Wild Rita's Modern Mexican & Tequila Bar
Well they are closing their doors, so that review will be pointless. Good food.
Really, really, really going to miss this place! Hope it comes back!
Took the best burrito off the menu, bring it back!
Queso came out already congealed, food was marginal. This place needs to do something about its acoustics, way too loud to have conversation st your table without yelling. Our service and margarita were good.
Best margaritas and guacamole! Glad they decided to open for Cinco de Mayo on a day they’d otherwise be closed on!
Was so pleased with everything! Food was delicious and service great. Will definitely return!
Queso was yummy, so was fire roasted salsa. Had fish tacos- fried were good, but didn’t care for blackened. Drinks were really strong and delicious. Also my friend had a tostada and loved it.
Great food and very good service at 7PM on a very busy Derby Eve. This place consistently delivers a very good to excellent overall experience whether for a weekday lunch or busy weekend evening out.
Great margaritas and service. Entries were good and really big.
First time in. Loved everything about Wild Rita’s!! We will be again and again and again.
Happy hour margaritas were yummy! Guacamole was the best, great chips too! Service was excellent, didn’t have to ask for anything, he was on it!
Wild Rita’s is listed as authentic Mexican, however in our opinion it was really Tex-Mex which was disappointing. We felt it was good -not great.
Server and host were very friendly:)
Thank you for a wonderful graduation day meal! We were a table of 7, started with pork rinds, guac and queso plus margaritas and ended with everything from fajitas, quesadillas, burrito, tacos, mini chimichangas, street corn and a torta! Everyone loved their choices and we all left happy and full. 🐽
WE are thrilled you enjoyed your experience!
The food was great. After waiting longer than those around me for our food. The service was terrible. I also had an issue with how I was charged after the fact.
Great food well presented and a wonderful helpful waiter that explained how food was prepared and recommended his favorite dish. I ordered his favorite and LOVED it.
Thanks for the kind words!
We love Wild Rita's. Cocktails, guacamole, queso, salsa all very good as usual. Taco platter and chili rellenos were very good. Prices are very reasonable. Our waiter was attentive, but not overly friendly or engaging. If you haven't been, give it a try. We will be back.
Glad you loved the product and hope we can improve the service next time!
Quick service and delicious food. Margaritas are obviously great here. Taco plate comes with a lot of food, probably the best value on their menu. Chicken flautas appetizer is also very good as it’s paired with a bed of greens to balance out the fried flautas. Recommend both!
Eating here was a great experience! It was our first time and there is little doubt that we will return although we live about 90 minutes away! Two things I would improve upon. One is the queso which was not good at all. The second is the size of the margarita's. We had 3 different kinds and a total of 8 of them but at $9 each they were delicious but very small. Too small for a restaurant that prides itself on its food AND drink.
Great black beans.
Nice atmosphere. Tasty cocktails. The short rib nachos will bring me back very soon.
Saw the good reviews on various sites and decided to give it a shot. The drinks were good as was the food. Staff was attentive and ensure we had what we needed. Frequent checks at the table if we needed anything as well knew when to ask if we wanted more. Had the fajitas which came with shredded chicken. Was good but I prefer grilled. My wife had the tacos and got the chicken, short ribs and steak. The short ribs and steak were really good. Give them a try on your next visit to Louisville.
Great meal for a party of 8: good food, good service, and great cocktails. We’d definitely come back!
Definitely go to Wild Rita’s for the happy hour specials between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. Half price quesadilla or tacos and $4 Casa Ritas. My best friend and I ate quesadillas with street corn as our side. Delicious!!! Casa Ritas were on point! I will return to this restaurant.
My sons birthday. It was submitted to open table , but nothing was done or ever brought up. Oh well life goes on. Im talking about at the restaurant just FYI.
It was very good. Fun atmosphere and solid gourmet type Mexican approach. Good service. Nothing bad to report.
Really like Wild Rita's I've been several times now and the food and service is always good- Great margarita's I loved the blood orange. For something really different try their spin on shrimp and grits- totally different than the traditional, with a spicy kick- but my favorite on the menu.
Great as usual!
Had a great time.
By far, The Best Mexican Restaurant in all of Louisville. The food is excellent and the staff is even better! Great value and great atmosphere. Can't wait to return to Wild Rita's!
Neat place! Good food!
Great Salsa, Margarita’s, and Tacos! Will definitely be back!
They have an awesome margarita. We usually go for happy hour and load up on guacamole and other appetizers. Sometimes it gets a bit loud there, but it is a fun place to eat before a show.
Great Food and Great Service!!! Close to the YUM Center! I have eaten there before U of L games and Concerts! Love this place!
I received a quick and quality service during my visit
Queso was barely warm. Asked for it to be warmed up. When it was returned, it was no warmer than before. Ordered pork chop for second time. First time it was great. This time it was tough and not as flavorful. Even the Wild Rita was not as tasty as usual. Maybe they just had an off night. Has always been good before.
Excellent Food and Service. They offer the happy hour prices for drinks in the restaurant also. Would be nice if they would also offer the happy hour food prices in restaurant also rather than just at the bar. Its really nice they also offer parking!
Great server. Food is always on point. But it’s always too loud in there!
We love Mexican food and were excited to try this place after reading all of the reviews. However, we found everything to be either too salty or no flavor. My husband had to take the sauce off his food to be able to eat his meal and it was still salty. I gave it a two star on food because I had the tacos and one of them was delicious, one was too salty, and one had no flavor to it.
Food was horrible
The margaritas are very good. However, the bar area space is small so it’s hard to enjoy a drink when waiting for a table. Once seated the service was very good. We all ordered the 3 taco plate option because of the variety. Everyone was pleased with their choices and amount of food.
