As always the food and service was outstanding, it was my dates first time dining there and she was very impressed.
Great service! Went for a birthday celebration and the staff was great! The food was amazing! I think I may have found my new favorite restaurant.
Staff was very friendly. I appreciated the confirmation call to lock in our reservation. Ambience= B: steak house basics (dark wood, wine bottles, black and white photos of famous (?) people). Waiter was nice, helpful, and aside from forgetting to bring my wife’s second cocktail, spot on. He waived the charge for that drink before we even asked so kudos!! Food was meh. Apps: calamari... fried in dark oil which was a day or two beyond needing a change out. Everything fried was too dark, including fries. Crab and shrimp bisque = top notch! Main course:I had the horseradish crusted filet. Temp was a perfect medium rare but the flavor was flat and the horseradish had no pop. Spouse had Saturday special: Filet/beef Wellington. Perfect temp again - flavor was solid. They treated my daughter to a comp’d lava cake for her birthday- very nice. Other desserts were also good. Biggest complaint is sound from kitchen: about five minutes someone was dropping an empty pan and I jumped every time.
Planned a meal with family for dinner and the review for this restaurant was great overall so we tried it out. It did not disappoint. A bit noisy in the open dining room, but we could still carry on a conversation. The server was attentive. Food came quickly and prepared well. Servings were ample. I shared an entree (pork chops) and salad (kale salad) with my wife and we still left a bit of food on the plate. We would return again and try other dishes.
Very very slow service. Porterhouse just wast up to par at all. Other had a ribeye that they said was very good. 8 people went, 4 said meals were good, 4 did not like the meals at all. Must have just caught them in a bad night..
When we arrived we told our server that we had tickets for a musical and would not need to wait to order. She brought our salad, and then we waited a long time for our entrees. She did mention once that dinner should be coming soon. When it finally did arrive we needed silverware and there was no one to be found to bring it so we grabbed one from a neighboring table. Because of our lack of extra time we didn't even look at a dessert menu for fear that if we ordered we would be late for our musical.
Everything was excellent. The food was on point. I enjoyed myself.
Very dissapointed to see Mac and cheese was removed from menu.
Au Gratin Potatoes were not the best.
We've dined here for years and it's always been top notch!
I brought clients here for dinner and they really liked it. I would have appreciated a bit more variety in the menu, but the food was wonderful; everyone had a good time, and it was a success.
The food was fantastic. I personally appreciate that they have a gluten free menu. The quality of food is superb and the service was outstanding.
Everything was nice. Service was a little slow, and I order a side of broccoli which wasn’t cooked long enough. Waiter sent broccoli back, but never received it with my food to go. I didn’t realize it until I made it home. Call the restaurant the next day no one answered the phone
Excellent service and food
Had a great time aside from my slip and fall in front of hostess station and being picked up off floor a lil embarrassed as I had just got there... beautiful restaurant great food and wine. Will definitely be back because I do love everything about this restaurant!
My husband, son and I came to this restaurant while on our weekend getaway to Chicago on Saturday, April 7, 2018 around 7:00 p.m. We left not 100% satisfied compared to other restaurants we dined at around the area. I ordered the cod that was on special for the night. I'm on a special diet during my pregnancy and asked if I can get the roasted vegetables that were suggested with the entree without the balsamic glaze. Our server quickly said NO. I questioned why, and he was quick to explain that the vegetables were already pre-roasted with the glaze and heated up when an entree is ready to be served. I asked him to please check with the kitchen if I can get a fresh side of the roasted vegetables without the glaze, and he said they wouldn't do it. I've NEVER been to a restaurant where they couldn't make an accommodation to a side! For a pregnant woman that's on a special diet! I asked to speak to the manager and the manager was very nice, willing to see what he can do, and made sure I got what I wanted. He even checked back with me after my order was in to make sure that the kitchen is working on my request. The manager ran our dinner to our table, and checked back to see if everything was ok. The server was standoffish at this point and you could tell he didn't feel like serving us anymore, but was biting his tongue to come to our table. He forgot to bring the coke that my husband asked with dinner. He brought it while my husband was half-way through his not so tasteful ribeye. After we were done with dinner, our server who was standing by the door can clearly see we had finished our dinner, but we had to flag him down and ask for the check. I think this entire experience would have been better if we had a different server. I will not recommend this place to anyone going to Chicago. The manager was pleasant, but the server was not so much.
