Great food and vibe. Will definitely go again
A great first experience at this restaurant. Exceptional service and delicious food!
Food was just okay. I've had lunch here (before Covid) and it was really good. Maybe we hit it on an off night. Service was excellent though!
Amazing ambience and the food was dynamite. Truly a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
Great food for a good price! Always great service and love the location!
Food was good. Service was good. Best part was the online reservation.
We were very impressed with both the menu, quality of food and service. I highly recommend.
The ribs were a little too spicy for one of my guests but my medallions of Elk were excellent.
Service was excellent in a packed house! Started with charcuterie plate and wild river salad, both outstanding. Entrees were Salmon and Elk medallions cooked to perfection. Followed it up with bread pudding for dessert. Great food and attentive service made for the perfect meal to start 2022.
Very good food, service, and overall new year experience! Only complaint was it felt a little rushed. Meals came a little too quick.
Great food and great great service, as always. Just wish we would have went somewhere else for our first wedding anniversary. Not great seating and not great ambiance. We were first sat at a table for 6 between the kitchen and bar door, then a random back room table for 4 in the corner. You would think after booking a table for our first wedding anniversary we would have something nice, but we definitely felt like an after thought. I booked the reservation 2 weeks in advance.
We were looking for a place for dinner on New Years. They offered a fixed price menu at $90/plate. Presentation was good, but quality lacking. Reminded me of a catered meal you'd get at a wedding reception...good enough but very forgettable. Granted it was New Years, but spending $90/plate for a forgettable meal didn't leave a great impression.
Table we got sat at was in a corner by the back doors with a partition covering the doors. It was freezing and the table was not steady. Asked to move and was accommodated to a nice table by the window. Server was awful. Slow, no personality, and we had to ask and remind him for things we were supposed to get with our meal. No steak knives for our steaks. Food was awful. Bland, no flavors snd made 0 sense. Shrimp bisque was like straight cream with a seafood taste and sooo salty. It was all very disappointing.
Love Wild River Grill for any occasion. I most recently had dinner there on New Years Eve. Excellent service and consistently superb food, along with magical ambience.
We dined at Wild River Grille early on New Years Eve. The fixed price menu offered excellent dishes which were all tasty. The wine list had a good selections at multiple price points. The servers were friendly and professional.
Our waitress was great. Good was AH-MAY-ZING. Been here a few times and everything is always wonderful!
Excellent food and service. I look forward to this place every time we are in town.
Great picture and fantastic food!
We made a reservation, but didn’t get placed in the most festive room, so I was disappointed from the get go. The drinks were great, but the food fell short of its 25+ dollar cost per entree cost. I’m still looking for a great restaurant in Reno.
Wild River Grille is standard bar-grille fair. We choose mussels, scallops, salads and signature meatloaf. The grille was vibrant, clean and service was great. The reason for four stars was location and meatloaf was not exceptional. Mussels are tasty and would certainly order again.
Great place. The food was good, the service was good. We will come back to eat again.
Always enjoy dining @ Wild River. Servers are attentive. Servings are ample. Downside - split plate charge. Dessert? Must try the bread pudding! Outstanding!
It was great! We always enjoy Wild River Grill!
Great service, food and atmosphere
Always very happy with the service and the quality of food at the Wild River. Totally recommend!
Overall an okay place, service is efficient but any issues with orders or dissatisfaction is met with an apology but no attempts to remedy. Steakhouse prices without the ambiance, quality and service. Good wine selection, central location provide some value.
Wild River Grille is consistently good. Great food, friendly staff and a perfect place for a meal before the theater.
We both had the short rib Mac ‘n cheese, me for the second time. Both times, the short rib was cold. The flavor and tenderness was so good, however, that this time I didn’t even bother to tell our server.
Great dish -just would like the meat to be at least warm.
Excellent lunch menu. Prompt and friendly service.
Dropped in for dinner before a show. Food was great, service was great.
My husband and I had dinner after a Reno Philharmonic Spirit oh the Season concert. We arrived 25 minutes earlier than our reservation. The hostess sat us at a table right away.
My husband and I shared a Caesar salad, he ordered spicy shrimp pasta and I had mushroom ravioli, everything was excellent and we enjoyed it all with a nice bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. Service was impeccable by all the staff! The atmosphere was very festive with holiday decorations! After a fabulous concert that gave us with a Christmas high, Wild River Grill was a perfect finish to that afternoon.
We’re already planning a return visit in January to celebrate a birthday.
Nothing to complain about. We'll go back again and again.
We had a fantastic meal, along with fantastic service. Would like to return in spring to see the real beauty of the River Walk.
Server was responsive. Good experience.
We had been to this restaurant on two prior occasions and both times we and our guests enjoyed our meals and the overall experience, which is why we selected it for a third time. However, we were very disappointed. The service was extremely slow and our meals came out at different times which makes for an awkward dining experience. One of the four of us received a cold meal, like they had forgotten about it in the kitchen. They then just re-heated the food, instead of firing a new steak! Not good. They took a small percentage off the bill but they should have comped that meal. I'm hoping they were just short staffed and having an off night, but based on this latest experience I don't think we will go back.
Passed by this place too many times to count! So glad we finally dined here, you won't be disappointed!
Need to correct their menu pricing on open table. Way off current prices. Ribeye listed at $36 -now $48.
Absolutely perfect and delicious! We will be going back soon.
25th Wedding Anniversary
Very disappointed in the experience. Our table was not in the restaurant — it was in the “store” next door. About 6 or 7 round “banquet-style” tables were set up. The noise level was very high, which made conversation very difficult. Our main course took over an hour to be served. Other diners who arrived well after us were served before we were. The Elk Medallions were cut up into small pieces and looked more like tips than medallions. They were also well done even though I ordered medium. The elk was so tough, I could hardly chew it. The vegetables that came with the elk were also overcooked. My friend’s Trout Almondine had no almonds at all. We spent almost 3 hours there due to the delayed arrival of the food. (We had been told that dining was limited to 90 minutes.). The waiter did apologize for the wait and took a round of drinks off the bill, which was appreciated. A man, whom I believe may have been a manager, did ask about our food, but when I told him about the elk issues, he just said, “Oh, that’s too bad.”. I would have expected a better response and maybe even an offer to comp the dish, or at least discount the price.
Overall, this was a disappointing evening, especially since we hadn’t been out with these friends for many months.
