We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food was wonderful! We had a great time and will be back.
Brunch buffet is unrivaled in Lincoln
Food was excellent. We had a nice table by the fireplace in the main dining room, and it was a good thing. People kept streaming in and out from the patio to smoke cigars and unfortunately the wind direction was such that we got a cold blast every time the door opened which was often. We had just sat outside at the coldest football game in 25 years and didn’t need a cool down. I registered a mild complaint to our server who apologized but then informed me it was the manager’s family that was going in and out and there wasn’t anything she could do. We put our coats on and finished our meal. Then I noticed we were charged full for our Happy Hour specials. She fixed that for an appetizer but not for the drinks. I didn’t want to have her go back again, so I just paid. Finally, as we were walking out the door I saw a sign on a table in the large entryway that said show your game ticket and receive 20 percent off your food. By our attire it was obvious that we had been to the football game and it would have been nice for the server to have mentioned that special. My error for missing the sign. We’ve eaten there many times and this was our first disappointment. As I said, the food was excellent. The savings from Happy Hour and the 20 percent off would have been around $15.
Harry Potter Themed Brunch was fabulous!
The themed food, staff in costumes, and the decorations was spot on! We even had butter beer and chocolate frogs! Loved it, we’ll Definitely be back! Harry was cute!

It was a great experience with wonderful food and staff.
They harry Potter brunch was amazing. The decorations were fantastic. Our kids and grandkids had so much fun finding all the names for the food and all of the different hairy Potter references throughout the dining room. All the different ways the theme was incorporated into the decorations and the food was truly impressive. The food was some of the best we’ve ever had at one of your brunches. We look forward to more themed branches in the future.
The woman at the hostess stand that first greeted us was horrible! She had attitude and was NOT friendly at all. She showed us our table and just pointed to it and walked away. She then placed a Happy Birthday card down on the table and just slammed it down and walked away! I immediately complained to the manager and he was very nice about the Situation. Our waitress was great and the service was good but the woman at the front hostess stand needs to be educated about customer service skills and how to present much friendlier to customers when they first walk in to the restaurant!
As always, great food, great service, and lovely ambiance!
Server was slow at times, despite not being very busy. Make sure you make a reservation. Steak was overcooked, but was remade very quickly. Wide variety of food options.
Took 45 minutes to receive our food, the dining room was not full. The French onion soup tasted like it had been made with the wrong cooking liquor and was inedible. The steak ordered was cooked incorrectly. The sticker shock on such mediocre food and service means we will not be returning. Too bad we had delightful experiences here years ago.
The lovely presentation and menu variety of their Sunday Brunch buffet is excellent but the food itself isn’t exactly memorable. In a nutshell, good but not great food (except the waffles, they were above average) in a beautiful & cozy restaurant with great views.
A dinner salad should have been included with supper. Very hard to hear conversation, tables too large.
The facility, decor and ambiance are amazing! But, there was a lack of attention when checking in and the waiter provided incorrect information about the food.
Great, unique ambiance. Lots of choices for brunch, and great waffles! It's a serve yourself buffet, but the staff still takes care of you.
The food and service was very good! We ate our lunch outside on the back patio and the ambiance was outstanding!
We enjoyed the evening, but the food was not up to quality standards. The ribeye had an extreme amount of gristle in it so not the best steak I have had in Lincoln. It was way under cooked so it had to go back to the kitchen, so of course that makes your other food items cold by the time the meat returns to the table. The server came to the table to pick up our wine glasses and didn't even ask if we wanted more, so we had to flag down the waiter to ask.
Service was good. Fiancé had Salmon and some sort of vegetable mound. Salmon was real fishy tasting-not good. Vegetable smelled really bad tasted horrible. Long wait for food with guys at grill seemed to be goofing around and not getting food prepared. Hardly anyone there but had to wait 25 minutes for food. Mine was bacon hamburger and was good!
Always a great place for special occasions, food is always changing and delicious! The waitstaff always well trained, knowledgeable and attentive. Trace was our wait on this visit and he stood up to the kind of service I've always had and now expect.
The place was beautiful but the food was overpriced and incredibly bland. I asked for a medium rare burger and i recieved a very well done burger. My date recieved a ravioli that was swimming in olive oil when it shouldn't have been. Its your typical golf club food, overpriced with lackluster flavor.
Food was absolutely awful! Only the fruit and things they didn't prepare were palatable! VERY disappointed! My son and daughter in law both waited tables in college and said they would be embarrassed serving this food.
Fantastic like always !! We can't wait to come back to taste the amazing food. !!
