About

Wilde Rover is a classic Irish pub and restaurant. This neighborhood bar was established in 2006 on the principles of food food, cold drinks, great music and a welcoming atmosphere. Like most pubs, everything about Wilde Rover is designed to facilitate great conversation among friends, so most tables seat at least four people, and many can fit eight or more. This makes Wilde Rover an ideal place for going out for drinks or a casual dinner with friends.

The menu is primarily made up of soups, salads, burgers and sandwiches, all things that can be easily eaten with a cold beer in hand. Signature items include a pub burger, lamb burger, turkey dipper sandwich and a drunken pulled pork sandwich made with beer braised pork that's hand pulled and tossed with a house Jameson Irish whiskey BBQ sauce then topped off with kale slaw.

We had to grab the attention of the waiter for nearly everything. Food was delicious. Ordered ginger ale that never came and finally waiter offered non-alcoholic ginger beer. The beer was described as strong in flavor by the waiter and indeed it was too strong for my brother but the waiter never checked back. The beer was not consumed but remained on the check. I paid the check and did not want to upset my brother so I did not say anything at the time.

Came here for Halloween. The food and service was great. The Pop Offs were amazing! The only thing I would recommend is clearing some of the tables from the dance floor while the band was playing. There is not enough room for everyone to dance.

A little upset that I made a reservation for 7 and received a high table that seated 6 next to the pool table. We had guests from our of town that we were trying to show around Kirkland and one of us had to stand the whole time and eat our meal standing. Also, I called in advance to find out if there was a cutoff time for minors. I was told by the woman in the phone that if we arrived before 8pm, the minors could stay until 10pm. Then, at 9pm, we were told by our server that the children had to leave. I explained that I was told on the phone earlier in the day that 10 was the time, the server then said, "well, she was mistaken." Great food, but not great service by the staff.

Awesome atmosphere with live music, authentic Irish fare and decor, awesome selection of whiskeys and various tasting flights, laid back vibe, servers range from personable to a tad icy at first, food can be a long wait but so worth the wait as this is not just simple pub grub, (it's top-notch flavor-bombing entrees and apps), and the seemingly unlimited menu of 80-proof not-your-average liquors along with locals and live music make this place a staple for friends and family - everyone we've treated here ALWAYS want to return time and again

Food Pretty good. Service great. Seated immediately 6:30 on a Friday night. Halibut and chips was slightly overcooked with some areas of dark brown on the crust but overall good

We were from out of town visiting Kirkland for a 60th birthday. Our food was good and servings generous... you may want to come early if you want to ensure availability of some menu offerings. We came for food and dancing... and the band that night did not disappoint! A fun local hotspot.

The security person Scott was ordered by the manager to discharge my guest from the restaurant because she "looked" like someone else. This was careless at best and very reckless at worst and a cas e of mistaken identity.

I realize it was the Fourth of july but they weren't terrifically busy when we were there and the service was so inconsistent. Food was ok, not remarkable for sure. Upside was the outdoor patio area.

My husband was taken here with co-workers, but we've made it a date night destination for lunch or dinner several times. We love the healthy salads and the Wilde Rover burger is gorgeous. This past weekend we enjoyed the most perfect evening weather on the patio and enjoyed the view of the waterfront. Great place, delicious food!

One of the best Bangers and Mash meals I have ever had. Even better than Kells. The sausage was grilled to perfection. Service was fast and efficient. I would go there again even though I live 60 miles away.

Wilde Rover is our family's 'go to' gathering restaurant; the food is wonderful and seems to have something delicious for everyone's palate. The service is always good and the atmosphere makes this restaurant perfect whether we are with the entire family or it's date night for two. Love this place!

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Our server Lindsay was an absolute pro. We went there for my dad's 71st birthday. His actual birth date is St. Patricks day. A good time had by all.

I was completely disappointed with Wilde Rover Irish Pub & Restaurant. My wife and I decided to have a casual Valentine's dinner and opted for the Rover for a little Irish culture. The location is fantastic and the pub looks great from the outside. Inside, two things become immediately apparent. With 80's classic rock playing it's not particularly an Irish environment, and with a rock cover band coming in at 8:00, it's not going to be. The food was...eh at best for any restaurant and particularly disappointing from an Irish perspective. The Shepherd's Pie was clearly came out of a can and the soda bread was a poor shadow of what it should have been and came out of a Sysco truck in a loaf. The service was slow and poor; even drinks took forever and weren't interesting in any way. Overall, the bar might be OK for a night out in Kirkland but if you're looking for a touch of the Irish, look elsewhere.

