Great taste but had an issue with the meat quality. They made it right as a good restaurant should and I will return.

Had a reservation for Valentine's Day dinner. I ordered a drink off the February specials menu that was more ice than anything else. Our main course food was excellent (we've dined here before and the food was up to the regular high standard we expected) However, partway through our desserts, our server came over, informed us that they were very busy and asked if we were "coming to the end" of our food, making us feel like we were being pushed out of the restaurant (especially since several other couples had been seated for longer than us, and did not seem to be getting rushed out). Very awkward experience, especially considering the cost of our meal and the occasion.
Booked for Valentines Dinner for 3, however we were seated at a table set for 2...not a huge deal but i feel that since we booked in advance they should have been prepared for all 3 of us. Although it was Valentine’s day, they were playing loud 80s music...nothing like having a special dinner to “Ghost Busters”. Pasta on two of our dishes was over cooked and Cod dish was particularly fishy tasting. Service was good. Disappointed in the overall experience though.
Its always nice to visit Wildcraft. On this occasion we found the shrimp a bit over battered. However it was still good.
Overall Wildcraft was quite good. Our meals came out relatively quick hot and tasty! All 5 adults had something different and all good from chicken to cod to pork chop. the only one lacking was the mushroom pasta...without the chillies it was bland. Also I'm still disappointed that not one of the 3 main restaurants in the Charcoal Group has a good caesar salad anymore. You used to be the best for this classic...why ruin a good thing? anyway, overall our experience was good and the server was excellent!
We were disappointed this occasion as the food was not up to the same standard as it has been in the past. Some items were a bit cool, bread had been substituted for more interesting & better match flatbreads, the cod was a bit "mushy" and the coffee was weak & cheap.
Re the cod: the texture suggested that it had been refrozen before cooking which destroys the texture. The waitstaff were pleasant & efficient.
Chèvre and mushroom flatbread outstanding. Pastas were delicious.