Had a good time. On Saturday they happened to have beef Wellington one of my favorites as a feature! Food was great, service was good, I have no complaints.
Food was very expensive for the quality. Very basic recipes. Low on flavor. Unless you get the very high dollar items everything else is no better than a chain restaurant. Our waiter was very rude once he realized we weren’t spending a high dollar amount.
Dinner with family. It was great. Service was excellent. The food was delicious, we all had steaks. Great coatings for the steaks: Horseradish, blue cheese, mushroom and parmesan cheese. They were all wonderful!! For a great steak house, their prices are really great! Great value!
The food quality was not worth the money .The rest was ok.
Nick was a fantastic server.
Good drinks, food, service and atmosphere. One of my favorite restaurants.
Took my boyfriend there as a surprise for his Birthday on 4/4. It was a WONDERFUL dinner! We sat at table 50 which gave us great view seating of the restaurant. The ambiance, the quick service, food, and most of all our server! David was AWESOME! I couldn't have asked for a better person. With his excellent quick serving skills, it made everything flow well that night. They accommodated him with a chocolate souffle cake that he wasn't expecting at the end of dinner. It was a magical night for him. Thank you Wildfire!
Fabulous dinner. Loved the Wildfire copped salad to start. We were a group of nine and orders included steaks, fillets, fish and shrimp. Everything was outstanding and the service was excellent.
Very nice restaurant, friendly staff, delicious food.... very Chicago-esque
Dinning perfection. Great atmosphere and service! The food was done to request and it did not take long at all for the food to come.
Nick the Server was fantastic!! Food was awesom!
Very bad service, food that was average at best, and didn’t even get credit for $160 in Loyalty Club points. We won’t be back.
Meh . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . it was OK.
It was very loud and crowded. They were out of the entree we wanted to order and this is the first time I have been disappointed in Wildfire. The quality that I have seen in the past was missing.
Been to Wildfire before. As always the food was great. This is the first time service was poor. We never got our water refilled, even after asking a bus boy. Waited a very long time for our waitress to come back to offer dessert or bill.
Great food, pleasant atmosphere, attentive service!
For a Sunday lunch, it was overall a good lunch. However, with the restaurant about half full, the bison burgers were were cooked well done when they were requested medium-rare and medium. The food was still very good just not as requested. As side note, the carrot cake would have been better if there had been more cake that frosting. They did make an adjustment on the bill but it would have been better with the food cooked as requested. We were glad we went to Wildfire - Chicago and would go again. These are small drawbacks from a pleasant experience.
We've been going to different Wildfire locations for years and the food is always delicious in any location. Martinis are one of the best. The food quality is very consistent. One of our favorite restaurants. We've celebrated a couple of birthdays there and we've been very satisfied with the service and food.
Have been to Wildfire a few times and find the steaks are always wonderful. The servers are very attentive. Good for family dining.
Service was slow and horrible! Wine flight was not good and even at manager was alerted about service...nothing was improved. 8 ladies excited to celebrate my BFF birthday and the evening was horrible.
Great service and food. Never fails.
Always good food at Wildfire. Great service.
We have been to Wildfire in Glenview many times with great experiences. This visit to the downtown Chicago Wildfire was disappointing. The restaurant was not busy so everything should have been ideal. The service was quite slow at every step. After one hour, we still did not have entrees. When they finally came , all were wrong. The two different size fillets were cooked incorrectly so the two guests traded steaks. The $46 porterhouse was overdone and tough. When we mentioned this to the waiter he offered to recook it but we would have to wait through other orders that were backed up “probably twenty minutes). We just said no thanks. They did give us a $7 desert, but a restaurant at this price point should be much better.
Didn't like having to wait for my table despite having a reservation but we still had a nice time and enjoyed our meal overall .
Loved this place for years. It never disappoints!
