Hands down best spring roll and curry I've ever had!
The food was great, the service, though not rushed, could notch it up in noticing such things as more water, etc.
We arrived late due to traffic. They held our table for us. Service was prompt and our server listened carefully to our allergy concerns. The food was delicious and we definately will come back to enjoy a similar meal at a more leisurely pace .
We ate before the symphony at Benaroya Hall. Everything was wonderful and the wait staff was attentive without being smothering. We really enjoyed ourselves!
Never disappointed having dinner at the Wild Ginger, delicious, great service and a wonderful menu.
Wild Ginger still ranks as one of the best restaurants in Seattle.
The food was delicious, the service friendly and prompt, the ambience lovely and quiet. There were three of us and we had the Canton steamed fish, roast duck and the Seven Spice Beef. Also, the dessert of Olympic Mountain sorbet and ice cream was outstanding. Looking forward to going again!
Great place for dinner before a performance at Benaroya Hall. Our waitress was really friendly, service was quick, food was excellent. Restaurant was really noisy which was the only negative in our experience.
The server was excellent. The food was flavorful, but the lamb satay was tough.
Everything was delicious -- we had chicken satay, potstickers, pad Thai and Sichuan green beans. Our waiter, Sam, was attentive, friendly and efficient. Great place to share dishes family style.
Mother’s Day brunch served in bar area. AC was too cold
Mother’s Day Brunch
There were 8 of us who went for Mother’s Day brunch - a buffet at noon. The hot food was COLD - which quickly made a wonderful day turn into a brunch of complaints. It cost too much for the food to be cold. I believe we paid nearly $600 for all of us. Not worth it! Won’t be back!
Our server/ waiter was amazing, very attentive and courteous.
We always have a pleasant experience at Wild Ginger. The food is outstanding and the service terrific. There is always something new to try and their standards are simply wonderful. It would be difficult to have a bad meal there. We have been visiting the downtown location for many years and we never get tired of the flavors or the experience.
It was a great experience! Note that open table marked me as not showing up, but I did make my reservation
Husband enjoyed his lamb chops- cooked to perfection. I enjoyed the Paad Thai. We started with Siam Lettuce Cups. I thought they used Sea Bass but what we received seemed like it may have been something different. The lettuce cups were still delicious, regardless of the type of fish used.
Fabulous food and service. Had dinner with my wife and friend and all of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Fresh, different and wonderful in every way! Pleasant experience, great staff, easy, downtown location for vacationers.
My husband and I made a 5:30 p.m. reservation on Saturday May 11 for dinner prior to going to Beneroya Hall for a piano concert. We had ordered food and wine by 5:40; the wine arrived at 5:55 after having two empty glasses sitting on our table for 10 minutes. We were brought a chicken skewer appetizer at ~ 6:10, and then summarily ignored until we flagged the waiter at 6:30 p.m. We stated that our show began at 7 p.m. and that if the food was not served in the next 10 minutes we would have no choice but to leave. The waiter mumbled that the food was coming, but offered no real solution. At 6:40 my husband went to the front desk and asked for the manager, who arrived at our table with excuses that "the food is coming". After waiting an entire hour for dinner and mostly being ignored by our waiter we left the restaurant terribly disappointed and feeling that we we not valued at all as customers. I must note that my husband is a type 1 diabetic and must time eating to coincide with blood sugar levels and whether it is rising or dropping. By this time his blood sugar was well below 80 and moving into the hypoglycemic regime, which necessitated his consuming a quick breakfast sweet roll purchased at the counter kiosk in Beneroya Hall with 5 minutes to spare for seating. Although we have had Wild Ginger food at the Triple Door (next door live event venue) and loved it, we will never return to this restaurant.
We really love to go to Wild Ginger. We had a nice variety of dishes to share and no one left feeling unsatisfied.
What more can be said? Perfect 5 stars due to a perfect dining experience. The food, service, and ambiance were all off the charts. I would and do recommend Wild Ginger to friends. Must visit while in Seattle!
From the stressed hostesses to the overworked server it was clear the restaurant was understaffed creating an atmosphere of frustrated workers.
It took forever to learn whether the kitchen could accommodate a simple change to the menu. Another person in our party did not get served and we ended up simply canceling his order.
We absolutely will not return.
