Wild Goat Bistro - Petaluma
polenta sautéed w/ pesto / topped w/grated parmesan / served w/ roasted red pepper sauce
King salmon entree delicious with crispy skin on salmon, and cooked perfectly with scalloped potatoes and spinach and a wonderful light sauce to enhance flavors. My husband had steak entree, grilled to perfection, and very flavorful The beet salad had beets with an interesting texture and lacked flavor. Too bad, for the micro greens and dressing were very good.
They have a very good variety of menu choices, and the pizzas looked delicious.
The outdoor seating was comfortable and spaced for Covid precautions.
Enjoyed our meal. We will differently be back.
Everything was enjoyable.
We had a an enjoyable lunch. We both had sandwiches the tuna and chicken. I would be interested in trying their pizzas. I'll go again. I did think prices were a little high, but Petaluma unfortunately has become a trendy.
Mother’s Day Dinner
Food was great. Would recommend veganaise and not tahini in so many dishes but still awesome
Drove in from out of town and went to this restaurant for dinner. The food was delicious, full of flavor and creativity. We sat outside around 6:30 pm and the weather was perfect. Only downfall of sitting outside is the chairs, but not gonna ruin it.
We had an enjoyable evening, good food and attentive waitstaff. The polenta fries were a yummy hors d’oeuvre, dishes well prepared.
Food is fantastic many gluten free options, service was excellent
Staff was friendly and service was timely. We didn’t feel rushed and courses were served at a good pace
Wonderful location, ambience , service and amazing food .
Never disappointed :)
Great! I’ve eaten here quite a few times before, but it was the first visit for my two dining companions. They both enjoyed the food as well... and said they would return. We had the seasonal pizza and a hamburger. Tasty as always.
It was my first time at Wild Goat Bistro. The pizza and caesar salad were delicious! Thin crust on the pizza and their own creative twist on the caesar. We topped it off with a slice of carrot cake, which was incredibly fresh and delicious! Casual and quiet setting. A winner!!!!
5 overpriced dry sandwiches and one burger that my kid scoffed at. Chowder did not taste as advertised (and served out of what appeared to be baby food jars). We went to Wendy’s afterwards to feed my kid. Dude, the burger was like 15 bucks! If you’re gonna do a burger, do it right! Given this place a lot of chances. Used to be good but over time quality has vanished.
The best salad, polenta fries and lemonade I have had in a LONG time!
Sat outside and had my food delivered hot, which is perfect since COVID we are a distance from the kitchen. Our waitress Marina was delightful. I am not Vegan but the vegan dish was excellent and I would order again!
expected better presentation than a mini boxed carton of potato salad next to a burger on a hoagie roll.
We enjoyed our night at your restaurant we were pleased with the food service and the fact we could bring our little dog with us . My wife was excited about the healthy menu and it was a nice place to spend our anniversary post COVID vaccine .
First thing the server said when we sat down: are you ready to order? The kitchen closed at 8:00.
Our reservation was for 8:00. I understand COVID has been challenging but don’t take 8:00 reservations if you want to close the kitchen at 7:45 or 8:00. Food was ok. Nothing special and definitely overpriced.
Had high hopes but would not recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.
Wild Goat never disappoints. Took my girlfriend to dinner for her birthday and it was delicious as always.
We frequented Wild Goat before tha pandemic, and this was our first time back since everything started back in March of 2020. Safety-wise, the restaurant had its act together. Good precautions in place, good socially distanced tables, etc. We felt safe, and the wait staff was fantastic. They were the saving grace.
The food, however, was lacking in our family's opinion. The gluten-free options have dwindled over the past few years, which was a primary reason our family visited. And now the menu even clearly states that they are not a GF restaurant and warns of possible cross-contamination, thereby undermining your confidence in the few menu items still marked GF.
I got the burger, ordered as GF, which means burger on GF bread. The bread was stale, burger underseasoned, and I didn't get any bacon with it, which was supposed to come with it based on the menu. It was also too thick to bite because the burger wasn't flattened enough on the grill.
