Wild Goat Bistro - Petaluma
We love this place. Great food, locally sourced, wonderful menu and excellent service.
We met a new relative who came to Petaluma especially for dinner. We were seated in back windowless room that smelled like the dish room.
Not great this time around. Food was ok but not stellar. Risotto was just ok. Strong smell of bleach entering the rear dining room. Service just ok. Maybe early on a Monday night is not the best time to come. Standard is typically much higher so this may be an anomaly.
Great service and delicious and uniquely pizzas. Lots of energy.
Good place for a local fresh meal. Great wine selection, vegan and carnivore meals too.
Eating at Wild Goat Bistro never disappoints! I love that it is not a problem to have to be gluten free-almost the entire menu can be made gluten free. The specials are always delicious as well as the salads. I always look forward to ending my meal with the best carrot cake (no one would ever guess it is gluten free).
Great location, Stellar service, culinary perfection and THE best vegan options in the area.
Consistently fresh delicious food!!
So wonderful to have a restaurant that offers inventive and delicious food with gluten free and vegan options! Would come here all the time if we lived nearby!
This is my second visit in the last few weeks. I think that the food is just ok. Yesterday I had lunch there, and even though
I was still sipping on my glass of prosecco I got the feeling that they needed the table by the looks that we got from the woman with the white spiky hair.
As it turned out there were three friends of ours sitting across from us. One woman was sitting there alone for about 10 minutes
Before the others arrived. They had a a table for four, and at some point before the last person arrived., the same woman very rudely asked “Are you going to be using this table or not”?!!! At this point, they were very hungry or else they would have left.
Maybe she was having a bad day as I saw her be short with one of the waitresses as well.
Wild Goat does have quite a few patrons, but I myself as well as a few others will not be returning.
Great place to go for dinner! Tasty food that appeals to many different tastes and diets.
We had a wonderful birthday celebration. We enjoyed some great food, received excellent service (as we always do) and relaxed in the wonderful ambiance.
My girlfriend and I wanted to celebrate my upcoming birthday. I requested a table near the window which the hostess accommodated. We ordered the romaine, blue cheese, walnut & cherry salad which was delicious. We shared a pizza of sausage, pepperoni & bacon. It was excellent.
Service is always friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Wild Goat especially for lunch. Reservations a must during the lunch hour.
Intimate, relaxed atmosphere; locally sourced foods/ingredients; delicious!
While I love going to Wild Goat, this last experience ended on s bad note. Someone made the poor choice to order and then have the kitchen cook onions and or garlic in such s profuse amount that my eyes were watering and my dessert was somewhat ruined. In such close quarters to your diners I’m left wondering what dish could possibly be worth putting your diners through that experience. Please rethink the menu on that. Lastly my salmon was not completely cooked through and I did not want to trouble the server to have it corrected, Minor occurrence, yet something to watch. Servers were friendly and the restaurant was not
We love this place! The front main room can be too noisy for us so we specifically asked for a table in the back room. It was perfect and not too noisy! The service was warm, attentive, but not hovering! The food was tasty and cooked perfectly. Our burgers were medium rare, as we liked and the flavor was excellent. The bun was soft enough to get in your mouth! 😋 The pizza with the fig spread and cheese and bacon was the BEST! We enjoyed he Cobb salad, too. Nice small lettuce leaves and filled with avocado, egg, cheese and bacon! Well balanced!
My halibut meal was outstanding! It melted in my mouth and the dessert was fabulous!
Loved my meal!
Good variety on the menu, food is nicely presented. I would have to say though that I was surprised that no bread was provided or offered with the pasta dish that 3 in our party ordered.
The largest and best selection of gluten free food in the Bay Area! Fantastic gluten free cakes, salted chocolate caramel is my favorite followed by the hazelnut chocolate cake. Hippie Caesar salad is phenomenal. My husband and I have not had a bad meal there ever. And they have dog friendly seating both inside and out.
Food was fresh and prepared beautifully. Great tastes and service. And not crazy expensive.