The ambiance was great as well as the food. Its just that the deinks we ordered were a little bit sweeter. :) overall its very good
New menu that's been in place for 2 weeks was to blame for dark meat chicken being served instead of white meat which was specifically asked for. Short ribs couldn't be cut with even a steak knife they were so tough. Cheesecake was very sour and had a strange texture and flavor. Service was lacking and not because they were busy. Manager was nice. We were not the only table with issues. At least 4 other tables around us had issues and items were taken off their check. Might go back for happy hour apps but never again for a meal. I've mentioned this to several people who have told me their similar stories. Not sure how they stay in business.
We were welcomed upon entering the restaurant by a cheery hostess. We were also asked where we’d prefer to sit in the dining room. That was a bonus. Our server was very professional and attentive. She provide drinks and left adequate time to mull over our menus. The buffalo hanger was exceptional. I recommend trying it cooked medium well!
We have been to the Lodge on numerous occasions. It seemed the number of menu selections for brunch were down with nothing really unique and different as we enjoyed in the past. Our OpenTable reservation worked perfectly and we thoroughly enjoyed being close to the fireplace a (as requested) on a chilly Sunday morning.
Love this place. The building itself is beautiful inside and out and the food is delicious. Love the unique options they have available on the menu. Also brunch is amazing.
Our table was ready for us upon our arrival. Being situated near the fireplace was a real bonus on a chilly day. Everyone was satisfied with their food choice except for one who mistakingly ordered a kale salad. The server offered to replace it, but my friend said not to bother. Shortly thereafter a different, kaleless salad was delivered. Very nice! We were able to visit for over two hours which was also nice. I highly recommend Wilderness Ridge for a luncheon get together.
Enjoyed everything about our visit. Great food, amazing service, and beautiful decor. Loved it! Thank you!
Really enjoyed the environment. Food was delivered hot and cooked to perfection. Bread was amazing.
Love the setting, love the building, the service is almost always very good but when it comes to the food...
It should be better than what it is, especially given the prices. In our recent stop; and we go at least twice a year, the food was probably, if being charitable, a step above average. No it wasn't. I just like the setting, the ambiance, the damn BUILDING so much that I guess I'm willing to pay for that.
The steak was average, the risotto terrible, and let me see, I really don't want to not have something that...the cinnamon butter for the bread. THAT was really good.
But go there if you like log cabins, and a roaring fireplace and don't find taxidermy off-putting. You'll enjoy that because nowhere else in Lincoln delivers that kind of setting.
Just save some cash and order appetizers and sit in the bar. It just should be better.
Wait staff attentive. Food fabulous.
Our 6:45 reservation was not honored, we were told they were running behind and it would be 20-30 minutes. So we elected to sit in the bar area. It took 45 minutes from when we finished our salads before our meals arrived. Our server apologized three time to us but did offer any compensation for the delay. My wife's dish had Gnocchi which was over cooked and stuck together. My meal came with a baked potato which was about 1/2 the size of those I saw other tables were getting and it looked like it was reheated without all the topping I'd asked for. After we had desert it took our server 20 minutes to bring us our bill. We will never go to Wilderness Ridge again and be sure we will tell all our friend and family of the experience. Granted it was Valentines Day but over two hours for a sub par meal at $140 is unacceptable.
Went here for Valentines dinner with my fiancée. Really nice ambience, good food, and great service. We really enjoyed our three course meal. The steaks were tender and juicy! Definitely recommend if you live in the Lincoln area.
We had an enjoyable evening. Good wine, good food, shared with good friends.
Food was delivered more cold than hot. Spinach artichoke dip was less than average. Lacked flavor. The walleye was a huge disappointment as it looked more like an unappetizing fish soup. Of the three of us, we had salmon, walleye and the small filet. Walleye was horrid, steak was so so, the salmon was quite good. This was our first time there and we expected much more for the over $106.00 tab (without drinks). We can find a much more satisfying meal for much less in Lincoln.
Disappointd in a couple of entrees. They were Tasteless and not as was presented on the menu. The service was great!
Great atmosphere and great food. Worth the price if you don't want a lot of noise. We were able to make reservations so we didn't have to wait for a table, also a huge bonus.
We had brunch on Christmas Eve. It was fine. Food was average. Desserts less than average. The service was ok. We go to Wilderness Ridge because of the atmosphere.....not the food.
Birthday Dinner with Adult friends; cold night; roaring fire; excellent beef and salmon. Bon appetit !! Rachel = 5 star server.
