Wild Goat Bistro - Petaluma Ratings and Reviews
This was our stop on the way back from visiting four wineries. It was perfect place to eat. We order four kinds of pizzas to share and brought a bottle of wine from our winery adventure. We all shared salads and they were great. I especially loved the blue cheese one. Our waitress was great. Would definitely eat here again.
We have eaten at Wild Goat several times and love the food and service. For someone who must be gluten free this is a top of line restaurant. Our only complaint is the seating. Tables are placed next to each other. For two people dining, it is not comfortable to be seated with others. Also, we had a reservation for five and were offered a larger table that was shared with another party.
I've been here many times and it's always good. The room is a little cramped so we sat outside this time and it was quite pleasant. I particularly liked the fact that our server was just fine with our rather modest orders during this visit. It was a business lunch not a feast as it usually is here. Just as pleasant and efficient as always which is not always the case in other restaurants. I like this place a lot.
This was our first experience dining at the Wild Goat Bistro and it was one of the best meals we've had in this historic, beautiful town in our many visits. It's a cosy, but comfortable place inside a large building. The menu offered a wide range of tasty options for both the meat eaters and the vegans. Service was excellent and friendly and the food came out at just the right pace. There as a nice selection of well chosen wines available and the deserts were not to be missed. We highly recommend this restaurant!
I thought the location was quite quaint and the food delectable. Nested on a side street by the Petaluma River, Wild Goat is a local gem not to be missed. I loved the Hippie Cesar and Quinoa Sweet Potato Cakes. I would return to try other plates - but will feel very tempted to continually order these star dishes instead. Great for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores alike. Everyone left happy and satisfied!
We had a fun time, enjoyed the atmosphere and the overall experience. The staff was very caring, attentive and sincere. Appreciated the portion sizes and though my filet was a bit well done, the rest of the meals was very well prepared and the presentation was immaculate. One of my favorite restaurants in Petaluma.
Starter of crab dip pretty bland. The mains arrived halfway through the app! The main course of rabbit was extremely tough and tasteless - and at $28 not acceptable. According to our server the rabbit was sautéed - doesn't work - rabbit needs slow braising. After some discussion they offered two comp glasses of wine and dessert, however I said that we didn't want dessert and after more discussion they removed the mains from the bill. Comp dessert doesn't work for me - they have to get the meal right first time because your whole night is spoiled when you get bad food.
We eat here 1-3 times per month- varies whether it is dinner or late lunch. We tend to migrate towards late lunches so we can sit outside. Inside is 'cozy' but slightly loud- my husband can't hear well- so we can not converse on a busy sat night dinner time. Great food, great service
Fantastic dining experience! Truly unique food and flavors. Amazing gluten free options. Definitely the best gluten free cake I've ever had. Also try these amazing gluten free items: the popcorn shrimp and the polenta fries. I highly recommend the place for its creative and delicious meals.
After making reservations, we still got lost, called we would be running late - they held our table! When we arrived (found parking directly in front, lucky for us) they immediately seated us and from then on we totally enjoyed our lunch and dessert, too! Fabulous!
Owner Nancy has done an outstanding job of building her business. The Wild Goat Bistro is a Petaluma Gem!! Her food and service are always top-notch and they will go out of their way to accommodate your requests. Every item on their menu can be ordered Gluten-Free. #favorite
