Great food and service. Enjoyable experience. Will return,
The food was bland, and my steak was way under cooked. The room they put us in was right next to the kitchen and felt like a storage area. The servers were great and attentive. The noise was mostly loud kitchen noises.
Wild River has been a go to for me, I love the patio and the service is always top notch.
Food was just ok. Ordered a BLTA, menu says it is served with butter lettuce, instead got shredded iceberg lettuce and about 1/4 an avacado for the entire sandwich... My husband got the prime rib dip and asked for mustard when it was served. About 20 minutes later it finally arrived after his sandwich had gotten soggy and cold. The crab cake appetizer was good.
We had a very pleasant dining experience. Great food, nice location, nice wine selection We three had elk medallions, meat loaf and spicy pasta. All of us were very happy with the food.
The waiter , James, was excellent with good suggestions. The crab cakes didn’t taste like crab, I would skip them. The cheese plate and chicken skewers were good. The beer and salads were excellent.
Very weird experience
Greeted by hostess with no word just a look. Gave her our name and the waiter took us to the table . Not a smile not a have a nice dinner not a word.
Seated in a back room with zero ambiance, seldom visited by service staff. Received entrees plates cool to touch, food temp as expected Luke warm at best. I had the meatloaf, average, can always tell it’s end of shift when they empty the steam well of every mashed potato left onto your plate. Generous as it may be but a bit much!
A good ten minutes from setting entrees to follow up. Cold food got colder, we were not in a position for a reheat so we muddled through. All in all an average at best experience. Note to chef, hot foods hot cold foods cold. Plates heated even slightly will change you complexity for the better! Ps do you serve dinner bread? None received
I was here for happy hour. It is worth it, but another times were better. I’ve missed to listen to music
Wonderful outside seating with lots to watch. Would highly recommend for date night.
Great outdoor dining on the riverwalk.
Terrific site really good ambience outstanding service food needs help. Ordered a Reuben meat was of either poor quality or old hamburger was OK but not outstanding beet salad was excellent.
Great food, friendly staff right on the Truckee River.
We are outside on the patio. We have a dog and it was great to be able to have him with us. Great service. Food was fantastic!!
So unbelievably hot. Very uncomfortable heat and Boise level. Their waitress and hostess were so unprofessional and had no clue where to seat us after saying our table was ready. So we were wandering around the restaurant with them while they tried to figure it out.
Food is WAY OVERPRICED for the quality and quantity.
Horrible experience and we dine in quite a few states and countries on the regular and enjoy the fine dining. My 5 year old ordered mussels and they tasted awful she was so disappointed it’s her favorite meal.
We go every Sunday for lunch and the patio is superb. Service is great. Food is limited selection but yummy
Great food and service. Nice outdoor seating with a view of the river.
Loved it ! Food was delicious, onion soup could of been hotter! Overall everything was great !
The food was incredible. The service was spot on. Very good experience.
It was my second time there and it was the exact opposite of my first experience. The service was slow and made mistakes. It took forever to get food even though it wasn't busy. They messed up my wife's gluten free dinner and gave her a vegan saying that they are the same although gluten comes with risotto which is not vegan therefore catching them in a lie. My filet was a little ball that was overcooked as medium instead of medium rare. Asparagus was cold and still raw, no flavor to it. Shrimp scampi add on tasted frozen and flavor less. Won't be returning.
It was our first real dining with my daughter, her husband and their 2 kiddos. We wete served quickly and the food was delicious! I will be returning when my Son brings his new wife to visit in May and I look forward to it!
Was a great experience as always.
The salmon and crab cakes were amazing! I highly recommend. However the fish tacos had no flavor and by the time they arrived at our table the tortilla was already soggy. I couldn't even hold the taco without juice running down my had and making a complete mess.
We didn't get in at our reservation time but the staff was very nice and offered us drinks and we weren't in a big hurry so no big deal. There isn't a view of the river from the patio and it was a bit sunny and very windy, but we were with friends and did enjoy ourselves. Food was very good even though it cooled off too fast due to the wind. I would recommend this restaurant though it is a bit pricey.
