Wilderness Ridge Ratings and Reviews
What a wonderful dining experience. Great atmosphere, setting and ambience. Cocktails were excellent and the food was superb!!!!!
Steaks were cooked to perfection as were the scallops. Compliments to Chef Eric and sous chefs for their culinary skills. Enjoyed chef's visit to our table for feedback.
Entire evening was a delight.
We had out of the country guest, two Doctors from India. They were duly impressed with the building and we related the story as best we could remember. It used to be on the back of your menu. Perhaps do that again. The Sunday buffet brunch also impressed them with the wide selection and presentation. A sister is coming from India in mid-August and they plan on bringing her to Wilderness Ridge. WE are from Omaha which is where they are staying.
Great atmosphere with a very friendly staff that accommodates to your needs. Very informative about the menu and all selections. Perfect atmosphere to visit and dine. The bat has a lot of room with very comfortable seating. Background music is always excellent.
Look forward to dining there again.
Great facility at Wilderness Ridge. Made us feel like we were at our favorite mountain lodge in Colorado. Food was very good with nice variety of interesting touches. I had the ravioli, my husband enjoyed the scallops. Next time we hope the weather is nice so we can sit on the deck.
The ambiance is lovely but the food is never consistently good.
Two of us had filets and broccollini and salads and all was very good....
My husband tried the scallops and they were horrible and cold....with small hard bits of meat or something in them.
The chef needs to not try so hard to be gourmet...it is better to make good solid consistent recipes than to try too hard and fail.
We had dinner with a couple from out of state who have traveled quite a bit and have dined in some very nice places. They loved the atmosphere and the dinner was very good. I am shocked that your above question about what I would recommend your restaurant for lists many reasons for a recommendation non of which addresses the superb steaks and great salmon that we had the pleasure of experiencing. I understand that you have clients that may have special needs when it comes to their diet but how do you not have a box to recommend a fabulous surf and turf experience of fine dining.
If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would It was such a MAJOR disappointment and for the amount of the check I had hoped for a better experience
Service was lacking and food took such a long time to come to the table we just wanted to eat and leave as soon as we could get out of there.
We noticed management was visiting several tables to apologize for one reason or another so there were obviously problems going on.
I made a reservation online after learning about the Cinco De Mayo celebration that Wilderness Ridge would be having. It boasted live entertainment by Josh Hoyer and drink/taco specials. We had reservations for 6:30 pm...the entertainment to start at 7:30 pm. At 7:30 we saw NO ENTERTAINMENT!! Curious, we asked our server and his reply was "oh he's playing outside". Well, NO WHERE in the email I received did it state entertainment would be outside. We were not happy at that point, the tacos we ordered were mediocre at best and then we waited a minimum of 25 minutes for our ticket. Saw the manager out to many tables doing damage control. For the price you're paying, service should NOT be an issue. Not sure if and when I'll go back. Highly dissatisfied!
The restaurant is very loud, so with a large table, it's incredibly hard to have a conversation. The staff is courteous, but wait times for food were atrocious. That isn't their fault, perhaps, but it can be really frustrating! Once the food came, it was just okay. People who got a burger did not enjoy them. People who got steak enjoyed them. The ambience was nice, albeit pretty chilly.
We have always enjoyed our dining experience at Wilderness Ridge and particularly the atmosphere. The food choices on this new menu are great. Our server did an excellent job interacting with our toddler and offered to put her order in early so that she wouldn't be too hungry waiting on the rest of us. However, the chicken strips from the children's menu were heavily coated for frying--not a very healthy option. We three adults enjoyed a bottle of wine and the spinach-artichoke dip with pita points. It was excellent. We ordered three different entrees: The 14 oz. prime rib was cooked to the medium rare request, but the meat was tougher than it had been in past visits. Plus there was a lot of fat. My daughter had the scallops and I ordered the salmon. They were very nicely presented, as usual, but this time we both thought there was too much salt used. Thus, we didn't enjoy them as much. This may just have been an off night for we three, but we will definitely keep returning.
We did not have a waiter, manager took our drink order and sort of told us about the Easter Brunch. Food selections was not all that tasty and mostly disappointing.. Had to wait for prime rib from the kitchen, but the carving chef did apologize for the wait. Prime rib was under cooked and not what we expected. Kids selection was very limited... Had to ask for our check, no one really waited on us. Very unhappy with our overall experience on this special day..
