Ok service. The rest was solid
We were there for lunch.
Consistently good food. High quality. Good for a business lunch or just a few friends getting together.
Always enjoy the ambiance and great food here as I have been here quite a bit
Great service. Wonderful food as usual
Booked a table for 9 post marathon. Great drinks and variety of food. Unfortunately they had a large party and our food/orders took quite some time to receive. An order of lamb had to be sent back twice for additional cooking (came out nearly raw the 1st time). Ultimately it ended up a bit charred (not expected for a med-rare order). The medallions ordered in the group came out overcooked as well. They credited the lamb and a bottle of wine and some desserts so definitely tried to make amends (greatly appreciated). Just disappointed the experience wasn't what I had hoped it would've been for our family.
We have come here since they opened. It can be really good and sometimes rather poor. The inconsistency is the major problem.
It all depends what room your seated in. Multiple rooms, some not as ambient as the others. But, then some are more quiet than others.
Some dishes were better than others.
Our server was spit on.
My husband and I love this Wildfire location!! We were seated right away, ahead of our reservation time, and when we asked to move to a larger table (to accommodate our drinks and appetizer selections), they were happy to oblige. Our server Blake made us feel welcomed and made SEVERAL excellent suggestions for our complete meal. Our food was cooked perfectly, from apps to dessert!! Our cocktails were delicious, the wine was perfect and the hot coffee at the end combined for a perfect date night (especially since we were out celebrating our anniversary)! From start to finish, definitely time and money well spent!!
The food was very good, but the server was rude the entire meal. He acted as though he didn’t have time for us and acted like I was ridiculous for asking the price of desserts. He also checked on us once and didn’t refill beverages.
Pre-Chicago marathon dinner.
We made a last minute reservation for Friday night and we got in. The food was delicious as always and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Service was just a little off - I don't think our waiter realized we were there for a bit, so we sat for a little while before anyone even came by to take a drink order. Our food came out super quickly once we ordered it - while we were still eating our starters. By the time we finished the starters and move on, my side dish was cold. Food was ok, but nothing spectacular. All in all, I don't think it was worth the money.
Great food as always. Very friendly staff. Comped is a dessert for our anniversary.
Wildfire is our go-to restaurant for special occasions. This trip was very nice, but the crowd around us was "very enthusiast" so it was hard to hear or have a conversation. Our waitress was FABULOUS, I am sorry I do not have her name to give a special shout out.
Everything was great!
When there is a show in Chicago (McCormick), my company come here and we bring our local reps for a dinner. This has been a tradition for at least 20 years. We had a party of 10. They initially placed us in a table for 8. Very cramped. They offered to move us to a “larger” table; this consisted of four square tables. Same cramped seating, but less room for sharing appetizers.
We ordered a bottle of wine. The server, “CJ” poured most of the wine in the first two glasses, leaving little for the other guest and me (the wine taster) with very little, forcing a second bottle. Sneaky move and very contemptible in my opinion.
Also, only one “dinner specials” menu was on the table for ten people. One of our guests likes the filet medallions trio and usually orders that. When I saw that she ordered something else, I asked if she changed her mind, replying that she thought it was no longer offered. She was disappointed!
Usually, when we dine at Wildfire, it is crowded. However, we get excellent service. This time, the restaurant was maybe 50-60% full, and we felt rushed. We may have to change our yearly pilgrimage to this place next year. Thank you for ruining a tradition. I’d say “see you next year,” but I doubt it.
We love this place! First time having the turkey dinner. Delicious. Had the macadamia nut crusted halibut special again. Outstanding. Will be going a few more times for the halibut before it's gone again. What I like about Wildfire is the consistency of their meals. You know you're going to get the same taste as you did the last time you ordered. 100% recommended.
I ordered a steak, well done. I understand this is at times a challenge, however Wildfire has more than met the challenge in the past. Not so much this time, but overall still not a bad experience. Great service.
Our group of 5 came to celebrate my birthday, and my mother’s’ too!
We were greeted and seated at our reserved time and our waiter was excellent. He explained the menu and specials, and sprinkled in his brand of humor… Which was great.
When an issue arose with one of our main dishes, the waiter and manager quickly addressed it with the chef. The beef was not done to the chefs liking either, so a new dish was prepared.
