White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails

There was trouble with the service. We were a party of 8 on a tight schedule for an early Saturday evening dinner. I let the staff know ahead of time by phone and again, after drinks took way to long to come out. But once management found out they went above and beyond to make sure everything went right. This is the sign of an extremely well run business. Thanks to everyone at WOKC!
The food and ambiance were great; the wine and cocktails are unparalleled in Atlanta, but our service was slow, and required reminding for a few items, but it seemed to be more of a one-off problem than a systematic issue. We will definitely return.
Parboo was such a great part of this meal!!!! His recommendations were perfect and his personality made the evening! We enjoyed our food and drinks on the patio which was a little noisy, but that is really to be expected in a city environment. The drink menu is creative and fun. The food selection is terrific.
My husband & I were visiting Atlanta for a long weekend. We chose White Oak Kitchen because it was within walking distance of the Hilton Garden Inn. We were very happy with our selection. The ambience is a very chic rustic feel. We were seated immediately and our server, Liz, was very attentive through the whole meal. My husband ordered the Short Rib, which was extremely flavorful and cut with a fork. I ordered the Pecan Crusted Rockfish with a chanterelle succotash which was delicious! We ended with the pie of the day, Cherry Peach Crumble. The pie was very good but is served cold. When Liz asked us if we were enjoying it, we said we would recommend the chef heat it before serving it. She apologized and said she would inform him. Shortly after that the manager came over to say he was going to comp the pies since we were unhappy, which wasn’t the case at all! We told him it was unnecessary, just make sure customers are given the option to heat the pies if preferred. This restaurant really wants to make their customers happy. We highly recommend it as your next choice of restaurant when in Atlanta.
Great food quality, good portions, and great service.
Always quality food and great service. This is one of my favorite places downtown.
2.5 hours for food is absolutely ridiculous. Food was fine, perhaps a smidge overpriced but the wait time was just unacceptable. The food finally showed up as we almost decided to walk out. The server was reasonably attentive, food was fine, but the wait was unbearable
Celebrated my anniversary here and were treated amazingly!!! Enjoyed the food and service and will be back
A bit expensive. But great if you’re on expense account.
Great service, great food, great experience! I would definitely go back and recommend to others. The Beignets is a great appetizer starter; you almost won't want to share after the first bite. The Short Rib was amazing, i switched out my sides to the Herb Roasted Fingerling Potato and it matched well. Finished off with the Sweet Potato Beignets which were definitely a hit as well!
Nic.e decor and lively bar scene. Service was good. The food was mixed. Several sides were poorly cooked and remained uneaten at our table.
The crab cake was divine..by far the best item we had. Overall good service and good drinks made up for average fare....
The food was delicious. However, the area became very loud as the lunch hour filled in. Also, our waitress was very sweet and nice, however service time was pretty slow.
The food and service were great. Booked for a group of colleagues from around the country that were attending a conference downtown. Will definitely return again!
Our table for nine was ready when we arrived. The server was excellent and so was the food.
Very nice place and cozy environment. It's a lot bigger than you think as the rooms and table extend towards the back of the floor. Excellent food! Our server (Sean) was friendly, listened to our questions, and was very knowledgeable on the menu. His suggestion of the crab cake and pork shoulder were spot on. We didn't have dessert because we were so full from dinner, but I'm sure they are great. If I had one critique, it was the wait for the food. Appetizers came 15 minutes after we placed our order but the entree's took another 45 minutes. We were not in a hurry to get anywhere but would have liked it to come out a bit sooner. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for you!
Most excellent service and experience!
The food was wonderful and our waiter was great. Will have to make this a yearly tradition at DragonCon.
While all the food was very flavorful, the chicken was quite dry. The service was good. The place was nearly empty but the noise level was moderate because the space is a huge open area, would hate the be there when its busy. It is a little overpriced particularly the $10 for a single shot of Amaretto.... AND to add insult to injury an additional .50 cent charge, which the waitress could not explain to me what it was for and then said she would have it removed but in the end did not. Absolutely NO, I would not recommend the place when there are more quality places to eat the are more reasonably priced and the food and service is always consistent.
We came here for brunch buffet during Dragon Con and it was a pretty perfect. Food was delicious and service excellent. A little pricey, but worth having regular brunch food!
Rather disappointing that the White Oak makes little accommodations for vegetarians. That being said the halibut I had was outstanding. It had obviously been a busy day and our server was obviously overtaxed. Very noisy place.
White Oak was incredibly busy for DragonCon weekend, but as always they were at the top of their game. We got a patio table so we could dine and watch the festivities. Our server was awesome and attentive although he was pulled in a thousand directions. This place never fails us.
Delicious food, maybe not worth a whole $55 for buffet. But the service and food was amazing! No complaints.
The place was nice, great location. The quail was tiny and overcooked. A bit pricey
We make sure to visit this lovely downtown restaurant whenever we are visiting, and our server, Farai, was absolutely fantastic! Also, the shrimp beignets are phenomenal!
Had a lovely time for my annual Birthday dinner at Dragon Con. Myself and my large group of friends were well taken care of.
I took a supplier to dinner. The location is very convenient to downtown. The restaurant is very nice inside and can accommodate a larger party. We had an outstanding meal sharing deviled eggs as an appetizer, which were good. The heirloom tomato salad was amazing far exceeded my expectations. I enjoyed the braised short ribs; my associate enjoyed the fried chicken.I tasted the fried chicken as well I think the short ribs is a better dish. The braised short ribs were out of this world. We were so full we skipped dessert. Good value for a business dinner. I will come back.
Steak was weak. Asked for rare. Got well done.
Good food, good wine list (not great, but good). Would definitely recommend
Great food the service was great, great location
Food wasn’t to our taste . And our server barely came to table and made minimal eye contact .
The food and drinks at this restaurant are great .
Very good food, service was amazing. Would HIGHLY recommend the Ooey Gooey butter cake for dessert, it was absolutely delicious.
We come here after every work trip. Get the butter cake for dessert!
The restaurant is very nice, even a great place to throw a party. We had a small issue with getting our food in a timely manner, but the manager and waiter made all things right within minutes. Loved it! The food and service is amazing, would definitely return the next time I’m in town.
Staff was awesome. Best fried chicken in Atlanta. Peach salad over the top great. Drinks also very good. We will be back.
We celebrated a birthday with dinner at White Oak. Our server was friendly and helpful with cocktail selections. The food was delicious!
All the staff were great!
I took my mom to a special lunch . Mother and son time
Food is fresh and creative. Wine selection is nice. What sets it apart is service - friendly and competent staff!