Service was slow and confused. We were seated late and our food came out entree first and appetizer last . Not the usual Wild Ginger experience.
The food is good as well as the presentation. the staff were all friedly and helpful. The quanities are generous too. That said, since everything is a la carte it's easy to rack up a sizeable tab. Oh, gotta love those ginger martinis!
My husband and I enjoyed our first evening out in a long time as we have a baby at home. We are so glad we chose Wild Ginger for this occasion! We shared the 7 flavor beef and chicken pad Thai. It was so delicious and the perfect amount of food along with a side of jasmine rice. It was one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time! The service was excellent, our waitress was so sweet, and our water glasses were always full! We will definitely be back!
Both our waiter and the sommelier gave us excellent suggestions and provided the best of service. The food and wine were as exceptional as they said.
I always enjoy WIld Ginger. I would recommend that anyone give it a try.
Made reservation, were left waiting with no contact for 20 mins. Food was totally average. I believe this restaurant survives solely on its location, not on its service or the quality of its food at all.....
It was our first visit, for our anniversary. Wild Ginger is a Seattle classic and did not disappoint. The food was extraordinary - the 7-flavor beef was the rock-star of our dinner. We also loved the Asian chicken salad and lamb chops. (The seafood noodles were a bit bland.) The flourless chocolate cake with whipped cream and orange zest was to die for! Be aware the noise level is “energetic.” We will request a booth next time to avoid larger groups. We will definitely go back and look forward to it!!
Great place to eat prior to going to benaroya for a show
Nice restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. Prices are Med to high but the food quality and flavor is very good.
Great food -- lots of it, too. Excellent service by knowledgeable wait staff. Reasonable prices. Great for before a concert.
Wide variety of non-meat options. Great server - Sam!
enjoyed the evening and had a great meal in Seattle - the service was perfect
Brought family from abroad here. They were shocked that sparkling water cost $8 per bottle, however the food was delightful. Some of the better Pad Thai i have had.
For a Saturday 7pm reservation for three, I expected a wait to be seated and served, but we were shown to our seats upstairs after a few minutes, with no noticeable delays in service. Our server was friendly, offered suggestions and checked up on us several times. Drinks came out quickly and appetizers arrived sooner than expected. We started with the Chicken Potstickers, which were the perfect temperature and texture, as well as the Chicken Wings which were nice and crispy. Even though the waiter apologized that the kitchen was a bit busy, our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. We were all happy with our orders of Seven Flavor Beef, Hanoi Tuna and Princess Prawns. For dessert, I highly recommend the fruit sorbets or coconut gelato, which are made by Gelatiamo across the street. Wild Ginger offered a pleasant, memorable experience all around. It was the perfect setting for conversation, with excellent food and service. Upscale without feeling too fancy, it would be a good choice for special occasions. Just be sure to make reservations and pad a little extra time if you're catching a show after dinner. If you arrive early, head next door for a cocktail at the Triple Door's Musicquarium Lounge.
Ryan was our waiter. We were late for our reservation due to traffic and had to be at the triple door in 30 minutes. Place was packed. Ryan steered us to the green papaya salad pot stickers and mussels. Got them out to us in no time. Salad was so good and the cilantro was a perfect addition. Pot stickers were to die for and my husband who has food allergies was in heaven with the salad and mussels. Kudos to Ryan. He’s a keeper. And 5 stars to Wild Ginger.
This time was not the same. Food was still good, but not great. 2 people ordered the duck which came dry and not as tasty as last time. I ordered the sea bass and it came 15 minutes after the duck! 15 minutes after the other entree!!! Our server was good but I had to ask him to check on the sea bass. I think he was embarrassed that it took so long! When it finally came to the table it was delicious but others were already nearly finished with the dry duck.
We were all disappointed in this visit and the food. This restaurant is good but it won't be on top of my list on my next visit.
Great food and fantastic ambiance. Recommended by my colleague who had been in Seattle before. This is a “must” if you are in town!
Not my favorite anymore. Portions are shrinking, service is only fair and they are batch mixing the most popular craft cocktails. I ordered one and said I only wanted it if it was freshly made. The came back and said it was mixed in a big batch. This is NOT what people in Seattle expect for $14 which comes to $20 with tax and gratuity. Shame on you Wild Ginger!
