have a great gf menu. on most occasions, they will promptly bring out a gluten free bread option as they see this request on the reservation. however, this time we had to remind them and it took a very long time to get the gluten free bread as they make it special. also, we ordered all the food and drinks at once, (only 1 glass of wine and 1 diet coke) and it took a VERY long time to get the drinks Had i known this I would have gotten the drinks at the bar on my own as we waited a few minutes for the table. I just felt this time that the service was a little slower on this occasion as compared to the past. I understand they were busy in the restaurant. the bar area was not full though.
As always, Wildfire's consistency to excellence to service remains the BEST!
Our thanks to Michael for his attention to customers and details.
Thank you, Wildfire, for caring for your customers and showing it by promoting
the highest caliber of management.

Of the many times I have been to Wildfire in Glenview, this was the best service I ever experienced there. The Beef Wellington was perfect, from crust and mushroom pate to the filet which was generous, very tender and tasty. The potatoes and snap peas were great, too. My date had the steak medallions trio which he totally enjoyed, but it was much less food than my Wellington, the Saturday night special. We had the Justin Cabernet which was the right temperature and a good compliment to our steaks.
My wife and I went to Wildfire on 2/10 at 5:45pm. The restaurant was busy but not yet crazy. We frequent the Schaumburg location as we enjoy the food and martinis. On this night our experience was far from the norm. We had reserved a booth in the bar area and we were promptly seated at arrival(though oddly seated in a corner booth which is over-sized for two people). The main issue on the night was the slow service, we waited at every turn for our server to come by and he was even hard to wave down. I don't think I ask much from a server, but i shouldn't be waiting 20 minutes for my check. Also we were never asked if we wanted a second drink or dessert. By the time he came back to our table we had decided we would get dessert and a second drink elsewhere. I usually find Wildfire enjoyable but on this night the service was very poor and disappointing.
I was disappointed by how few vegan options are available on the menu. Even the black bean burger is made with cheese. And the black ran soup has bacon. And every salad (I think) has either cheese, egg, or bacon.
The waitress was helpful, and the kitchen made a simple vegetable/garlic pasta for me, but more vegan options would keep me coming back.
