What a great find in Jackson!! Incredible menu with great creativity, quality and variety. Small menu, small kitchen and small restaurant BUT an absolute “must do” dining experience!! Amazing teamwork in the kitchen. We happened to meet the owner who seems to be a delightful gentleman dedicated to providing a high quality dining experience at competitive prices!!! Will visit this restaurant every time we’re in Jackson!!
The food looked beautiful but did not taste fresh. Both salad and entrees were cleared from the table much less than half eaten you no question about whether we enjoyed it. At $41 per entree, one expects more than visual presentation. Pretty doesn’t cut it if the flavors are not fresh.
Very quiet. Great service. Food a little bit above average.
Food excellent, prepared by an enthusiastic kitchen staff committed to exceptional fare. Pricey for sure and might be tamed a bit. Presentation was outstanding. Seafood was quite well prepared though fully fresh is difficult to deliver in the nation’s interior, at least this seafood. Cherry pie for dessert, and accompanying coffee were outstanding. Bread and salad were also delicious and the lettuce so fresh as to seem beyond our experience. Ambience outstanding in its calm manner and close proximity to the kitchen. Portions are of a reasonable size. For us we will come again for special occasions. Too expensive for more frequent visits. Still larger portions would allow split plates, a $7 option. It’s a challenge to achieve a proper balance among number of tables, price, portion size and quality. Certain adjustments here might enable a more reasonably affordable dining option. Still though, a very fine restaurant. One of Jackson’s best: top three.
A wonderful surprise. Service was excellent as was the food. Choice was limited but sufficient and beautifully prepared. They were very attentive to my wife's allergy. All in all an excellent experience for a special occasion.
Great food, excellent service, nice ambiance! Would return for a special meal anytime!
Weavsolutely everything about this meal! The food was perfection!

I took my family of 2 teenage daughters and 1 adult son to this restaurant. I have eaten at fine dining restaurants all over the world and the food and experience here was among the best I have experienced. The room is small with 10 or so tables and the kitchen is attached to the room so you get to watch the chef's prepare you food. The food was outstanding and the presentation was unbelievable. The waiter could tell you all the details about every dish which was complex. We have one person that is gluten free and the waiter and chef ensured whatever dish she selected would be prepared in that manner. Every dish was outstanding. This was about a $400 meal for the 5 of us with limited alcohol. It was worth every penny. I highly recommend this restaurant as a special occasion (which for us was our "nice meal out night"). I commented to the chef that they should just remove the salt and pepper shakers off the table.
Delicious and beautifully presented.
Small intimate atmosphere wonderful dining experience
The food was excellent and the service was great! My husband loved the bison short ribs. I had one of the specials, bronzino, which was perfectly done. A lovely meal.
This is the second time that we have had dinner at the Wild Sage. It is one of the best restaurants in Jackson, WY. We enjoyed watching the cooks prepare and meticulously place the food on the plates so beautifully. Great restaurant. Make your reservation early because there are only about 8-10 tables in the restaurant. GREAT!
The staff was particularly outstanding and everything else was amazing.
Relaxing small dining room experience where you can see the chef preparing the meals. Our waiter, Jason, was excellent! Knowledgeable and friendly. Best restaurant we went to on the vacation.
Fabulous, intimate restaurant. Food was excellently prepared; staff was attentive and knowledgeable. Great experience overall. Definitely a do-over!
Absolutely fantastic service and food. We sat I a table where we could watch the intricacies of the chef and his staff prepare the dinner. Very, very good and we will be back.
It was wonderful! Cody, Marcus, and Jason provided great service.
Our waiter was top notch-world class service!
The others who assisted him were also attentive and very accommodating!
Food is the best in Jackson as always. In the past we have only gone here on very special occasions, but the prices now seem to be comparable to the other best restaurants in Jackson that we frequent when guests visit; so we’ll be back more often!
Excellent. Jean Paul, our waiter, was magnificent
Food was superb. Service outstanding. Sophisticated feeling. Quiet vibe.
Wild Sage is a great restaurant and almost like having a private chef. The dining area is small and the staff stages things perfectly. Menu items are thoughtful and exciting. It is a bit of a hidden gem in Jackson. I have experienced all of the top end restaurants and this is my favorite. You will not be disappointed.
The food was sophisticated; King Crab cakes were terrific. Excellent wine selection.
The service was excellent. A
Always an enjoyable evening. Cozy atmosphere, very professional service, and exquisite food!
Our server, Jason was attentive, knowledgeable and professional!
We've lived in Jackson for five years. I was a little "off" this place for a while because I thought the menu was getting a little too fancy and a bit pretentious. We went back last year and loved it and we just took two friends and it was fabulous. I'm liking the menu more and more and the service is always excellent.
We'll be going much for often now.
A very small intimate restaurant where you can carry on a conversation. Food and presentation both are excellent. Seasonal ingredients and specials are used in creative ways. Our server was excellent, and explained and gave us "suggestions" based on our questions!
While not an inexpensive restaurant, the Wild Sage is not at all out of line, in Jackson, for the extremely high quality, beautiful presentation and service.
Great food and service
This is by far our favorite restaurant in town. Excellent service, uniquely tasty menu, quiet, small. We learned, on this visit, that their corkage fee is $25 per bottle - the reason I asked is that we may come here later this summer with visitors from afar and we have some really nice wine, well- aged, that I would like to bring. I also learned that bread, soup plus one of their special appetizers is too much food for me. Next visit it will be appetizer, a half-glass of wine, and dessert.
On vacation. Wanted something nice with great food and service. This restaurant has the ability to make you feel like the only one in the restaurant.
The service was wonderful and the food was excellent. The dinner entre offerings are limited, however. The blood orange sorbet was out of this world. Also, the bread is delidious. Wine list was ample and interesting.
The ambiance seems geared to the more mature diner compared to other Jackson restaurants. Very quiet.
Recommended for a nice anniversary dinner.
Great food and perfect service. Would definitely go again.
We went for our 33rd anniversary with friends. Great food and atmosphere. Menu is limited but expertly selected by the chef. The wait staff was very attentive to our needs.
Delicious & perfect!
Food and service excellent. Wine overpriced. Overall a very good option in Jackson!
First visit to this small, very nicely appointed restaurant located in a rustic inn a block off Broadway in Jackson.
The menu is small, but offers several god choices. The very tiny open kitchen is not a distraction and adds to the ambience.
Service was outstanding , as was the food (Wagyu filet, lamb loin). It is a bit pricey for some items (filet was$59) but others are more reasonable. On balance the price reflects the quality. Recommend it highly.
THE REVIEW CAN BE SUMMARIZED IN MUCH LESS THAN 50 CHARACTERS - IT WAS SUPERCALIFRAGALISTIC EXPEALADOSOUS!
The dining room is small and intimate. The menu is appropriately limited but includes something to satisfy most palates. I had king salmon; my husband had bison short ribs. Both were excellent. We went back a few days later for breakfast. That was also excellent.
Try any house specials. They are guaranteed to be fabulous. I had hand-made pasta & hand-made gnocchi. The Hubs had the steak special. Rhubarb cobbler was excellent. A perfect evening
THIS RESTAURANT IS FANTASTIC
THE FOOD IS AMAZING THE SERVICE IS GREAT
THE WINE SELECTION IS GREAT
WILL DEFINITELY GO AGAIN AND RECOMMEND FRIENDS & CLIENTS
Outstanding service and food. Quiet, nice lighting, fireplace. Would recommend w/o reservation if looking for good food in a delightful atmosphere!