Taste was meh. I desperately wanted to like the dish more because it was our first time out in more than a year, wanted to have a great special occasion, but honestly, just not that good overall anymore. And still quite pricey all things considered. Compared to the quality of the food a few years ago, Wild Goat is more like a sleepy tortoise now.
The Chick-a-Luma sandwich was delectable; the chicken pared with the honey crisp apples, gruyere and pesto aioli was perfect and the sour doe roll was the best. We had a glitch with our order but our wait person promptly handled the situation in a kind efficient manner.
Always a favorite and now open with an outdoor tent. Excellent food.
Wild Bistro is always a great choice. The outdoor dining was perfect as was the meal.
As always, a great dining experience. Add to that a beautiful, sunny day and you have got a winner!
Friendly staff, great service and tasty food.
I love the Chopped salad and polenta fries!
we were seated outdoors in the "tent" and one of the servers spent an extreme amount of time talking to another customer who was seated on the left as one walks into the tent- her back was turned away from the rest of the patrons and she seemed not to care about anything except talking to this guy- telling him such things as she feels safer riding in a pickup truck and other trivial things
low rating on noise was due to the traffic that was roaring by and how much ambiance can one have in a tent in the outdoors?
Food was good and glad to see them open again as we have eaten there many times
The ambiance and vibe just wasn’t the best. We felt the server and the people she seated next to us were very judgy. Won’t be back. But that’s typical service for Petaluma
Always excellent experience here. Friendly and efficient good food
We requested to have two tables of 4 next to each other because you couldn't reserve table for 8. When we arrived we were told in a short manner that our request couldn't be accommodated. Since we were the party of 4 with a dog, we were placed at the end and far away from any heat lamps. When we asked if we could move to a table with a heat lamp that was not occupied, we were told, NO. When we asked if the heat lamp could be moved closer to us, we were told, NO.
We noticed a nearby table for 4, but our friends were placed a far distance from us.
We ordered 4 entrees, and two servers (one in training) took our order. We then only received 3 entrees! When we inquired about the missing entree, the server insisted that we only ordered 3 and failed to apologize implying it was our fault. We finally got the third entree and were comped it. The bill showed 4 entrees and one price reduction for the comp bill, which was further evidence that we had ordered all four and thought it was unnecessary and rude for the servers to claim otherwise.
Overall, food was excellent. Service was brusque, rude and unaccomodating and it appeared as it the wait staff was understaffed.
I love this place, the only thing they ran out of pizzas
We had a big group we got excellent service the food was delicious everyone liked the beverages.
food is delicious-really like all their gluten free cakes
Great afternoon lunch!!!
We ate outdoors in the tented area. Wild Goat Bistro managed to make the experience very pleasant. The environment was better than at many restaurants who attempt outdoor seating. There were heat lamps but it would have been nice if there were a few more. The tent is in the parking lot. If the want to take the next step and really make it nice they should consider some role out carpets. Ambiance matters. The food was great. The service was great.
Outstanding in every way-foodie heaven, from vegan to carnivore. We met friends and wanted an outdoor, kid-friendly venue. Wild Goat Bistro delivered. All of our dishes were outstanding, both in flavor and presentation. From individual pizzas to salads to the veggie burger (don't normally like them at all, but I'd order this one on purpose in the future), everything was a hit. And don't skip the German Chocolate Cake for dessert either.
Just be patient with the service: everything takes a while, so just expect that they won't be dropping your orders on the table lightning-quick. But when you see how everything is plated, how gorgeous the presentation is, you'll know why. We're used to San Francisco prices and were pleasantly surprised that our bill was a solid 50% less than what we'd pay for comparable food in the City. Well done, Wild Goat Bistro. We'll be back!
The artichokes on the pizza had tough outer stems that had to be spit out. The potatoes with the chicken were soggy and had no flavor. The chicken was flavorful.
First meal out two weeks after second vaccination
Food was excellent, outdoor seating feels fairly safe with partial tent. The tent flapping at exit area was annoying - need a way to keep it from flapping in a light wind. We were able to get moved to a different table which was great. We asked for red pepper twice and never got it - service could have been a little more attentive. Overall have been here a few times and will definitely go back. I had the sweet potatoe quinoa cakes - really yummy!
