Wild Goat Bistro - Petaluma
polenta sautéed w/ pesto / topped w/grated parmesan / served w/ roasted red pepper sauce
As always, a great dining experience. Add to that a beautiful, sunny day and you have got a winner!
Friendly staff, great service and tasty food.
I love the Chopped salad and polenta fries!
we were seated outdoors in the "tent" and one of the servers spent an extreme amount of time talking to another customer who was seated on the left as one walks into the tent- her back was turned away from the rest of the patrons and she seemed not to care about anything except talking to this guy- telling him such things as she feels safer riding in a pickup truck and other trivial things
low rating on noise was due to the traffic that was roaring by and how much ambiance can one have in a tent in the outdoors?
Food was good and glad to see them open again as we have eaten there many times
The ambiance and vibe just wasn’t the best. We felt the server and the people she seated next to us were very judgy. Won’t be back. But that’s typical service for Petaluma
Always excellent experience here. Friendly and efficient good food
We requested to have two tables of 4 next to each other because you couldn't reserve table for 8. When we arrived we were told in a short manner that our request couldn't be accommodated. Since we were the party of 4 with a dog, we were placed at the end and far away from any heat lamps. When we asked if we could move to a table with a heat lamp that was not occupied, we were told, NO. When we asked if the heat lamp could be moved closer to us, we were told, NO.
We noticed a nearby table for 4, but our friends were placed a far distance from us.
We ordered 4 entrees, and two servers (one in training) took our order. We then only received 3 entrees! When we inquired about the missing entree, the server insisted that we only ordered 3 and failed to apologize implying it was our fault. We finally got the third entree and were comped it. The bill showed 4 entrees and one price reduction for the comp bill, which was further evidence that we had ordered all four and thought it was unnecessary and rude for the servers to claim otherwise.
Overall, food was excellent. Service was brusque, rude and unaccomodating and it appeared as it the wait staff was understaffed.
I love this place, the only thing they ran out of pizzas
We had a big group we got excellent service the food was delicious everyone liked the beverages.
food is delicious-really like all their gluten free cakes
Great afternoon lunch!!!
We ate outdoors in the tented area. Wild Goat Bistro managed to make the experience very pleasant. The environment was better than at many restaurants who attempt outdoor seating. There were heat lamps but it would have been nice if there were a few more. The tent is in the parking lot. If the want to take the next step and really make it nice they should consider some role out carpets. Ambiance matters. The food was great. The service was great.
Outstanding in every way-foodie heaven, from vegan to carnivore. We met friends and wanted an outdoor, kid-friendly venue. Wild Goat Bistro delivered. All of our dishes were outstanding, both in flavor and presentation. From individual pizzas to salads to the veggie burger (don't normally like them at all, but I'd order this one on purpose in the future), everything was a hit. And don't skip the German Chocolate Cake for dessert either.
Just be patient with the service: everything takes a while, so just expect that they won't be dropping your orders on the table lightning-quick. But when you see how everything is plated, how gorgeous the presentation is, you'll know why. We're used to San Francisco prices and were pleasantly surprised that our bill was a solid 50% less than what we'd pay for comparable food in the City. Well done, Wild Goat Bistro. We'll be back!
The artichokes on the pizza had tough outer stems that had to be spit out. The potatoes with the chicken were soggy and had no flavor. The chicken was flavorful.
First meal out two weeks after second vaccination
Food was excellent, outdoor seating feels fairly safe with partial tent. The tent flapping at exit area was annoying - need a way to keep it from flapping in a light wind. We were able to get moved to a different table which was great. We asked for red pepper twice and never got it - service could have been a little more attentive. Overall have been here a few times and will definitely go back. I had the sweet potatoe quinoa cakes - really yummy!
First time dining inside for ages. Seating was well spaced. Service was attentive and sharing was not a problem. I was disappointed to see a service fee of 4% added to the bill. The menu clearly stated that this was their practice.
We just adjusted the 20% tip to 16%.
I had a nice experience. The food and service was great and they had an outdoor tent to shield from the street and still have outdoor dining. It was great catching up with a friend.
Nice location, good staff - although they missed an
item we ordered & we had to correct the issue- and the food was very good. Most appreciative of the Vegan choices for my 22 year old Son. Will go again!
Food tasty as usual. Wild mushroom pizza was outstanding. The salted caramel chocolate cake was outrageously delicious.
Wonderful. Friendly service. Delicious food. Highly recommend . We ate outside on a beautiful day and really enjoyed our meal.
GREAT food, attentive staff, very good COVID precautions (adequate table distancing, proper mask wearing by staff), and nice ambience.
Birthday. - made a special reservation for 7. Did this in person as open table didn’t allow.
But very accommodating.
Favorite lunch place in town!
Party of 4. While the food mostly tasted good, it was very overpriced for the portion size. Goat's Favorite Burger was $19 with an oversized bun and no flavor. The Pork Osso Buco was $28 and contained about 3 oz of meat and 10 oz of bone. The Wild Halibut was probably the best tasting dish but overpriced at $29. The Quinoa Sweet Potato Cakes were the best deal at $18 with good flavor and a tasty Brussel sprout slaw. An 8 oz bottle of Diet Coke will set you back $4. Beer was reasonably priced at $5-$6 per pint as well as the house white wine at $9. I would not recommend eating at this establishment unless you enjoy paying for overpriced food. To add insult to injury a 4% service charge is added to the already pricey bill.
The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The brussel sprout appetizer was delicious!
Loved the ambiance! The food was delish - can't go wrong with any of the Pizzas, even gluten free was tasty!
The burger was the best item we ordered. Good wine and beer list. Very nice and attentive staff. The brussel sprouts were way too salty.
Lovely atmosphere, gracious staff, extensive menu with local products.
We did not enjoy our dining experience here. Service was very distant and we were expecting a little bit more from our local downtown restaurant. The food was good but very expensive for short ribs, pasta and two small cheese pizzas . One glass of house wine. About $120 before tip..
Always a delightful experience with delicious food friendly service and a great vibe
We’ll be back ASAP
So nice to get out and enjoy a meal al fresco! Our waitress was lovely!
Very attentive server with good advice. Food was good -- salads and pizza. Desserts were very good by those who had them. We'll return to try their dinner menu.
Great food and excellent service comfortable outdoor seating!
We are only giving 2/5 stars because the quiet ambiance was a nice, warm setting and the bottle of wine we purchased was great - Seghesio Zinfandel. We ordered the polenta fries to start & thought they were very bland & unseasoned. For entrees we ordered the fig pizza and pappardelle duck dish- the pizza was warm, not hot, and the pasta dish was nothing special. Overall, we didn’t enjoy the food at all but what could have made the experience better was good service. Our hostess was very friendly & seated us in a heated area, but our server was not friendly or personable. I felt very unwelcomed by her and would not be dining here again.
The food is quite good: organic and gluten-free. The carrot cake is to die for! The short ribs were delicious!
Outdoor lunch with a friend. Perfect
We had a nice table for two outside… The food was good however my grilled cheese sandwich was very tough to eat. The bread really tears up your mouth. The flavor however was delicious. The potato salad was just so so. My friends sandwich she said it was very good as was the butternut squash soup.
It was good, always consistent. The chop salad was amazing and the bottle of wine was outstanding. It was my daughter’s 30th birthday and it was a relaxing lovely lunch.
As always WG delivers!
