White Orchids Thai Cuisine
We are proud to bring a unique dining experience to the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley. Using only the freshest ingredients, our Thai chefs blend their favorite flavors of Thailand"s cuisine with our family's very own. We cater to individual entree orders, and will also encourage your party to relish all facets of our menu by choosing from our family-style dining options which includes multiple appetizers and generous entrees for the whole table to enjoy.
Post movie light meal. Always a dependable stop for pleasant atmosphere, great service, great food, and happy experience. Thanks again !
The food took a bit and the music choice was interesting.
This is my mom, brothers, and my absolute favorite restaurant. They are fabulous at adapting their meals to people's individual dietary restrictions/needs. The food is outstandingly delicious every single time and the drinks are truly one of a kind. The owners and staff are so friendly, courteous and helpful. I sincerely cannot say enough good things about this place. It exceeds our expectations every time. Thank you!!!!!
We have diner here before and always been satisfied. This experience was not as good. The initial service was good and we liked our appetizers. However, the time it took to receive our entrees was very long. My wife and I liked our entrees but my daughter's Pad Thai was bland. The beef in it was like cardboard and the whole thing was pretty tasteless. The waitress was nice and seemed concerned about the time it took. I do not blame her because apparently something is going on in the kitchen that needs to be addressed. This was certainly not up to par with past meals.
As always a wonderfully well-rounded experience that left us quite pleased and satisfied. WO remains one of our most favorites.
I had the Pad See’ew with crab and shrimp and it was amazing! I also had dessert - grilled pineapple. What a delicious treat! I’m already looking forward to going there again. Matt did a wonderful job as our server.
It was amazing! the only thing was that we went there for dinner and it was almost pitch black in there it was very hard to see the menu because it was so dark.
Great anniversary dinner for my wife and I. Erika was fantastic!!
ALWAYS delicious, and GREAT service!!!
Favorite restaurant in the valley.
Great first visit. Great ambience and bar. Server was great. Menu is expanse. Spice level was by choice and soups and sides were very good. Bill of fare was reasonable.
The food is always excellent
Always excellent food and cocktails! We eat there often and have never been disappointed.
I knew the food and drink would be good, and I was not disappointed. I arrived around the end of happy hour, but my server honored the happy-hour price on a glass of wine and two appetizers. I'll go around that time again!
My wife and I can’t get out often so a Sunday night 8:30 reservation worked well (and we got there around 8:10). Restaurant was fairly empty (as expected) as only 2 other couples were there when we arrived. When we left, it was just us ((9:10pm).
Service: excellent - thank you Stephanie (but feel free to offer your recommendations for wine next time - that Malbec was tasty and I would’ve recommended it).
Food: phenomenal- my wife’s seafood mix pad Thai was excellently cooked and my Thai red curry is a standing favorite.
- the Calamari app is superbly breaded but needs seasoning. The sauce saves an excellently cooked calamari and the best heading ever but alone it wouldn’t stand against others in the Valley. (Our suggestion is to season that batter better and drizzle the sauce over the top with some carrot/scallion/caper)
- upgrade general amenity: the booth seat across from us (we sit side-by-side) was roped up. I expect that at a diner, not a restaurant where I spend over $100 for a dinner for 2.
- keep glass prices similar but offer cheaper bottle wine prices (and still clear 50+%profit on the wine
We’ll be back for the excellent food and service. Just a few suggestions. Thank you
It was a lunch date with friends. Our server was fantastic!!! We've done here together several times and its always great!
I highly recommend trying the Thai cuisine served at this restaurant. The food was fresh, flavorful and the service was on target. We went for lunch and reservations are recommended.
Iv been here often and normally really enjoy my meals. Saturday must have been an off night for the kitchen. My
Soup was cold and the Pad Thai had the flavor profile of buttered noodles.
Excellent meal with attentive but not overbearing service. Thai food was excellent and prepared with the specified hotness level. Very good!
Wednesday night get together and restaurant was busy but not overbooked. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. Calamari done just right, not rubbery. Money bags appetizer was slightly over cooked with one burnt on bottom which is reason for only four stars. Main dishes were all well presented and delicious. Always a favorite restaurant for me.
