The restaurant was very crowded. We had an important business dinner and were sat next to a very large noisy family. I asked to be moved, and the hostess was rude about it, and the server was worse. He was incredibly rude about it.

Wildfire delivers consistently good food but on busy nights the service is spotty. Don't ask for anything extra like another bread because it probably won't come, as it deviates from the meal routine. Water glasses may not get refilled and no one will ask you how everything is tasting. The best option is to go there very early or not on a Saturday night at all.

In the 25 years I have been going to Wildfire, I have always had the onion bread.....this past week, they didn’t have it and served corn bread!!! At first, I was so disappointed, but then I had a piece, and it was very pleasant to have something different!!! Very good corn bread.....I hope they do it more often!!!

Food was good but not much options for vegetarians or vegans. I tried to get more vegetables for chop salad since I left out chicken, bacon, and blue cheese but the server said she would charge extra for avocado. You would think there’s at least $5 of food left out that would make up for that. I would not recommend this place for vegetarians since they don’t even accommodate dietary restrictions and you leave food out that you can’t eat but pay as you got it. I felt that we didn’t get the value. We will go to Crave next door, next time.

Our favorite dinner out spot, time after time. The prime rib is the best, by far, of any other places in the western suburbs.

Food was good but our waitress ignored us, the appetizer and main course were delivered at the same time about 40 minutes after being seated, and she never asked if wanted another drink or let us know or acknowledged why the food took so long. We've had good service in the past so we'll give it another chance but we were not happy.

Not first time dining here, once or twice a year, have always had a great experience. This time it started with the bread served when seated being old and dried out, which the waitress promptly replaced. Then our drinks arrived, my wife had wine which was fine but I had ordered a Capt Morgan and Coke which arrived and was severely watered down or was some off brand rum, very disappointed. We each had the Filet Mignon which was excellent. Our reservation was for my wife’s birthday which they usually acknowledge in someway, a special desert or something, not this time, a little disappointment there. Guess when you spend $120 or so on a dinner for two you expect a little more.

Consistently good food. Expensive for dinner at the bar, but a good filet and spinach. Salads also good.

Our waiter was great. Very engaging and funny. I appreciated the birthday treat at the end of our meal. The wine flight was a great value! My 93 yr old father loved the walleye, but he said the fries weren't crispy enough. :-)

It had been a very long time since we had been here and that was just for lunch. And lunch was good. The recent reviews seemed excellent so off we went. What a $270 dollar blunder. I just don't get how the place gets such good reviews. So many better options out there. Maybe people just into a habit?

Anyway, we were greeted by a lady who’s goal was clearly not customer satisfaction. When we asked whether we could have a booth, she said "do you see an open booth? I don't. If you are you referring to the one on the upper level, that one is reserved. Did you specifically reserve a booth?" My wife meekly replied, "no". So off went went to a table for 4 in the middle of the dining room. All the tables are spaced about 12 inches from each other. Just crazy for this level of dining to feel like you have others at your table. My 16 year old sons comment was "I didn't realize this was communal dining." We felt like a number had just been put on our forehead. But ya know we must be odd birds. The place was packed and again, the place gets great reviews. Nevertheless, in my opinion, at this level of restaurant, literally half the tables needed to be taken out.

The best I can describe the service and food was robotic. Service was efficient and courteous but not personable. How could it be with the number of tables being served? When the food was delivered we were asked if we needed anything else, but the waitress never came back to see how our food was. If she had, we might have sent the steaks back.

In terms of the food, with the exception of both my sons and my steak being overdone, and the peppercorn sauce being more like a gravy that belonged at Thanksgiving, the food was acceptable. No more, no less. Presentation was basic to be nice. Not a bit of artistic flair in sight on any of the courses.

For us, never again. So many better options.

I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish – one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable.
