Wild Salsa - Dallas
Great! I have been going here for a couple years now. Always my favorite
The enchiladas were fabulous!!
We were so happy to get a reservations. The restaurant has concrete floor so it is very loud!
Fabulous restaurant. Only issue was our waitress was a little more interested in the men at the table behind us then she was of us. We waited approximately 10 minutes for her to come get our payment once we were finished.
The staff was friendly and the food was fast and good. However, if you have a shellfish allergy I would advise against going here. I ordered the pork tacos and thought I’d be safe. Another guest at my table also had a shellfish allergy and mentioned it in passing. The waiter than told her not to get any tacos because the SAME TONGS are used on all the taco meats. What? I was shocked. This eliminated more than half the menu because so many different meats are handled with the same tongs. Cross contamination action is a huge deal, possibly life threatening, and there was no indication on the menu. So if you decide to go, BE CAREFUL. I was disappointed to say the least.

We had terrible service. The waitress was slow and inept and not friendly to us at all (while we witnessed her being friendly to others). She didn’t refill chips for over 10 minutes when we had ordered queso (that was cold at this point) nor did she ever take our dinner order. At one point, she stood at another table near us for several minutes while they chatted. She didn’t tell us she was busy and would be a minute or anything...the restaurant wasn’t busy mind you. I finally had enough and told a manager who was confused by what I said and didn’t do anything to fix the problem so we left. He didn’t apologize and she was no where to be found. The ambiance was terrible with extremely bad lighting to where we couldn’t see the menu hardly. Overpriced and terrible service. Do not recommend this place at all.

It’s a super cute restaurant!! Just food wise not a lot of options. Margaritas are strong and bold!!
Ordinary meal. Good but nothing special. Service was good, but the restaurant was limited in its ability or willingness to make any modifications for dietary restrictions. Inside of restaurant is dark and unappealing. We sat outside.
Thank you for your feedback on your recent visit to Wild Salsa. I'm glad to hear that the service was good, however I'm sorry to hear about the modifications that were unable to be made. Salt. Over cooked taquitos. Salty McSalty salsa with salt chips. Velveeta level queso. Weak salty margaritas. Service was incredibly slow and inattentive. I’d rather eat at Chop House...or Taco Bell. Only reason I didn’t give it a 1 is because people don’t believe a 1 is really a 1. It’s a 1.

The mojito was made incorrectly and was bitter. Had to return it. Then got a draft beer that wasn’t very cold. Fajita (chicken) was dry. Potatoes undercooked. Green rice weird chemical taste!! Was horrible, will never go back! The one in Fort Worth is a thousand times better!!!

Food wasn't the greatest Mexican. Margaritas disappointing, Service was only fair. Not the greatest atmosphere. Next place we picked was much better
Great food and great service! Colby was fantastic and took great care of our large group!
The food was okay. The margaritas were so sweet it was like drinking syrup. Everyone at the table got their food at one time except for one person who did not get their food until 20 minutes later, which was unacceptable. In addition, multiple people had their food delivered cold. In terms of service, it took 15 minutes after we sat down before anyone acknowledge us, and then we never got an apology or even a recognition about the late food, except for the manager who did apologized and offered the one dish for free.
Thank you for your feedback on your recent visit to Wild Salsa - I am sorry to hear about the delay and food temperature, but I'm glad to hear that our manager tried to fix it. I hope you will give us another chance to see how great our food and service usually are, and certainly how we strive to be.
We sat for about an hour with no food. We asked our waitress for the check because we had to be somewhere. She said, "Oh, you haven't received any food yet?". We waited about another 15-20 minutes for our check. Finally got up and left the money on the table for the drinks we did have (which by the way had 0 alcohol content). ) 10$ for a tiny 8oz drink with no alcohol is not cool. Not sure what the issue was. There was no one else waiting and there were empty tables. Other tables were complaining of the same issues we were. Too bad.

