We were sat right away upon our arrival. The staff was polite and we were greeted by our waiter in a timely manner. We ordered the crab cake appetizer to share. It was small portions for the price but very good. We also shared a salad before our main course that was very tasty as well. My husband and I both ordered steaks. He had a ribeye and I had a filet minon. His was over cooked and mine under cooked. It was disappointing since it took a while for the food to arrive. We chose not to send them back to be recooked. The server did take care of our appetizer cost due to the entrees being cooked incorrectly. Overall, I was not overly impressed with the experience, especially when spending as much money as we did. However, the staff was very polite and attentive.

Wild River Grille is a nice comfortable place which sits on the Reno River Walk. The food is very good, although the menu has changed. Still great quality food, top notch service, cozy atmosphere inside, patio seating is wonderful in the late spring, summer, and early fall. American food, locally sourced.

A little on the pricier side for what it was, you're paying to sit on the river basically. Service was great if a little rushed at times it seemed but overall very helpful and attentive. Food was excellent and perfectly prepared.

FYI...

I tried many times to modify the reservation on round table and it didn’t work, it said done, but still came up with 5ppl when I checked the following day. I would like to know why I was unable to modify. I called and spoke to a Selena on 5/27/2019 at 6:35pm to change my number of guest from 5ppl to 3ppl. When we arrived they said our table was ready. They took us to the table and it was for a table for 5ppl. I told the server that there will only be 3ppl and said thank you for telling me. Obviously they never changed the reservation either or inform the server.

My Husband was disappointed that the Chef decides to change the menu a week before Mother’s Day... which was coconut crusted Mahi-Mahi. I will say...that the staff was very professional and apologetic. The bartenders were great!

Thank you.

Nice waiter but my partner has a nightshade allergy. He was very good about checking with the kitchen and yet her meal was served with a large helping of mashed potatoes - which she cannot have and they were made aware of this. This eliminates them from our list. And I felt the other servings were small for the price.

I would recommend Wild River Grille, but mostly because of it's location. It sits aside the Truckee River and has a lot of foot traffic that makes it exciting and vibrant. However, the food and service are uneven. My wife and I have eaten here about a dozen times and had poor service twice and poor food twice on separate occasions. This most recent time, the server's timing in serving food and taking plates showed her inexperience and the duck confit was less that I'd expected, since it was very salty tasting, dry, and all taste of duck had been cooked out.

Everything was pretty good over all. I had the shrimp tacos. They were tasty, but I was disappointed that the shrimp was fried. Didn’t remember seeing that on the menu, but either way, the shrimp got soggy. Will try something else next time.

Wild River Grille has a unique setting on the Truckee River on River Walk. Unfortunately what started as a fun twilight dinner was interrupted by a barking dog at an adjoining table. Service started well but soon slowed when it obvoious the severs were mere more interested in chatting with themselves than attending to guests. With sound management, this could be an outstanding restaurant. Heaters are definitely needed when the sun goes down for outdoor dining.

We recently moved to Reno. This is a fun restaurant in a fun location. We had eaten here before for lunch on a Sunday. I thought the menu and the execution were awesome! Really fun options for a Sunday lunch. This time we did dinner. It was great. I just didn't think it was as interesting menu. It was more about excellent execution. So, it didn't disappoint. The service was impeccable. We'll absolutely go there again and it will be one of our regular dinner places.

Went for dinner with friends. We were from out of town. I ordered the Halibut which was 38.00 and when I received my food it was cold tot he touch. I was also the first one to receive my meal out of my party of 7. I was very disappointed.

Wild River Grille is absolutely superb! The food, service, and location on the Truckee River set this place apart from most other Reno restaurants. In addition, my husband is gluten intolerant and this place offers some wonderfully innovative gluten free options. Highly recommend!

We had been there before and it was excellent.
I don’t know if it was because of set ‘Easter’ menu but very disappointing. The Holindaise sauce was great but the bagels on all 3 orders you couldn’t SAW to bite size pieces. The dessert pound cake flavor was good but so heavy no one finished.
Server had someone come over to speak to us, but others were finished and ready to leave. We didn’t want to upset anyone.
It just wasn’t a good experience this time.

We were there for Easter brunch. My food wasn’t fully cooked and was very cold. They replaced it for me but it came back the same. I ate it being everyone was almost done with their meals. They did remove it from the check but sorry to say , I was disappointed with my food. :(

Went for Easter brunch, which was a prefix menu. Got our appetizer platter but then they brought out our entrees literally just a few minutes later when we hadn't even had time to finish the appetizer plate. They were serving a limited menu so you'd think the food would be fresh and prepared just for you, but you could tell nothing was made just then as the eggs were luke warm and steak only semi warm. They brought out one small desert to share at the end, whereas for the price I would have expected our own desserts. After coffee, tax, and tip it was not worth the $97 bill.

I was disappointed with the quality of the food. The appetizer was not as appetizing as it was advertised. The salmon on my daughter’s eggs Benedict was dry and the bagel was quite crunchy so when she asked for a steak knife, the kitchen was out of clean steak knifes - we never got one even after asking. The other meal was steak and eggs and the only way you could get your eggs was scrambled which wouldn’t be bad but they tasted like egg beaters and very salty. I just didn’t think the quality was exceptional for Easter Sunday; and we wanted a special treat.
