Beautiful restaurant, but not impressed with the food.
Great crab sandwich and dessert!
Steaks over cooked
Sent them back
Took a long time to get replacements
Server was really nice but very slow
Food was good, biggest piece of fried chicken I have ever seen, came out piping hot but in my opinion lacked flavor. The side that it came with was good but bland, the best thing about the dish was the pepper jelly. We had the mac and cheese as an appetizer and that was really good! Service was slow even though the place was not busy at all. Décor and ambience was great!
My husband and I loved the decor and ambience. Our waiter Omar was nice, however, he spilled my husband’s beer all over his cap and mask that was on a chair. Our starter was really good and the cornbread was wonderful. However, my Entrée was NOT good! I had the short ribs which were extremely salty and cold! My fingering Potatoes were good but there were a few that tasted old but my side of collard greens were Delicious...my husband, however; enjoyed his dinner of grilled chicken and collard greens. Not sure if we’ll be back there.
My server Sam was fantastic we even ordered the prime rib he recommended. As always the braised short ribs are a YES they never disappoint I get them EVERYtime. I also brought a friend of mine and her mother for the first time they assure me they won't hesitate to be back. The deviled eggs are a little heavy on the Mayo but otherwise I will be back again as I am everytime I'm in town.
Service was slow. Food was just ok
Friendly, greeted at the door with a smile and very professional. The server was attentive, warm and looked Good! The menu was easy to read. Once our order was taken, it wasn't long before we were eating. Enjoyed the food. Atmosphere was Great!
My first time at this restaurant. Maitre D/Host was wonderful. Great waiter. He knew the menu well and made great recommendations.
The ambiance and food are excellent. We were a party of six celebrating a birthday. We dropped well over $500 during our visit. Our waiter, James, was surly and borderline rude. After shaming him a bit, he warmed up, but since he was getting a mandatory 20% tip for a party of six, he should've been much more warm, gracious, and customer-focused. We have been to WOK several times and have never experienced this type of service.
Food and service were fantastic!
Delicious food, friendly service Southern style joint…
We never got our food despite waiting 2 hours so can’t comment on that. Service was terrible
They were down a server or two and it took longer than normal, but our waitress Bridget was amazing. We weren’t in a rush, and we ended up staying a long time for appetizer, main course and dessert, but the food itself was phenomenal. Go when you have time to enjoy the meal - you will be glad you did!
The service could’ve been a little bit better. We waited entirely too long for our food.
The appetizers, desserts and cocktails were the highlights of our meal. Our entrees were very good just not as remarkable. We had fried chicken, pork tenderloin and the steak as entrees. We ordered charcuterie, side board and fried green tomatoes for appetizers. The Rose 75 cocktail was amazing, as was the pecan pie and Kentucky butter cake.
The food presentation was on point, and delicious. Our server did an excellent job.
Our server was great! The food was excellent. It was a nice outing for my mother as a pre-Mother's Day outing.
It was a Friday night. The bushy of our son’s master’s degree Fe aduation for Georgia Tech. We were seated in a busy area by the bar. It seemed to be understaffed. The waitress kept apologizing for the delays. She could not keep our water glasses full. The food was outstanding! But our waitress was overwhelmed with her business and we were left alone too much.
Edward - thank you for the review, and we are so pleased you enjoyed the food! We are working hard to add staff. If is very difficult as you may know. We would love to increase our staffing two or three fold! Thank you for joining us and we continue to look forward to improved conditions in our recovery from the pandemic. All the best, Cindy L owner.
Sam our server was excellent!! The Chilean Sea Bass was awesome.
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed your experience. Sam is new, and we will convey your review to him! Please join us again soon.
The service was horrible. They were out of 3 different wines ordered as well as the entry ordered. We were the last reservation of the night and very rushed. Would not return.
We had an 8 pm outdoor reservation. Table was ready when we arrived. It was a slow start to get water and service got worse over the course of the meal. The waiter was kind and apologetic and thanked us for our patience. We were there two hours for a dinner that should have taken an hour. Food was ok. Not good. Not bad. Average. My portion of grits was very large with 5 shrimp. My husband got the fried chicken and the diced potato hash was really good. Collard greens very ok - a little too much vinegar and salt. Rice atop the gumbo and as really crunchy as though not fully cooked or stale/dry. Food arrived and then we had to wait a bit for utensils. And then drinks took a long time. We had nearly finished dinner by the time our wine arrived. All the staff was polite so I don’t know if they were understaffed or why we had not a great meal. We come to Atlanta often though we most likely will not return to this restaurant.
The Yardbird was described as a boneless 1/2 of chicken. It was a chicken breast with the wing drummet bone still attached. So it’s neither boneless nor 1/2 a chicken. It was also too dry.
Everything else was good, especially the cocktails.
We apologize for coming up short on your meal. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the cocktails, and we look forward to extending a great meal to you on your next visit. Thank you for your comments.
Food was amazing, portion sizes were amazing, staff was so nice!
So wonderful to hear your comments. I will certainly convey to our Chef Marty Carlton as well as our staff! Appreciate it!
My wife and I love this place. It's in a great location and very cool. Our server TJ was a joy. We were disappointed that the pork chops we had there before was no longer offered I did enjoy my Georgia grits.
There was a speciality menu for Vidilia Onion week. The waitress was completely unfamiliar with the menu - Was unable to answer questions and when we ordered off the special menu, she was confused. The restaurant closed at 9PM. We arrived for 8PM reservations - At 8:35, the waitress came to our table to inform us that “last call” was in 10 minutes. At the time, our dinner hadn’t even been served. After we finished eating, at 9:09PM, we order cappuccino and dessert - we were informed that the “coffee station” was already shut down for the evening. The water dispensers were poured out, all the lights were turned on, and the bartender started running the dishwasher - The staff was definitely trying to encourage people (AKA: paying customers) to leave. All of this to be said, we were one of SEVEN tables in the restaurant still. I use to love White Oak Pre-Covid. After last night’s experience, I will not be back - Customer experience is obviously not a priority.... at all.
The food was subpar. Too much vinegar
Had an amazing time, food was great, staff was super attentive, they really made us feel comfortable!
Recommend the Deviled eggs appetizer and Collard Greens as a side for any dish!
The restaurant allowed us to make an 8:30pm reservation. We were seated at 8:35pm by the host and promptly told to order quickly (no menu provided) because the kitchen closed at 9pm. Why would they accept such a late reservation if they were not willing to give proper service? The waitress was very kind and understanding. However, I would not go back to this restaurant.
Decor and space was warm and quiet. The food was pretty good and the bar tender had a heavy pour, which was the best thing. But...service was super slow. We had to wait for an hour for very small serving sized food, we had to wait for 20 minutes for our drinks because the bartender was backed up. I ordered shrimp and grits and received 4 shrimp and 6 shrimp heads!! Expected more for the high price. WILL NOT RETURN.
Mussels were great. Burger was good. Everything else ok. Slow service during busy time.
Great experience. Our server was great at anticipating and proving great recommendations. I would visit again.
We were in from out of town and stumbled upon this place. The best restaurant we ate at our entire trip. Everything was super fresh, over the top delicious, and hands down the best and friendliest staff. It's a must go to spot!
Very good experience. I had ordered the fried chicken and it came out over down. They had ready started another plate. They switched it out and took it off the bill.
Worst server ever! She was a hot mess. Brought our bill and didn’t even realize we hadn’t received our meals yet. Yes you heard me correctly.
Waited 1 hour on food. Food was full of salt. Waitress was very nice and owner gave a gift card for another visit in future
Amazing food! Love the atmosphere and decor!
Very pleased with our night there!