Love this place, cozy atmosphere and amazing food. If only the service was as good as the food this place would need to open a much larger location. Host was scrambling and looked overwhelmed and server was unattentive. But the food, oh my the food. If you can handle the noise and a server that doesn't really care you will enjoy it like me.
We had a delicious dinner and topped it off sharing a piece of their delicious lemon cake. Always a great place to grab a delicious meal.
Food is ALWAYS delicious. Service is terrific. It's so much fun to sit at the counter and watch the kitchen. Best show in town.
I had the Calamari Steak for dinner and the carrot cake for desert. The food was delicious, well presented and tasty. Excellent service and lovely well lit cozy dinning room. Couldn't have asked for a better dinning experience.
Our waitress was curt, to say the least. It was elbow to elbow. A quarter of the menu was not available. My bag kept getting knocked to the ground by waiters because there’s literally NO ROOM. My date couldn’t even gesticulate due to space. Had the waitress been more of a personality, it probably wouldn’t have mattered. She seemed above her job in attitude. Lucky her that I wasn’t the tipper that evening. The food is great though.
Amazing as usual
Quality of food is wonderful thank you
Outstanding food - and really accommodating for those who are gluten free. Charming vibe.
Shared the beet salad, short ribs and a 'wild things' pizza - all wonderful. We were seated in the front room, wonderful wooden room, cozy setting with small tables. Our server was friendly and attentive, providing great recommendations.
Love this place! Digits is always delicious I so appreciate how creative they are with food.
What creative dishes...the polenta "fries" were delicious. My dining partner had the fish tacos which he rated highly. The service was good and the food arrived timely. The wait staff were helpful and did not hover but checked in at the right times. The outstanding dish was the lemon cake which was exquisite.
Wild Goat Bistro is consistently wonderful in every aspect. The hostess who greeted us was very friendly and helpful. We sat outside in a lovely setting and we were waited on by a delightful server. My partner had the Tuna Rustica sandwich and he loved it. It looked very unique and interesting. I liked that the mayo wasn't mixed into the tuna - the server said it had a vinaigrette dressing mixed in with the tuna etc and the mayo was just on the bread. Next time I will order his sandwich with no mayo on gluten-free bread (which they offer as an option). My polenta fries were excellent as usual and we shared the gluten-free german chocolate cake for dessert (so good!). Their fresh lemonade is the best around and the coffee is also great. I always love coming back to Wild Goat!
Excellent food- good, friendly service. Able to accommodate my cousins service dog.
Great family birthday dinner!
Food and service were very good. Hot, smokey and noisy atmosphere though.
This was my first time dining here and I must say, the food was fantastic. I am vegan and was pleased to see the many options I had. My coworkers were weary about the food as they love their meat, but were surprised at how delicious their burgers were. The ginger lemonade was incredible. I am not a big fan of ginger or lemonade in general, but the two paired together was phenomenal. Will definitely be coming back when my boyfriend is back in town (I told him how delicious it was and that he NEEDS to try it.)
Overall a very pleasant experience!
Good food and service
Nice lunch. Good food and very good service!
Took my mom out on a date and had a really nice meal and time. Food was delicious as always and I love that there are vegan and gluten free options. The wine list is really great too. Highly recommend!
Very nice main course, great pork chop, nicely prepared and presented, great place, get a table in the front
This place has a nice informal atmosphere, with amusing "goat art" adorning the walls. Unfortunately most of the food was disappointing, including the watermelon salad (a special). The most important element – the watermelon – was mediocre (not very sweet and carelessly cut up, with white rind visible on several pieces). This fruit is at its peak right now; there's no excuse for featuring it in a rather expensive salad, then failing to deliver. My vegan friend was excited to try this place because it offers several vegan dishes. She had the avocado pineapple gazpacho and the quinoa sweet potato cakes, both of which she described as just okay without going into detail. I had the short ribs, which were excellent. It was a hot day and we agreed that neither the beer nor the prosecco was cold enough – a pet peeve of mine. The carrot cake was excellent. I'm sorry to say that I probably wouldn't go back.
