the most tender of all steaks
The wait was not as long as expected. The service was great starting with the valet attendants, the reservationist, the waitress and bus. We were provided with everything we requested in a courteous, professional manner. We have been to Wildfire numerous times so we knew that our service this time would end in an excellent experience. We will come again.
We were very unhappy. Booked because of their gluten free options but were unable to eat most options and poor communication with staff regarding our food allergies and substitutions available. My husband ended up very sick after eating here. Will not return.
Wonderful place for Thanksgiving Dinner. Staff was very hard working on such a long day but never lost their smile.
It was a set menu for Thanksgiving. The food was average to below average. The turkey was dry and tasteless. The salmon was not any better than using my Foreman grill. I love Wildfire but this menu with these selections were terrible. Wildfire ruined our Thanksgiving meal. Charging $60 per person for cafeteria level food is dead wrong.
Thanksgiving meal was very solid. Served family style with good options well executed. Desserts were very good but a bit small. Great cocktails.
We had no idea what to expect from our Thanksgiving restaurant choice—but Wildfire was excellent!! Our server, Ivy, was delightful and the food was out of this world!! So happy we happened upon this great restaurant!
Very busy Thanksgiving dinner but our server seemed overwhelmed and we spent long stretches not knowing where she was.
Thanksgiving dinner. The food was good but all of it was delivered pretty much room temperature. The relish tray and deviled eggs were not good. Nice space and good service.
Excellent service. Freshly served food. Great surroundings.
my parents from out of town loved it! Service was excellent, pacing was great, food was DELICIOUS.
Great large group restaurant! Fun and lively but not too boisterous. Service was excellent, and the food was so filling and yet we couldn't stop eating
Overall good experience. It's Thanksgiving, so of course, thankful for this day.
Thanksgiving lunch with an out of state relative visiting Chicago for the first time. Everything was perfect …. As expected 👍🏽
The food was good service was really good the hostess stunk. She try to put us off in a corner my mother is 107 she sees a little old lady barely able to get around and she wants to walk over to a corner in the back. It look like a little racial profiling. But other than that everybody else was fantastic.
Only thing missing was the cornbread which is normally a staple of their Thanksgiving menu.
We are regular patrons of the Oakbrook Wildfire and have had the last 2 Thanksgiving meals at the Chicago location. The service was wonderful as was the atmosphere. The food was varied. Our appetizer for 4 people was 3-4 tiny carrot sticks, an equal number of broccoli florets, cucumber slices and red pepper slices with 2 tablespoons of very good spinach dip and 4 deviled egg halves that were rubbery. The onion rolls were delicious and we were offered seconds on them. The entrees were glazed salmon (very good) and turkey (not very good) with dressing that tasted like wet bread and very bland mashed potatoes. We requested gravy and it was very good. Our creamed spinach had an odd spice (maybe nutmeg) in it. The deserts we chose were cherry pie and key lime pie. Both were delicious but each piece of key lime pie was a quarter of a 3 inch circle, so each piece was about a tablespoon of pie. That was sad! What was good was good and what was not was not. This was not a $60 meal. The regular Tuesday turkey special is a much better value. I think next year we will go elsewhere. I would recommend Wildfire, but not for a holiday meal
We enjoyed a great thanksgiving lunch! Awesome service and terrific food. We appreciate the wildfire crew spending their thanksgiving providing such a wonderful experience.
Great meal. Great service!!!
I was happy with the service and the food. Especially since it was gluten free. Also it would be good to label I'd something is dairy free just in case. 😉
I’ve been going to Wildfire for my anniversary for about 7 years. It used to be great, used to love the service.. instead I walked in last night to the servers arguing and being passive aggressive with one another.. super awkward..food made me sick to my stomach too. The waiter wasn’t friendly, he barely served us and I had to chase him down because he kept forgetting to bring me my debit card. My wife was so let down, we unfortunately have to find another restaurant to celebrate our anniversary.
We usually go to the wildfire in Oakbrook so this was our first time at the Chicago location. The service was terrible.. our waiter was very nice but rung up the wrong dish for my son so he didn’t get his food until after we did and he would leave the table for 15 mins at a time without checking on us. I’ve always gotten the prime rib and last night it was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. The meat was hard to chew and the flavor was terrible. My husband got a filet and it was nothing to write home about either. Just not worth the price honestly. We likely won’t be back to this location based on the experience.
Outstanding as always. Can not be the food and service at the Wildfire!
After two years abscence I was happy to see that the quality of the meal is still very good. I recommend the Salmon an cedar wood baken.
My husband and I were in town for a little getaway. Wildfire is on of our go-to places.
I took my parents here for the first time as a nice night out and a thank you dinner, and the experience was amazing! Exactly what I wanted it to be! Our server was fantastic, the food was great as always, and we had a wonderful time!
It's not cheap, but it's always worth every dollar. We love this place
Blake our waitperson was very friendly and professional.
Our server Ivy was excellent. She was friendly, efficient and helpful. Will definitely ask for her when we return !
Great space, nice pace to our dinner. Our waiter was great, very attentive. We were taking my son for his birthday and he really enjoyed his steak, cooked exactly right.
This was a great experience! We chose to go on a Monday night, which was perfect. Not busy and very quiet. Our server was fabulous! The food was fabulous!
Nice restaurant for any occasion. We celebrated my best friends bday and food was great. Ambience was perfect. Unfortunately, we were 20 minutes late and we had to wait for another table. It was close to closing time but they got us in quickly and service never suffered.
Great food/great service...I'll be back and I'll also spread the word
This was our first time here since 2019 due to the pandemic. The service, food quality and whole experience were as good as then. We brought out of town guests and they enjoyed the meal immeasurable. While prices are higher, we understand the reasons, such as increased Covid protection and supply chain disruptions. We will be back.
Great service from my server Ben. Food Great as usual. Filet mignon was medium well and very tender.
Awesome, attentive service! Our waiter was great! Delicious food and beverages! Our party of 5 had salad, coconut shrimp, filet mignon and pumpkin pie dessert and everything was superb, just as we ordered it. One of our most favorite places to eat as everyone’s food preferences are easily met!
Love coming to Wildfire because I know that whatever I choose, it's going to be good. I also have to mention their delicious Apple Martinis and Keylime pie are two things I have to order when I visit. This was my first time ordering and and I was impressed. My steak was juicy and tender and my loaded baked potato was yummy. The atmosphere was very quiet and intimate. We had a great server as well which made the evening enjoyable
Great experience, service was EXCELLENT!!! NY Strip was delicious.
The food was amazing, servers were very nice and fun. I got a whiskey sour which was made perfectly. My girlfriend got a bees knees which was a little strong but still good. Took them a little bit to get the tables bused but aside from those few things definitely worth the money. I’d definitely go back and recommend to friends and family. The quality of the meal out, the servers Personalities, and the over all atmosphere out weights the slow busing.
