Great food, friendly staff right on the Truckee River.
So unbelievably hot. Very uncomfortable heat and Boise level. Their waitress and hostess were so unprofessional and had no clue where to seat us after saying our table was ready. So we were wandering around the restaurant with them while they tried to figure it out.
Food is WAY OVERPRICED for the quality and quantity.
Horrible experience and we dine in quite a few states and countries on the regular and enjoy the fine dining. My 5 year old ordered mussels and they tasted awful she was so disappointed it’s her favorite meal.
We go every Sunday for lunch and the patio is superb. Service is great. Food is limited selection but yummy
Great food and service. Nice outdoor seating with a view of the river.
Loved it ! Food was delicious, onion soup could of been hotter! Overall everything was great !
The food was incredible. The service was spot on. Very good experience.
It was my second time there and it was the exact opposite of my first experience. The service was slow and made mistakes. It took forever to get food even though it wasn't busy. They messed up my wife's gluten free dinner and gave her a vegan saying that they are the same although gluten comes with risotto which is not vegan therefore catching them in a lie. My filet was a little ball that was overcooked as medium instead of medium rare. Asparagus was cold and still raw, no flavor to it. Shrimp scampi add on tasted frozen and flavor less. Won't be returning.
Was a great experience as always.
The salmon and crab cakes were amazing! I highly recommend. However the fish tacos had no flavor and by the time they arrived at our table the tortilla was already soggy. I couldn't even hold the taco without juice running down my had and making a complete mess.
We didn't get in at our reservation time but the staff was very nice and offered us drinks and we weren't in a big hurry so no big deal. There isn't a view of the river from the patio and it was a bit sunny and very windy, but we were with friends and did enjoy ourselves. Food was very good even though it cooled off too fast due to the wind. I would recommend this restaurant though it is a bit pricey.
Sat outside in the patio facing the river. Very comfortable and sun umbrellas were used to help provide shade. Lunch menu offerings had something for everyone. Quality of the food was very very good. Had the garden flatbread, and it was delicious. One person in the group had the turkey sandwich. Very good. Portions are on the larger side. Excellent lemonade.
The upgraded food is always fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere and the wait staff makes you feel right at home.
I am a long time patron of Wild River Grill. Over the years they have consistently maintained a high level of good service and good food. The patio has always been one of my favorite spots to meet up with friends for lunch or for happy hour.
They are one of the few places I feel comfortable dining inside. They have done an excellent job of adhering to Covid protocols without losing their atmosphere of casual fine dining.
My husband had trout and loved it. I had short ribs that were extremely salty. So much do, I had difficulty eating it. I guess I should have gone with the seafood. Cocktails were very good and service was very good as well. I would return to try again.
I love Wild River Grille! Everything was great, our server (Enrique?), our meal, desert, and of course the sunset as we sat outside.
I have never had a bad experience there!
I took my friend to the Easter Brunch .......price fix menu only available.
We both had the quiche. , very good. .. but the rest of the food could not have been more "average". not worth the 40 bucks. that's for sure.
Ordered the coffee rubbed steak medium rare and received it well done. It was dry and not worth the cost. Would have sent it back but the wind was so bad sitting outside I wouldn’t want the rest of my party to wait for my meal to be recooked. Very disappointed. Have been coming there for years for Easter brunch, never had bad food until now.
We went for Easter brunch. Two out of four breakfasts were great yummy. Unfortunately the French toast was breaded and fried dark golden brown. It was so crunchy that it could be heard across the table and hard to eat. There was nothing on the menu describing this item to be fried so we expected more traditional French toast. Another of our party ordered steak and eggs. The waitress didn’t ask how well to cook the steak and frankly we didn’t notice at the time of ordering so the steak came out medium well. The presentation was nothing special - kind of looked like diner food. The short rib Benedict was delicious except English muffins too hard to cut through and inedible. Chicken and chorizo biscuit was perfect . Coffee wasn’t refilled much. Over $180 before tip for 4 people (Easter pricing) and we all were a tad disappointed. We have dined at Wild River dozens of times and normally it is excellent. 4-5 stars every time. This time was more like a two or three star experience and if we not had so many great experiences here and know they are capable of better, we would not return. Hence why four star review as I don’t feel it is fair to give a low star review for one negative experience.
