The wait staff was very pleasant, although it took quite awhile for service after we were seated. Once we put our order in the service was quick. The food was okay, but not great. The dinner salads where very good, but my wife ordered Mahi Mahi and it was extremely dry. We will try it again for lunch and sit out on the patio. Hopefully the quality of the food is better. We ate inside this time and the interior appears a little run down.
Best filet mignon I’ve had in town. Wild river grille never disappoints.
Great place....nice location....good food & staff!
We always love coming to Wild River because the food and experience is always great!
Drinks and appetizers were nice. Salad was great. Disappointed on my steak as it was over done and didn't like the risotto. However, my girlfriend's spare ribs were great.
Wild River Grill is one of my favorite local places. I often order a salad and the scallops small plate. The bruschetta and the steamed clams are other favorites. On this last visit, the music was loud and we could hardly carry on a conversation. We mentioned it to our waiter and the volume was immediately turned down. I love this place!
Delicious dinner and excellent service. The food is nicely prepared and served and we've always been pleased with whatever we choose. Nice atmosphere on the river, and good for people watching. We always look forward to dining here.
Wild River Grill is a special place. My wife had never been there, but I had. A first anniversary is pretty special and the entire experience was certainly that. Crab cake starter, beef filet (hers Oscar style, mine with added scampi), and the pomegranate gelato for dessert. Be prepared for pricey. With drinks, the bill for two came to $150. Worth it? Absolutely! Service from our server Sarah was A+ and the views and ambiance can't be beat. For a special evening, look no further.
Great food. Great service.
It was too cold to sit outside so we went in, but it was too noisy for comfortable conversation. The food was great and the setting is lovely — just loud.
My hubby & I went here for date night (without the 3 kids!) and it was spectacular. We were seated right away. Our waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable in regards to the drink selection and menu. Our appetizer of crab & salmon cakes was perfect, and our entrees were amazing. My husband had the salmon, I had the chicken. All in all, an amazing night, wonderful food and great service. Would come here again!
This was our second visit and we weren’t disappointed, excellent food and very attentive staff.
It took awhile for our server to show up at our table. Since it was still happy hour we asked what the happy hour drinks were. She left and got us a menu. When our friends asked what brand of alcohol was used she was a bit flippant saying “these are happy hour drinks “. She was obviously stretched thin as she was very impatient with our questions and ready to run off. As the night went on, she seemed calmer and more friendly. The food was excellent but for the price, I was not impressed with service or the dining area.
Wasn’t terrible but the steak was bland and Caesar salad was bland. I would rather go somewhere else for that price. We sat at the bar and the counter was dirty.
We went to the Wild River Grille to celebrate Administrative Professionals Day and we were treated very well. The food took a bit of time, but the manager kept checking on us during the time. The food was definitely worth the wait. The special of the day was a Shrimp BLT that was out of this world. Highly recommend!!
Your website attracted our out of town group of parents and volleyball players. The lunch menu was expansive and food amazing!! 2 thumbs up and complete do over!!
Never been to Reno and was looking for a good place to have dinner. Searched open table for a place to go - chose this place because it was situated on the river and had a good menu. We arrived at 5:15 just in time for their weekday happy hour. Great value for most of their appetizers and certain drinks.
Foodwise, the Bruschetta and the Wild River Salad were great! I ordered the Idaho Trout and it was very average. If you are looking for a white fish, that is exactly what you will get. Nothing spectacular about it.
All in all, definitely take advantage of the happy hour (4-6 weekdays) for food and drinks, and this place is a great spot.
Took an out of town friend and we both enjoyed the place
The staff and excellent food make this a great restaurant
Very nice! My friends and I got a whole room for ourselves for prom! We weren't expecting that at all! Our sever was awesome and made us feel really welcome!
Excellent dishes. Really enjoyed the butternut squash hummus with pita, very fresh; salmon with plum chipotle sauce was slightly overdone for my preference and I was not reminded at the time of ordering which would have been helpful but the flavor was excellent. Nice wine list and good service for a very busy Saturday night.
Lunch before a play. Food was good and the service was great!
The food is always good, reliable. Service is almost always great. Mimosas are wonderful.
I love this place! It is consistent. I have never had a bad meal there and the service is always very good
I had steak and scallops which was presented nicely. Unfortunately the steak was over done and very underwhelming. The scallops and the side was tasty, however I was overall disappointed in my meal since the steak was my main reason for my dinner selection.
Loved the plum chipotle salmon
Possibly the best steak I've ever had. Can't wait to go back and try something else.
Our waitress was outstanding! Unfortunately due to old brain I can not recall, however she had black hair and was fabulous! Food was delicious! A little noisy for us but Would definitely go back because the food and service was the best we have had in a long time and we are locals.
We usually choose The Wild River Grill on theater nights because it is just across the street from the theater, convenient and good food with menu selections for everyone.
Hostess as friendly and polite. Restaurant has dark decor, busy for a Wednesday night. Service need to be more attentive, we had to keep asking for more water. Waited almost an hour for our meals to arrive. Menu prices were several dollars more than shown on Open Table. Food was okay, meat dishes over cooked, heavy with the oil and butter on side dishes. Not impressed.
We sat outside with our dog. The service was great, the food was very tasty my daughter had the butternut ravioli, her boyfriend had the meatloaf and I had the scallops, we were all happy with the food and the cost wasn’t too bad $125 for three
Great Easter Brunch menu!
I had a bunch of friends raving about this place but we were less than impressed. Our appetizer took awhile which was comped, our service was not great. Server seemed pre occupied with side work instead of table touches and communication. Bathroom was super nasty. Towels everywhere and was an area of opportunity for this establishment. Probably won’t be coming back.
Wonderful meal and fabulous service. I have never been disappointed with Wilde River Grille.
We introduced friends to Wild River for dinner this past Saturday and they loved it as much as my husband and I do!! We will always recommend this restaurant. We are never disappointed
The Bruschetta was absolutely amazing, I could eat it every meal. Love when steak is served with something besides potatoes. A little pricey but well worth it for an occasion, highly recommend.
The food was good, the service was fast. The waiter didn't seem to know much about product and when we asked what the well whiskey was he said he didn't know, but he didn't recommend it, he wasn't sure it was even whiskey.
We enjoyed the outdoors, our waitress was good.. our first time there and would go back again !
We were only in town for two nights, but because it was such a great find the first night, we went back for a second time! It is a new favorite in Reno, and since we'll be moving to Reno, it's going to be a wonderful place to eat often!
Generally very good, but several of the dishes were way too sweet in the saucing.