Sat outside in the patio facing the river. Very comfortable and sun umbrellas were used to help provide shade. Lunch menu offerings had something for everyone. Quality of the food was very very good. Had the garden flatbread, and it was delicious. One person in the group had the turkey sandwich. Very good. Portions are on the larger side. Excellent lemonade.
The upgraded food is always fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere and the wait staff makes you feel right at home.
I am a long time patron of Wild River Grill. Over the years they have consistently maintained a high level of good service and good food. The patio has always been one of my favorite spots to meet up with friends for lunch or for happy hour.
They are one of the few places I feel comfortable dining inside. They have done an excellent job of adhering to Covid protocols without losing their atmosphere of casual fine dining.
My husband had trout and loved it. I had short ribs that were extremely salty. So much do, I had difficulty eating it. I guess I should have gone with the seafood. Cocktails were very good and service was very good as well. I would return to try again.
I love Wild River Grille! Everything was great, our server (Enrique?), our meal, desert, and of course the sunset as we sat outside.
I have never had a bad experience there!
I took my friend to the Easter Brunch .......price fix menu only available.
We both had the quiche. , very good. .. but the rest of the food could not have been more "average". not worth the 40 bucks. that's for sure.
Ordered the coffee rubbed steak medium rare and received it well done. It was dry and not worth the cost. Would have sent it back but the wind was so bad sitting outside I wouldn’t want the rest of my party to wait for my meal to be recooked. Very disappointed. Have been coming there for years for Easter brunch, never had bad food until now.
We went for Easter brunch. Two out of four breakfasts were great yummy. Unfortunately the French toast was breaded and fried dark golden brown. It was so crunchy that it could be heard across the table and hard to eat. There was nothing on the menu describing this item to be fried so we expected more traditional French toast. Another of our party ordered steak and eggs. The waitress didn’t ask how well to cook the steak and frankly we didn’t notice at the time of ordering so the steak came out medium well. The presentation was nothing special - kind of looked like diner food. The short rib Benedict was delicious except English muffins too hard to cut through and inedible. Chicken and chorizo biscuit was perfect . Coffee wasn’t refilled much. Over $180 before tip for 4 people (Easter pricing) and we all were a tad disappointed. We have dined at Wild River dozens of times and normally it is excellent. 4-5 stars every time. This time was more like a two or three star experience and if we not had so many great experiences here and know they are capable of better, we would not return. Hence why four star review as I don’t feel it is fair to give a low star review for one negative experience.
Our first time to Wild River Grill. It is everything you could ever want. Service was outstanding, professional, friendly.
This is the kind of place where you feel welcome and go back again and again. Food was excellent, we all had different dishes. I had salmon over chickpeas. Salmon was cooked perfect, flavor fresh and moist. Husband had a prime rib sandwich with dip. He ate the whole thing! Daughter had chicken Caprese sandwich with fresh cooked potato chips. She said it was fantastic. Her boyfriend had the special. It looked like a grilled beef sandwich with French fries. He said it was very good. Granddaughter had the Mac & cheese lobster.... she put the chicken hawk on it! Very rich and creamy.
Needless to say we will be going back and highly recommend to anyone that enjoys good quality food and great customer service.
Made for a Great date night. Good setting nice and quiet, sat in our own section. Will definitely be going again
Waitress was phenomenal! Loved her and wish I could remember her name. Food, location and service on point as always!
Prime rib was terrific, and the service was the best my girlfriend and I have had in a while. 100% would recommend.
It’s always nice. Better in the summer sitting outside. Overall a nice meal.
I love happy hour (4-6 M-F) on the Truckee River at Wild River Grill. It is fun and they have the best Caprese Bruchetta in town. It's perfectly balanced with fresh pesto, ripe tomatoes, mozzarella melted under the broiler on sliced French bread finished with drizzles of slightly sweet balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I have never had anything I didn't like here.
Great Service- Outdoor Dinning Nice.
Average place for the price!