Our first time to Wild River Grill. It is everything you could ever want. Service was outstanding, professional, friendly.
This is the kind of place where you feel welcome and go back again and again. Food was excellent, we all had different dishes. I had salmon over chickpeas. Salmon was cooked perfect, flavor fresh and moist. Husband had a prime rib sandwich with dip. He ate the whole thing! Daughter had chicken Caprese sandwich with fresh cooked potato chips. She said it was fantastic. Her boyfriend had the special. It looked like a grilled beef sandwich with French fries. He said it was very good. Granddaughter had the Mac & cheese lobster.... she put the chicken hawk on it! Very rich and creamy.
Needless to say we will be going back and highly recommend to anyone that enjoys good quality food and great customer service.
Made for a Great date night. Good setting nice and quiet, sat in our own section. Will definitely be going again
Waitress was phenomenal! Loved her and wish I could remember her name. Food, location and service on point as always!
Prime rib was terrific, and the service was the best my girlfriend and I have had in a while. 100% would recommend.
It’s always nice. Better in the summer sitting outside. Overall a nice meal.
I love happy hour (4-6 M-F) on the Truckee River at Wild River Grill. It is fun and they have the best Caprese Bruchetta in town. It's perfectly balanced with fresh pesto, ripe tomatoes, mozzarella melted under the broiler on sliced French bread finished with drizzles of slightly sweet balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I have never had anything I didn't like here.
Great Service- Outdoor Dinning Nice.
Average place for the price!
It was a lovely evening on the patio. I love that they have a gluten free and vegan menu and were accommodating to my genuine food allergies. The ambiance was lovely and while a little chilly on the patio we had an absolute phenomenal time with stellar service, tasty drinks and wonderful food!
On our way to the airport
Unfortunately the wind picked up, but our waiter was terrific and we had a lovely meal.
This place is lovely. We sat on the deck. Danny our waiter was thoughtful and attentive. My husband's elk medallions off the GF menu was perfect he said and the wonderful attention to GF folks will make us come back.
I tend to be picky and while the scallops were done perfectly and soooo good (small plate) the polenta was runny and really not an appropriate match, ditto the mushrooms. The scallops could have stood alone and been plated with just a balsalmic glaze or something equally simple. Additionally I was very specific about the cocktail I ordered and it was disappointing.
Finally the creme brulee was delicious but over large so the proportion of brulle to custard was not balanced. A shallower portion would have been perfect with a touch longer torch to it.
One of our favorite places for date night. Great food, drinks, and the service is excellent.
One of the better places in Reno to enjoy outdoor dining, perfectly situated by the river.
Great service, good food and dog friendly! All staff was COVID safe. Go! Support local businesses!
We all ordered fillet mignon. All 3 cooked perfectly. Would have rather had the risotto prepared normally, not into a fried cake. 8 ordered extra shrimp with mine. They weren't that tasty and were slightly overcooked. The apple cobbler dessert with ice cream was good.
Enjoyed lunch inside at well-spaced tables. Server "Priscilla" wore mask and was excellent and made our birthday celebration special. By the time we left there were many people sitting at well-spaced tables on the patio (it was in the shade when we arrived and, due to the cool temps, not an option). We'll definitely be back soon!
The food was amazing and our server was wonderful. Everything we ate was truly delightful. I highly recommend the bruschetta and French onion soup. It was also a great value for the price. Will definitely be going again.
The staff were very friendly and the food was good. It was our anniversary and we were given a complementary dessert to share. We will be back
We were celebrating completion of our COVID vaccinations.
We had wonderful service and great food and drinks.
Food was good. Service could’ve been better. We had a 8:45pm dinner reservation. I guess restaurant loses at 9. Felt rushed to order food and to be able to enjoy dinner. I also
Mentioned that it was my boyfriends bday and Didier all about it. When I rekindled them they said they were sorry and didn’t como the dessert we ordered.
Great adaptation to COVID limitations by using the adjacent art gallery. Great evening!