After reading some of the older reviews my wife and I were a bit hesitant to try Wilde Rover. It turned out to be a great choice for a fun laid-back casual dinner. The atmosphere was cool (its a pub…so what else would you expect) and the food was great. The only downside to our experience was a very long wait between finishing our salad and receiving our dinner entree. We will be going back.

We booked it for our anniversary because of its pub like atmosphere and celtic - gaelic singer. The service was friendly and fun. The crisps and Irish Cheese / carmalized onion dip are do die for. The lamb dishes we had were authentic and comforting. I enjoyed the 4 by 5oz beer sampler while my wife enjoyed an Old Fashioned in memory of her folks favorite drink. I'd like to come back some time with a designated driver and try some of the Irish Whiskeys. -- And more crisps and dip :)

I went to Wilde Rover with a small group, sampled the cheese and fruit appetizer, and listened to Jeffrey Castle in mid December. That was fun and the waiter was pleasant. About a week later I went and had dinner with a friend. My burger was delicious. Great pub!

The food here is genuinely Irish & tasty; atmosphere the same and very pleasant. The service is great except during high-crowd times, when sometimes the kitchen staff forgets an order, as happened with us. They comped us the forgotten order and rushed our food service since we had to catch a small-boat cruise leaving shortly. To our delight, they also carry some good hard ciders in addition to other libations. Have eaten here numerous times and always a good experience. I will come back here.

This is a BAR, afterall, but on this Monday night more European pub-like than American pick-up (i.e. friendly, neighborhood feel). We came to hear the amazing Geoffrey Castle & his band. No cover charge! We liked it so much that we ended up putting a big tip in his bucket. :) We were happily surprised at the quality of food at Wilde Rover. My lamb stew was delicious and the cheese board plentiful (could have used a bit more fruit). Will definitely be back, often!

I spent 2 weeks in Ireland recently and don't recall loving the food as much as I loved the Irish meal I had at Wilde Rover. All 4 members of my dinner party left very impressed. Our waiter wasn't very interested in answering our questions about the menu as we tried to choose between so many delicious options, luckily, it seems like we couldn't go wrong with any choice! I had the salmon with Kale Chips and WILL go back for that very same entree again soon!

Great place to just relax and enjoy the game or have a nice bit to eat. Our server was wonderful and she took good care of us. The food was good and the prices are good. We did not come to watch the game, but we ended up staying and enjoyed the crowd that came in.

We met our friends at Wilde Rover because we had been Irish pub crawling overseas for a number of years! We had a fabulous waitress, everyone loved the tasty Irish food (lamb shank, lamb stew, corned beef and cabbage, chicken in brie) and drank some Harps as well. Fun, relaxing place. Would have loved sitting on the outside patio but the rain prevented it.

This is not a rant for the Wilde Rover. It is an observation of the people, mostly young girls, who apparently do not know how to act in public. I'm all for having a good time. Laughter is the best medicine. However, when folks come into a restaurant/bar to enjoy live music which can not be hear over constant loud conversations, enough is enough! If you must yell at each other or you're not interested in the music, please take it outside or go towards the back of the restaurant. Nuff said!

The food was OK, think bar food trying to seem like it's not by adding a few nicer items and jacking the price. But if you want a bar environment (noisy, music, etc.) and where you can bring kids then this is your place. Lots of live music to be had. Just don't order the lamb stew.

The servers were very nice but we had 3 year olds with us and they brought their food out early and then we waited for ours for another 10-15 minutes so by then they kids were done and wanted to leave. So we all ended up taking boxes of our food with us. There were not a lot of people in the restaurant so I am not quite sure why it took so long to get our order. The food was good, but nothing special. I think I would go back without the children.

Wonderful establishment. Been there for bands before, were very accommodating (we messed up on our booking/wrong day), we were an hour late and they were happy to seat us and still take care of us (and 15 ladies can be a handful :)). Exceptional customer service...drinks were good and brought in a timely fashion.

Very grateful for the dinner to go off without a hitch!

I've been to the Wilde Rover several times. The service has always been terribly slow but I was in luck this last visit and my waiter was very attentive. A happy improvement! It is a great place for Science Café:showing up at 5:30 and ordering off of the Happy Hour menu was a smart idea since the room was packed by 6:15. I have food allergies and the waiter made sure nothing was in my dinner that I couldn't eat. What a relief. All the other times I have been there I've had to send something back because the kitchen made a mistake. One thing that annoys me is that a waiter takes your order but a different person delivers it so it makes it hard to discuss any problems with the food or the service. Good luck finding your waitress!
