The waiter was incredibly friendly and informed. Food was great. Atmosphere ok.
Great food, excellent service! Nice wine list too
Pretty good. Just a few quibbles. Has managed to maintain service over the years.
We just had an amazing meal. The food was spectacular. The service extraordinary. Matt, our server, was amazing. Gave him complete control of what we ate and drank and Matt did not disappoint. Spot on with his knowledge of wine and pairing it with each course. Enhanced our meal to a level that is unheard of in Seattle. Truly unbelievable. Thank you Matt for your wonderful, thoughtful service and to Wild Ginger for giving us an unforgettable dining experience. Extremely happy.
Somewhat disappointed since our last time there, a number of years ago. Food selections seemed more limited than what we remembered. Service was slow owing to onslaught of theatre-goers, according to our server. As soon as we sat down, 5:30 p.m., we were told that one of the special items had run out. Then after placing our order, and waiting quite a while to even receive our soup, we were told that one of the 2 entrees we ordered had also sold out. This led me to think that because we had 2 hours until theatre, our order was held off until guests who had earlier commitments than ours were moved ahead of the line. Just a thought; but not too far fetched. The ambiance/furnishings seemed old and dated. Perhaps a facelift would help. The proximity to Benaroya is a big plus, but we might try one of the other nearby restaurants next time.
I found the Laksa soup quite bland. The fish was beautifully fresh and tasty, but where is the spice for Malaysian food?
Also, the rice flour spring rolls were too pineapple/fruit-forward for my taste, and were mostly rice flour and not enough filling ingredients.
Stopped in for dinner before a show at Benaroya Hall, The table for two right by the front window was nice and quiet, away from the bar and from the two -floor open dining room. We enjoyed the kalbi beef skewers, spring rolls, tofu curry and duck with steamed buns--delicious! Service was prompt and attentive.
We went prior to a show at the Paramount. Server asked if we had a timeline to meet before taking our orders to make sure we got to our show on time. Split two mains and two vegetables among 5 women, with cocktails. It was perfect amount of food and everyone was thrilled with it.
Enjoy our table and servers very much. Food was great
The food was flavorful with great presentation. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. Location is very sterile but tall back booths help with noise level.
The food was excellent but the service was very slow. We were seated on the upper level, which may have impacted our service. Total time from seating until we walked out was one hour and 35 minutes, which seemed a bit long for a party of two who were not being leisurely. There was a lot of sitting around waiting for our waitress to come by, especially when we were trying to pay our bill so we could get to the theater on time.
Delicious as always.
Awesome Awesome. I hope they maintain the quality and bring kung pao and pad thai on the main menu. Servig size for the chicken dish is a bit small but the noodles and seven flavour beef/ princess prawns were excellent.
First, the Fragrant Duck was to die for!!! Fantastic dish! Get the large option you will not regret it! Second, the sauce with the potstickers was fantastic too. The spring rolls were not my thing, but the sauce was good. The crab & lobster dumpling soup was divine. A must have!
We always enjoy dinner at Wild Ginger but Friday night was extra special with the addition of a traditional dragon (or maybe it was a dog) dance for the first night of Chinese New Year. Great food, wine and fun!
Great food! Great service!
Server was attentive. Food was very good. Only complaint was I was charged $20 for a $12 glass of wine. Server fixed the bill once I pointed out his error.
I have not been to Wild Ginger since their original location so you can assume 20 years? While the menu and design are very different, the food is just as amazing as ever. If you are doing pre theater or symphony you can expect it to be quite busy. My group came in just after a mass exodus for the concert next door. Our server, Alex I believe, was knowledgeable and truly guided our dining experience. Meeting up with friends we hadn’t seen in several years, we would be taking forever to order. Alex jumped right in, made a few suggestions to start us off and we were good to go! Scallops amazing. Lettuce cups fresh and bright. For our entrees the Seven Flavor Beef and Chow Fun Noodles were the biggest hits. Skipped dessert in favor of one last round of expertly poured drinks.
Met up with my friends the next day and the first thing each of them said when they first arrived, “Dinner was amazing last night!”
No better recommendation that that.
Food was nothing special and didn’t equate to the price tag. The wine list was subpar for an “award-winning wine list”, and the craft cocktails we have were disappointing. This place stays really busy so they must be doing something really well but I wasn’t impressed by our Seattle dining experience unfortunately.
Service was very slow to start. After ten minutes without being acknowledged, no water, no offer of a drink, I got up to find someone to wait on us. And it was before the restaurant filled up.
Given that beginning, I told the server our time constraints. However we got our bill after the time we needed to leave.
Food was delicious as always.
