We have been to the Lodge on numerous occasions. It seemed the number of menu selections for brunch were down with nothing really unique and different as we enjoyed in the past. Our OpenTable reservation worked perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed being close to the fireplace a (as requested) on a chilly Sunday morning.
Love this place. The building itself is beautiful inside and out and the food is delicious. Love the unique options they have available on the menu. Also brunch is amazing.
Our table was ready for us upon our arrival. Being situated near the fireplace was a real bonus on a chilly day. Everyone was satisfied with their food choice except for one who mistakingly ordered a kale salad. The server offered to replace it, but my friend said not to bother. Shortly thereafter a different, kaleless salad was delivered. Very nice! We were able to visit for over two hours which was also nice. I highly recommend Wilderness Ridge for a luncheon get together.
Enjoyed everything about our visit. Great food, amazing service, and beautiful decor. Loved it! Thank you!
Really enjoyed the environment. Food was delivered hot and cooked to perfection. Bread was amazing.
Love the setting, love the building, the service is almost always very good but when it comes to the food...
It should be better than what it is, especially given the prices. In our recent stop; and we go at least twice a year, the food was probably, if being charitable, a step above average. No it wasn't. I just like the setting, the ambiance, the damn BUILDING so much that I guess I'm willing to pay for that.
The steak was average, the risotto terrible, and let me see, I really don't want to not have something that...the cinnamon butter for the bread. THAT was really good.
But go there if you like log cabins, and a roaring fireplace and don't find taxidermy off-putting. You'll enjoy that because nowhere else in Lincoln delivers that kind of setting.
Just save some cash and order appetizers and sit in the bar. It just should be better.
Wait staff attentive. Food fabulous.
Our 6:45 reservation was not honored, we were told they were running behind and it would be 20-30 minutes. So we elected to sit in the bar area. It took 45 minutes from when we finished our salads before our meals arrived. Our server apologized three time to us but did offer any compensation for the delay. My wife's dish had Gnocchi which was over cooked and stuck together. My meal came with a baked potato which was about 1/2 the size of those I saw other tables were getting and it looked like it was reheated without all the topping I'd asked for. After we had desert it took our server 20 minutes to bring us our bill. We will never go to Wilderness Ridge again and be sure we will tell all our friend and family of the experience. Granted it was Valentines Day but over two hours for a sub par meal at $140 is unacceptable.
Went here for Valentines dinner with my fiancée. Really nice ambience, good food, and great service. We really enjoyed our three course meal. The steaks were tender and juicy! Definitely recommend if you live in the Lincoln area.
We had an enjoyable evening. Good wine, good food, shared with good friends.
Food was delivered more cold than hot. Spinach artichoke dip was less than average. Lacked flavor. The walleye was a huge disappointment as it looked more like an unappetizing fish soup. Of the three of us, we had salmon, walleye and the small filet. Walleye was horrid, steak was so so, the salmon was quite good. This was our first time there and we expected much more for the over $106.00 tab (without drinks). We can find a much more satisfying meal for much less in Lincoln.
Disappointd in a couple of entrees. They were Tasteless and not as was presented on the menu. The service was great!
Great atmosphere and great food. Worth the price if you don't want a lot of noise. We were able to make reservations so we didn't have to wait for a table, also a huge bonus.
We had brunch on Christmas Eve. It was fine. Food was average. Desserts less than average. The service was ok. We go to Wilderness Ridge because of the atmosphere.....not the food.
Birthday Dinner with Adult friends; cold night; roaring fire; excellent beef and salmon. Bon appetit !! Rachel = 5 star server.
Everything about Wilderness Ridge was exceptional except for the food. I had the French Dip and the quality of beef combined with the old bread made my meal less than optimal. My wife had a Hamburger, and the burger had little taste and the bread also was old and crumbly. I would have thought for such a unique and welcoming setting that the food would have been above fast food quality. The setting was outstanding, and our server was unbelievably hospitable and courteous
Amazing food and atmosphere!
We had our team Christmas party/appetizers and drinks and also celebrated two birthdays. Wilderness Lodge is decorated so beautifully for the holidays. Food was fantastic (all appetizers) and good service!
We enjoyed a lovely dinner, made even nicer by the glow and warmth of the large fireplace. The food, service, and ambience are the finest in Lincoln.
We always try to enjoy Wilderness Ridge around the Holidays. Perfect setting.
Fantastic, as always!
Dinner with our daughter in law. Great evening!
Excellent food and atmosphere. Once the dinner rush began serving slowed down. I do recommend dining here as the food and ambiance is well worth your time.
Very good food with exceptional service. It's got a nice lodge theme to it and is great for special occasions
Our grandchildren enjoyed the special Halloween Brunch! The food was delicious and the names for the different options were very creative and kept with the Halloween theme!
Half-price appetizers during happy hour great value and delicious! Outdoor dining a real treat with great golf course views.
The food was unique and delicious! The whipped feta with the date chips was fantastic.
We had an exceptional time at Wilderness Ridge. The food was excellent, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was perfect. Will definitely be returning!
Outdoor dining a fav of ours - view of course and ponds spectacular. New menu provides new dining opportunities. Highly recommend!
We went for my Dad's 93rd birthday celebration. He's using a electric cart now, access was easy. Staff was very attentive and compassionate.
Beautiful outdoor seating scenery, quiet atmosphere, excellent service and delicious food
What a wonderful dining experience. Great atmosphere, setting and ambience. Cocktails were excellent and the food was superb!!!!!
Steaks were cooked to perfection as were the scallops. Compliments to Chef Eric and sous chefs for their culinary skills. Enjoyed chef's visit to our table for feedback.
Entire evening was a delight.
Great selection on the menu. Had pork that was excellent. My spouse had a burger and fries that was large enough portonsbfor two meals. The dining continues to improve at Wilderness congrats!
Always enjoy dining outside when weather permits. Food and service very good, prices moderate.
Service was excellent. My wife's salmon was very tasty and cooked perfectly. My ribeye was flavorful but very tough and disappointing for the price point. I expected much better.
My wife and I are recent Wilderness Ridge Dining Club Members, and have enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service very much. We look forward to frequent visits to Happy Hour at the Bar and Grill, as well as the wonderful Restaurant.
Excellent service - very attentive yet unobtrusive. Asked for seating away from others for business conversation and had a lovely table in the bar area close to the windows. Good food, reasonably priced. A very good experience overall.
Very nice servers, nice outdoor patio to eat in the evening.
It was perfect weather for dining on the deck! Food was excellent and our server, Trace, was personable and attentive. Live music outside was a bonus!
We had out of the country guest, two Doctors from India. They were duly impressed with the building and we related the story as best we could remember. It used to be on the back of your menu. Perhaps do that again. The Sunday buffet brunch also impressed them with the wide selection and presentation. A sister is coming from India in mid-August and they plan on bringing her to Wilderness Ridge. WE are from Omaha which is where they are staying.