Food was great but service was unusually slow. Not sure if they were shorthanded or it was our server. Drinks took forever and the food even took longer.
Took my mom here for her birthday. I have been here several times. Overall, it is good Thai food in an elegant setting
We have been coming here for years, and this place never lets us down. So many choices to choose from, and it’s always fresh and amazing. The service as well is always top notch! Will be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience this past Saturday vending. . Our server, Christine, was pleasant and knowledgeable about ingredients. Our drinks were excellent and served in a timely fashion. The menu was extensive. The food was well prepared and very tasty.
It is our hope that White Orchids’ sister restaurant, Notch, will be able to up their game. After all, they have a great role model.
Love it here. Always good.
Highly disappointed and will never go back. Sat on the lovely outdoor patio looking forward to a birthday dinner but the service was horrific. The first sign should have been the length of time it took to get our drinks and that the server needed to make apologies. We spent the next hour watching table after table be seated, eat their meals and leave. After a half hour, our server lamely said she had checked on our order and it would be out shortly. After 45 minutes, she said the manager would be out to speak with us. Finally, over one hour later, the poor excuse for a manager came to our table and admitted they had dropped the ball. Our order had never been entered. He said he didn't want to come over until our food was actually in front of us. Sure, by then we were happy to have something to eat and foolishly accepted the 30% discount he offered. In retrospect, all three of our entrees should have been comped. I'm so mad at myself for not speaking up. The manager made no attempts during the whole time we waited to make amends. He put it on his waitstaff. Pathetic. This was a birthday to remember but not in a good way.
My second visit to this restaurant; enjoyed the Seafood Pad Thai again. Flavor and seafood are plentiful and delectable. Excellent service and nice ambiance on bar side of restaurant this time. Stag are knowledgeable and friendly and professional.
The food and service was excellent as always!!!!
Our overall experience was good. We have been coming to white orchid for a long time now, but both my wife and I felt the food was not up to the typical standards we know and love. Between our appetizers and main course, both were very under whelming. We don’t know if it was an off night or a new chief, this isn’t going to stop us from coming in , but if the quality is the same the next time we do come in it may be our last.
We always love White Orchids for a special occasion, and celebrated our 31st anniversary on this night for dinner. Our meals were outstanding, enjoying the Crab Fried Rice and Seafood PadThai. We started out with a delicious lightly fried Calamari as an appetizer, and the portion was huge! We ended the meal sharing a complimentary coconut rice and mango dessert. Perfect way to end our anniversary meal. Shout out to Becky for being a wonderful hostess, and our server, Courtney for taking great care of us. It was a perfect anniversary night! Very enjoyable evening.
Expensive but the food was great! Staff were friendly. Outside seating.
Staff was rude, and I felt like the restaurant was not clean.
My first time here for lunch. Last time for me. Overpriced, quality was okay, nothing worth coming back for.
Service we received was terrible. The waitress wouldn’t help us, she was very passive aggressive. We’ve been to this restaurant a few times but will not be going back.
I would not recommend White Orchids at this time. Dined there on Aug 12th for our 41st anniversary and were deeply, deeply disappointed.
Order the Pad Thai as my entree with seafood as the addition to my entree. The Pad Thai was either under-cooked or over-cooked. It was like eating leather shoelaces. So very, very chewy.
The seafood was almost non-existent. 3 shrimp and some lump crab meat. The little bit of crab was very tasty but the shrimp too was like rubber.
We did tell our waitress of our displeasure but asked her only to mention it to the manager after we left as we did not feel like making our anniversary dinner any more of a disappointment.
Even though this was our third visit at White Orchids for an anniversary celebration, my wife and I are undecided whether we will dine at White Orchids again. If we decide not to dine there again, we will not be hesitant to share our experience with others.
Good food, good ambiance - great weather to eat outside enhanced our experience too.
Great service from the moment we walked in.
We had a two-year-old with us out on the patio, so I’m hoping noise level was not too high for other diners. But dinner was delicious and very enjoyable. Waitstaff was very attentive; besides being delicious, food was hot. Baby was given candle to blow out on her ice cream. Loved it!
Great food as always. Friendly, responsive staff.