They also kindly added a crust to my filet, even after I had forgotten to request it.
Birthday desserts were included, which was a sweet surprise, and we were wish well as we left.
I had not been here to Wildfire Chicago in about five years, so it was great to come back and receive the level of dining and service I remember.
Cheers and thank you!
When dining at Wildfire, I normally choose steak. This time I mixed it up a bit and went for the macadamia crusted haddock and I wasn't disappointed. The portion was generous with a perfect crust and oh so tasty. I paired my meal with the recommended Chardonnay and have to say whoever came up with the pairing definitely knows their stuff. My wife and I split a blackberry crème brulee which was fantastic; however, my wife would not allow me to bring one home!
Wonderful meal - great server! Pre-theater dinner and we had many to choose for, especially close to the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. We have enjoyed Wildfire in Oak Brook and knew our meal would be memorable - Thank you!
The last time I was in Chicago was about 20 years ago and I was introduced to Wildfire. During the week I was there, I went back two more times. In the years since being there, I've recommended the place to friends and each of them has loved it.
My wife and I were in Chicago again recently and I was excited to take her there since I had such a good experience many years ago. The experience, food and atmosphere did not disappoint! The steak is incredible, the atmosphere very warm and friendly and the service superb.
Try this place, you really will love it!
We loved the food. Zared made the experience wonderful for our daughter’s birthday. We will be back.
we go to Wildfire in glenview more often than in the city. just a few little snafus with experience this time. took a while for bread to be delivered to the table. my daughters special gluten free roll came out before the regular bread. we ordered a bottle of wine and it took quite a while to finally arrive. we ordered the chopped salad for the table and the salad came out without the chicken on it. the waiter noticed right away so they had to bring chicken to the table for the salad. my husband and I split a steak and they didn't split it in the kitchen onto separate plates. so they had to bring back to kitchen and return to us. they did give us some lovely birthday treats though.
Excellent food and service. Beware: large portions.
This was the first time the waiter said “welcome to Wildfire, a 1940’s steakhouse.” I had just finished describing it to my date as a “1940’s supper club.” Loved the whole evening and the fact we could still sit and talk til 11:30 even tho the closing time is 10pm.
Food and atmosphere are outstanding. Our waiter seemed a little awkward. He also was a little insensitive to my date’s allergy. Overall the experience was great. Would come back without hesitation!
The server was friendly but not much help with questions about different dishes, kept saying they
were all okay and referred to our drinks as "breakfast of champions" . Out entrees came almost right
on top of our salad so they had to take back and keep warm. Food was good but just overall experience
was so so. Kind of surprised been to other Wildfire locations before and enjoyed and in general enjoy
Lettuce Entertain you restaurants and enjoy.
Wildfire used to be an outstanding restaurant. The meal we had Saturday night (9-28) was fair at best, especially the most expensive Salmon dish which was overcooked with little in the way of a side to complement it. I also expected double points (scratch off) for what I paid for the meal, minus $15 which represented last year's birthday gift. Instead, nothing was recorded on a bill of $93.94 (after $15 gift reduction, and plus a tip of $21.06 that I added, bringing bill to $115). I have great respect for LettuceEntertainYou, but Wildfire failed to deliver. Please call Dennis Shere at 630-947-3841.
I was really excited to go and try the martini flight and the food. I have had friends that been here and love it.....well maybe I got the wrong food because my filet mignon was horrible!!!! I asked for it medium well it came and it had a piece of bread underneath it(dont know why but it was soggy and weird) and the steak jus tasted like liver 🤢🤢🤢. The crabcakes was good then they showed up to the table with some cornbread that was soooooo delicious! The cornbread, crabcakes and martini was the only reason I wasn't completely upset. I wouldnt return but I can say I did try it
I selected Wildfire to celebrate my 40th Birthday dinner with family and friends. The service, the food, drinks and atmosphere was wonderful. Myself and my guests were all satisfied from beginning to end.
Great great place with great great food!! Love this place!!!
We have enjoyed our experiences many times at this location.
This time, the server was not very attentive
Subpar food at best. Skip this and go anywhere else
Food was outstanding. It was a little noisy, but the service and ambience was great.
Wildfire is my favorite restaurant. I took my Mother and Uncle there for their birthday. Good and drinks are always delicious.
