Lovely fireplace not much noise relaxing atmosphere enjoyed the waiter so we had a great night and thank you for the birthday cake
Harry Potter Brunch was magical.
Boring! Not bad, but boring. The food was uninspired. The service was mediocre. The price was high. Not worth it.
There was live music which we really enjoyed. The staff/service was outstanding. It was a nice relaxing evening with great food.
Food was unique and outstanding. The wait-staff was attentive and accommodating. This was our first trip to Wilderness Lodge and we will definitely find a reason to go back.
Poor quality steak, from a state with a history of GREAT beef. They were unable to serve prime rib medium rare. The prime rib served never came with horseradish sauce! The New York strip was thin and chewy. Recommend Sizzler!
We hadn't patronized Wilderness Ridge for several years because of a reputation for poor vegetarian choices beyond salads and sides. Now we are pleasantly surprised to see several delicious meatless items like the wild mushroom ravioli, the mac and smoked cheddar skillet (wonderful!) grilled portabella and a black bean burger. The ambience is nice for a large, open dining room, the service was very good and the bar is well stocked. The only thing preventing a solid 5 star rating here is the prices (the check for my wife and me came quickly to $100 with a 20% tip) but it is one of the finest places in town to spend a special night out.
Poor service, high price, and the food was average at best. Messed up my order and charged me for item I didn't get.
Delicious food, fantastic service, warm and comfy ambiance.
Friday evening on back deck with drinks and food no better in Lincoln
Celebrating our anniversary as well as a birthday!! Thank you Wilderness Ridge for making it special!!
Food was fantastic as was our waiter. It was very warm in the restaurant making it uncomfortable.
Celebrated our anniversary at WR. Overall, the food was well thought out and menu deep enough. The ambiance is what it is - the lodge is clean which is all that really matters. One of our steaks was a little over cooked and some vegetables more dry than our liking, but those are the negatives. The wine menu is extensive (the bartender quickly came over to answer questions) and our dessert (mousse) was delicious. Overall, it was a very nice experience. Probably better for family meals rather than anniversary but for local fare, it met expectations.
Great time for everyone
We sat at a table in the bar for lunch, and the bartender was our server. Absolute best service we have ever had. It was perfect!
Delicious sandwiches were served on the deck overlooking the golf course. Glasses of wine were the perfect pairing. Started off with a refreshing gin and tonic served over ice. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing, drinking, and eating this delightful meal after our golf game.
Outstanding food and service!
A wonderful experience!
We had dinner here to celebrate a special occasion. Its a great space with great ambiance. They weren’t that busy and it took a while to get the food out after we ordered. Biggest downer was my meal was not hot.
Being from Colorado, the ambiance was PERFECT! Food was delicious, and that you had Kalibur, was a BONUS ( a rare find in most restaurants)!
Beautiful evening on the patio with live music, which was fantastic. Our meal and drinks were terrific! I had the honey glazed salmon and my husband had the ribs-delicious. The chocolate torte was the cherry onto to a perfect evening.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration with family and friends!
The wait staff were very kind and available. Beautifully rustic venue right here in Nebraska!
We were celebrating a birthday on a perfect spring evening. Our meals were fine but nothing was stellar. The service was quite poor considering how few people were there. We will not be returning any time soon as there are so many other wonderful places to go in Lincoln.
It was great, just wish they had booths, chairs were uncomfortable, and noise level was a little high
Creative & delicious menu. Wait staff very attentive. Great atmosphere for kids & adults!
We were celebrating a friends retirement and sat outside for drinks and appetizers.
I took my mom to a Mother's Day lunch, as this is one of her favorite places.
I wish I could give 5 stars because this venue is so beautiful, and the ambiance is great. Unfortunately, the sweet potatoe fries we ordered never came, and dessert was not even offered, which we would have ordered if it had been. The check was simply brought to us and we weren't asked about dessert.
