No complaints. Nice ex9
We have dined at Wild Sea Oyster Bar in the past and always had a great meal. This time we partook of the Thanksgiving Buffet. It was fantastic. There was a great selection of carved meats, traditional side dishes, salads, raw bar and (of course) dessert.
The management of this Las Olas restaurant needs to learn a lot about customer service. When I made reservations for Thanksgiving day, I was told our party of five could order from the regular menu. Their special that day was a Thanksgiving Buffet at $49 a person.
When we arrived and seated, I was told we couldn’t order from the regular menu. To have a non Thanksgiving Meal, we would have to move around 50 feet away to their sister restaurant, same management, same ownership. We are seniors and having settled in to one table.... we were asked to move to another table!!!! Not very good customer service.
That done, we were blessed with a lovely server!!
The Riverside Hotel needs to be aware of the non accommodating issues of restaurants that are housed in their hotel.
The food and service was excellent. Alexander was enthusiastic and attentive
Excellent service, not pretentious or overbearing. I recommend the snapper!
Great service and food was delicious
We made reservations for an anniversary dinner. Everything was top-notch. The service was impeccable and dinner was delicious. If you like octopus, I highly recommend it. I will definitely go back if we are in Ft. Lauderdale once again.
We really enjoyed our server and loved our dinner with you.
The oysters were really good. Thank you for the Prosecco toast for our anniversary.
Wonderful experience all around,
Thanks for a great time. We enjoyed the Sunday brunch
After waiting 45 minutes the waiter brings out our main course. Only problem is we ordered starters. Instead of bringing the food back he offered us free deserts to solve his problem. Manager never came by to ask or find out what was gong on. Service was very bad. Restaurant was quiet for a Saturday so we should have known. Very disappointing
The ambience was exceptional. The wine list was very extensive with a number of choices. We truly enjoyed the grilled octopus and seared brussels sprout. The service was above average. I would definitely go back to this restaurant.
Having looked forward to the reservation made almost 2 months prior, it is unfortunate that the restaurant allows cellphone use, particularly on speaker, in the dining room.
People should be encouraged to go out in the hall or outside if they must talk on their cells during their meals.
So inconsiderate for this person to disturb the otherwise lovely ambiance. And the management, although asked, did really nothing to curtail the disturbance.
The Jazz player on the other hand was wonderful-- not too loud-- and the musician was quite accomplished. And Natasha our waitress was great.
Decent but not worth the price
Food was delicious, service was excellent, ambiance was incredible. What else is there to say? 5 Stars!
Our server, Tami of Japanese decent, was excellent! Everything we orderedeas prepared and present beautifully. From the selection of oysters (east coast and west coast), to the top neck clams and grilled octopus, the food was fresh and the appetizers tasted great! We tried the monk fish, grouper and the branzino and the combination of flavors melted in your mouth. Chef Toby and his culinary team are a must visit when you are in the Fort Lauderdale area.
Joly data with my haubans. We went to hockey game after.
I live in this area and can’t believe I didn’t know about this hidden gem. We found this place because we were craving oysters. Greeted by Salomon with a welcoming smile. The seafood was fresh and delicious. The raw bar tasting appetizer was plentiful and tasty. We enjoyed an extra half dozen of the east coast oysters. We ended up sharing an Ahi Tuni loin with broccolini and shiitake mushrooms which were to die for. And can’t forget to mention the flavorful side dish of sweet corn and bacon. Adestin was an awesome server and was on point with his recommendations. Were very happy we came here and will definitely come back.
Can’t say enough about Wild Sea!!!! The staff and ambience were excellent, and the food... oh, the food!!!! The simple lobster was to die for, cooked to perfection. I also ordered the broccolini and shiitake mushrooms and they were delish!!!!! I will come definitely come back!
5 stars all around!!! Great ambiance. Our waiter Victor was outstanding. Food was AMAZING!!! Intend to bring my family for dinner in the near future
When we arrived nobody cared of us and after a while somebody told us to sit anywhere we want but the tables were not ready!!then after 30minutes we were sited stil nobody came to see us we just decided to leave. The restaurant was empty (I think I know why!!!) only 2 tables with guests, they cannot say they were busy!!! Never again and I will tell all my friends they should not go to the Wild Sea Oyster Bar!!!!!! very disappointing .
When was the last time you went out to dinner and we are able to sit and talk quietly with good friends good food great service and pleasure ambience. This is the place for you no hustle and bustle just perfect dinner food was outstanding highly suggest if you visit Fort Lauderdale or if you live here check this place out
It was my husband’s birthday- 40th
Best food all times, better cuisine, better dishes, and better ambiance
The food was delicious, and the service was extraordinary. If you visit Ft. Lauderdale, I strongly encouage you to have dinner there.
A really nice dining experience... Food was excellent and service was great
First off our server was excellent. No issues whatsoever with him or his attentive nature; always on the ball. The food was good, but far from great. We had 5 for dinner and everyone had something different so we were able to get a fair idea of their offerings. Oyster appetizer was good, all tasted very fresh. The "hot stone" tuna was odd and a bit messy, and the fish dip was also good. For entrees we had a fried snapper, scallops, halibut, a salad, and trout. Again all good but none great. Did I expect more from a seafood spot so close to the ocean> Yes. Would I go back? No. Was it bad, No. Just not as good as it should of been.
Fish was fishy. Rice was crispy. Lobster was raw. Risotto was mushy. Bread was good. Watermelon salad was not edible. Server was great. Manager was nice. Violin player was great- but a bit loud. Decor was pretty. Wine selection was the best thing they had to offer. It was overall not a pleasant experience.
The food and service is always exceptional. And the prices are always higher than you wish they were. But it's worth it, especially now when they have a great musician providing background music.
Great food and service.
I eat here everytime I come down A little disappointd this time.
I eat here a lot. I was very pleased with this experience.
Food was excellent. Service was a little slow at times, but did not ruin a great night. Wife loved the dozen raw oysters (2-of-Each from East & West) - She loved the West Coast oysters the most. Baked oysters were excellent, crab cake was good and basic lobster entree was also good. I ordered the butter poached lobster on truffle risotto - One of my favorite lobster dishes yet! Will definitely try again as we have dined in this restaurant many times before. Great night altogether!
What an amazing dinner. The food was amazing, the service was first class and the entertainment during dinner was perfect for the ambiance. We’ll be back the next time in FTL.
We went for happy hour. The service was so SLOW. The oysters were delicious, which is why we went there. We wanted to order more, but no one came by to take our order or ask us if we wanted anything else. We were very disappointed with the service, and felt they were avoiding serving our table because we were just there for happy hour drinks and oysters. If they are offended by us only ordering from the happy hour menu, then they shouldn’t offer happy hour. Despite their delicious oysters, we won’t be back.
Fantastic food (seafood)
Terrible loud live music
No need for the instrumental band
In the dinner area. A little pricey but good quality.
Fish tartare was excellent! Scrumptious portion came with delicious crunchy salmon skin crackers. The lobster came with butter sauce and lots of meat! Thanks!
Tami was our server and she was great! Amazing oysters and fresh seafood!
Empty restaurant at 7pm was a bad omen. Service bad, empty water glasses, dirty plates not picked up, waited for too long for the check. Food (pecan crusted grouper and lobster risotto) grouper was cooked ok but very bland and ate dry, sides were similar to grocery store frozen section items reheated, lobster also cooked well but risotto was watery and very heavy handed with the truffle oil making the dish one note. Spent over $100 for two entrees and waters. I don’t mind paying for a good meal, but this was not.