Yerik’a service was great. Cocktails don’t have the same presentation you see online.. in person they’re blahhh. Quesadillas looked like a child’s entree. Presentation was poor. Loved loved loved the Barbacoa Nachos - amazing!! Also loved the music took me back to when I was a kid and my family would make carne asada outside playing loud music while my Tio asks me to bring him a beer from the fridge.. sigh
Wild Salsa Dallas closes Mon-Thurs at 10:00 pm (open table says 11pm). Don’t make the mistake I did and book a reservation for 9:45 as the servers are rightfully not excited to seat you 15 minutes prior to closing. The restaurant was still fairly busy so they accommodated me and took excellent care of me during my speedy dinner.
Great location downtown Dallas. Service was prompt and friendly and the food was tasty and nicely presented. Good value for the price. I would eat here again.
Nice staff. Good food. We were attending a show at Majestic so needed an inexpensive quick mid-week meal before the show. The nice staff opened the window behind us on request. Nice outside, but stuffy, warm, restaurant smell inside. Open window on this nice spring night improved our meal very much since there was no patio dining space.
Taste of food, presentation, decor, ambience and location were all up to par. Prices were fair for quality and quantity of food. For those reasons I would recommend this restaurant. However, service was not worth my money. The hostess couldn’t find my reservation after I showed her on my phone in my email that it was confirmed with a confirmation number. I had to rebook it infront of her and point out my name on her iPad screen, which she again failed to see. She brought us to the table and walks off. My group didn’t want to sit at the table as it had too much sun hitting the area. I waited for the hostess to come back to take us to another table but she just stood there. So I got up and moved. She took the menus and put them on the table and walked away. She didn’t ask if we were happy with our table or why we moved. She didn’t attempt to accommodate. Finally after being sat, the server came to our table. She didn’t give us her name nor introduce herself. She brought us two green salsas for the tortilla chips. We asked to replace one of the salsas for a red salsa since my fiancé has an allergy to the green salsa. She said we’d be charged an addt’l $2.50 although we wouldn’t be eating the second salsa. We ordered a pitcher of margarita and asked for strawberry flavor. After she put the order in she came back and said we’d be charged as a Wild Rita just for the strawberries. So we checked the menu and saw it was $10 more. She FAILED to mention that to us. I told her we didn’t want it anymore and to give us the regular margarita pitcher. Her response was, “ oh but the bartender is already making it, I put the order in”. I explained to her that she should’ve told us the increased price. She made a face and left and came back and said “so do you want the regular margarita then?” We repeated, YES. Lastly, when it was time for dessert, she asked infront of my mom which dessert we wanted when it was supposed to be a surprise for her birthday. Very disappointed with staff.
Great place. Delicious food and margaritas!! Our server Brian was the best!! A must stop if you are in downtown Dallas!!
I had been craving the Arrachera Steak tacos which I had had there once before about 6 weeks ago-best tacos I'd EVER eaten. I ordered the same thing on this last visit, and they didn't begin to compare to my first experience, very disappointing. Won't crave those again.
My husband thoroughly enjoyed the chile relleno-said it was the bests he'd ever had.
Service wasn’t good, food took forever and it was not good quality for the price.
This was an awful experience. I have dined each year I’m in Dallas for the last 4 years. This experience has put an end to this, I will never go back after the rude service and cold food we experienced tonight. In addition after asking to speak to the manager he never came to our table. Our server didn’t come back and they had to have another server come and ask us what we had to eat so she could run our bill. When we said we felt the should maybe comp part of our bill do to the awful service and cold food she said the wouldn’t add gratuity and added the comment we could give our server and her kid whatever we decided. Seriously I can not believe how unprofessional that comment is and that she would try to guilt us into tipping due to a child. The manager should have addressed these concerns but even when we went looking for him he was no where to be found. Other tables were complaining about the service and food too.
Engagement Celebration
Great food and location downtown. Best verde salsa I have had. Chicken enchiladas are very good.
Amazing service and unique food that was really good.
The food was delicious. Flavored uniquely yet original. The queso was sweet and thee salsa with spicy yet mild. A little bit on the pricey side for a Mexican Cuisine but I would definitely go again. The service was outstanding. Even the employees who didn't seem to understand me still could help me.
wild salsa is fantastic. Delicious food, trendy but also family friendly atmosphere. The decor is great and overall a wonderful experience.
Everything was great. Prices on Open Table menu are not correct.
Very enjoyable dinner here. Made it in time for HH. Drinks were delicious. All of us enjoyed the chicken tortilla soup and split the steak tacos. Also, highly recommend a side of the cilantro rice-yum!! Waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about menu. Food came out quickly and was a perfect end to our race day (Hot Chocolate 15K). Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!
Food just okay, and service was very slow.
Pretty expensive for the portions. I got the shrimp tacos and there wasn’t a lot of flavor. My wife got the redfish and really enjoyed hers. The presentation on hers was great also. Service was pretty poor. Still not sure which person was actually our assigned waiter/waitress? Place is very loud! Tequila flights were fun.
I had high hopes for this place based on the chips and salsa verde served to the table as we sat down, those were fantastic!
However, everything was slow-from getting our drinks to the food. When my tacos came out, the meat had been cooked well, it was nice and tender, but it was cold! And the tortillas were soggy. Could have been pretty good but it never panned out.
Not a good experience. You want to give a place the “benefit of the doubt” but they clearly have a cultural problem. The only employee that was pleasant was the runner delivering food to tables. The hostess was rude and un-accommodating (despite having reservations). Our waitress was inattentive, slow, and really didn’t care. I’m sure that they are all good people, but the food simply isn’t good enough to make up for the poor service attitude permeating this establishment. We will not return.
The food, drinks, service, and decor were great. We arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation. We were seated immediately. The only downside to the entire experience was a large table of about 12 was rather loud. But I understand they were just having a fun time. We are looking forward to our next visit.
Two words - cold fajitas
Slow service good food great margeritas
Great service and food. Not enough booze in the margaritas
Twist of variety on margaritas and sweet tea. Infused with flavors. Small portions and not typical Mexican food we expected. If you want normal cheese enchiladas or hot sauce this isn't what you'll find. Chips and green sauce fresh and good. Margaritas good just flavor infused different.
This place takes casual to a new level. The service is sloppy, the food nothing special, but as a sports bar, is quite good. Their salsa was excellent, but my wife's chicken tacos had gristle and my shrimp and bacon quesadilla had very little content or flavor. Great location for the theater, which is why we went, but it's unlikely we will return.