These mistakes are becoming, unfortunately, consistent with this restaurant. Over the past year these types of errors (missing food, less than attentive service) have become consistent. My hope in writing this review is that these correctable issue will be addressed and this establishment can be a gem in Lincoln once again.
Beautiful setting and food was very good. The service was just ok.
Always a treat to step into the restaurant and club house. We dined on a Wednesday so the dining room was very quiet although the deck and bar seemed quite busy. Our waiter was very courteous and pleasant. Since our last visit the food has improved but still rather average- especially at the price we paid.
It took quite a while to get our bill which was not a major problem but wonder how that equates when the dining room is busy.
Look forward to improvemsnt on our next visit.
Our service was great and our server was amazing! We enjoyed the atmosphere and making a reservation was extremely convenient.
Food was excellent, food, decor, service, love this place!
Good food, nice atmosphere.
Service was very slow with little checking in or explanation. Had to stop server and ask to give order. Did not bring bread after first offer. Did bring bread after second offer, but was very small serving for a table of 6. Time between dropping check and coming back for card was long. Never brought requested bag.
The service was good, but the bread was dry and my husband’s spaghetti was awful. My steak was cooked right, but the meat quality could have been better and my asparagus was very over cooked. We expect better when paying 100$ for a meal.
First visit. Absolutely wonderful. Can't wait to revisit in the near future.
It has been almost 10 years since our last visit and not great experience with this restaurant. While food was better than last time , the experience was not great. The only dish I came for was out for the evening ( although it was not a busy night , or late evening). The server seemed very inexperienced, but she tried hard to help us. Overpriced, and seems outdated for my taste. The appetizer selection looks pretty good though.
Was disappointed in the food, our friend had scallops and her scallops had too much salt. My wife and two other friend had prime ribs, and their ague sauce was way salty, like it came straight out of a bottle. Cocktail was good.
Thank you for bringing your experience to our attention. I apologize your food was not up to our standards of excellence. We will share your feedback with the chef and make the necessary improvements. We appreciate you taking the time to write a review and hope we get the chance to serve you again, soon.
Our waitress was having a bad night, but otherwise a fabulous time. Love the atmosphere most of all. Sometimes the Chef needs to learn to edit himself. My husband said the sauce around the sea bass tasted like wood soap. Too much is not always a good thing.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. It is disappointing that we fell short on service during your visit. We strive to provide the best experience possible for each and every diner. We apologize for the lack of attention during your visit and will continue to train our service staff, so we can uphold our standards of excellence for future visits.
My favorite Lincoln location for everyday or special occasion.
Hopefully this visit was an exception as this evening’s dining experience was disappointing. New Years Eve should be special. I had made reservations two weeks prior, yet when we arrived (on time), there was no greeting, smile, or welcome from the hostess. Then rather than the restaurant, we were taken to the bar. Even that location would have been fine, but from that point forward, it seemed we were an afterthought regarding service.
Bread was brought to the table but no plates, even though the waitress said she’d bring them, they never came and we couldn’t catch anyone’s attention to ask.
The wine was a positive. We had ordered a bottle to accompany our meal and it came promptly, plus the wine steward was very personable, informative and friendly. The wine selection was excellent. This was definitely five star.
I had ordered the lobster bisque, which would have been good, but it was very cool when brought to the table and, again, we could not catch the attention of our waitress to see if it could be warmed.
After the lobster bisque was brought to the table, it took an hour and a half before we received our entrees (prime rib). During this interlude, we received no information or attention regarding the status of our order, nor was there any inquiry regarding needs we might have.
When the food was brought, flavor was good, but entire plate was cool.
Wilderness Ridge is a gorgeous restaurant, we could hear some wonderful live music, and had anticipated a lovely evening, however the overall experience ended up being rather sad.
New Years- they likely had reservations for too many individuals- it took us over an hour and a half to receive our appetizers; never asked about another glass of wine and the typically tasty meal was dried and lack luster.
