Business dinner. Amazing service and food. We’ve already recommended to many other people.
We had a nice dinner experience here. We chose it for an easy place to meet after work. The service was excellent, we both had an appetizer and salad and the food quality was very good.
This was my first time at this restaurant. Nice location and good ambiance.
We came to visit on our first night in Atlanta. This was the perfect place for our date because it was a very open, cleanly designed space with a view of the whole intersection. Perfect for people watching! The cocktails were good, the food was amazing (highly recommend the fried green tomatoes) and the service was impeccable. We saw a couple of tables of young professionals getting a drink after work, and it was refreshing to see everyone engaging around food and drink instead of being on their phones.
- excellent food
- very quiet for lunch
Food was perfectly prepared and very delicious. Visually, the presentation was very appealing.
Server was very rushed. Steak was over cooked and my entree lacked flavor and seasoning.
Food was good, not great, but good. The service was good, not great but friendly. The Kentucky Butter Cake was to DIE for!!
Always a great meal. try some of the unusual items they won't disappoint
While it is understood that dining establishments are currently suffering from severe staffing issues, there should be some oversight of the food that is being prepared and served. It would be better if the plates were later coming to the table rather than cold or undercooked.
I really want to like this restaurant. This is my 4th time to dine here over the years I have attended Americasmart. The food is good. A little on the expensive side. I wish they had the burger on the dinner menu because at the end of a long day of work, sometimes a burger, fries and wine would be just what was needed! It is on the lunch menu. We asked our server if they could prepare one for dinner, but she was so overwhelmed we never received an answer so we settled for something else on the menu. This leads to my main issue with the restaurant, the service is below average. Our server was new to the staff so I will give her some grace. She was very nice but clearly overwhelmed. I think the manager had to come around to refill water glasses at all of the tables! I know these are trying times to find enough staff for businesses to run efficiently, but this restaurant has this problem every year I visit. I am sad to say this was my last effort to like this restaurant. It's in a great location for downtown diners, the atmosphere is lovely, the food is good but the service is painful.
Not very accommodating or friendly.
I would say the way we were treated would not be defined as friendly.
Host on two occasions was borderline rude.
The service was great.
Every was very friendly and the food was very good
The menu was perfect, the food was delicious and our server, James was terrific! We will be back.
It’s hard to tell in this post covid world why a restaurant went bad but this one was awful. We were early for our reservation but were seated right away. Our server eventually came over and we ordered drinks. She told us they only had ketel one vodka. I when. Pressed she said it was her first day and that’s what she was told. So I ordered a ketel and the chief had her Prosecco. While waiting fir them to arrive I went to the men’s room and passed the bar where I saw they had several brands of vodka so I changed my order. It took 20mins for drinks to arrive. We ordered our food when they came. We split fried green tomatoes which were very good. Another server brought them out. No one came to clear plate or ask if we wanted anything else for a half an hour. I ordered wine and the chief had another Prosecco. These were served by our original server. 45 mins later we were STILL waiting for entrees and we’re completely ignored.
We finally had enough. I left money on the table fir the drinks and apps and we left. Terrible service. In fact NO service. Must be better places in Atlanta.
I was disappointed that the seared tuna salad was no longer on the menu.
We arrived on time for our reservation, our order was taken for drinks and later for dinner. Neither ever arrived and we left after waiting an hour. The server was lovely but helpless without support from the kitchen and bar.
The customer service was unacceptable during our lunch. On a workday, we waited over an hour for our food. During the wait, our server never once came over to check on us. An hour after we ordered, I managed to flag her down and I was told the kitchen was backed up and she couldn't do anything. The manager then came over and joked about me being hangry and offered a similar excuse about the kitchen being behind.
Due to staffing shortages what should take 45 minutes took 2.5 hours. Nice place, good food, very good servers, but took way too long and no warning ahead of time.
Conveniently located to our hotel. Drinks and services were very good but disappointed in the food.
Food was fantastic. Got us in little before our reservation. Servers were friendly and food came out quickly but no one checked on us in between food drops and waited over 20 minutes after we finished to have anyone ask about bringing our check
Danna was our server. She was awesome and really knowledgeable. The drinks, apps, and entrees were all delicious and amazing! We were visiting Atlanta so she even gave us a couple restaurant recommendations herself. Her service was above and beyond and we had a wonderful time at White Oak!
A must-do place to eat in Atlanta! Great service, great food, great everything!
Great chicken and service. Dessert was the best. Thanks for a good evening.
The decor was amazing. Service was great. Good cocktails and food was delicious
We came here at the last minute…after waiting outside for the OLG restaurant. Our waitress Danna was super nice!!! That WOKC burger was great!!! It hit the spot!
Southern fair with a twist, inspired on whiskey, bourbon distilleries from bygone eras. Amazing food. Butchers block was to die for, short ribs, chicken and fish seasoned and cooked to perfection. The butter cake was divine, the bourbon chocolate pie was toned down a bit. Cocktails were on point with creative renditions of classics. The place is very noisy. We sat indoors. I thought I was at a comedy show. Folks can get very loud and abnoxious in Atlanta.
We really liked the atmosphere and service, starting right when we walked in. Everyone had a great meal and our waitress was fantastic. Great place for dinner!
Like so many places a little slow due to being short staffed. But would have been nice if the manager could have helped the wait staff with getting the check paid. She had a lot of large tables. Food very good. Ambiance good.
Overpriced but decent food. No one was there, however. Extremely dead restaurant.
Restaurant was 1/3 of capacity. Our server timed the appetizer and entre on a slow tempo, which we like. However, when the entre came it was the wrong entre. We waited 25 minutes after our entre dishes were cleared to be approached about desert. By that time we decided to just get the check. I assume that the server never looked at the check because the charge included both the wrong entre and the correct entre. He fixed this mistake quickly.
I would say that the food was about average , the service poor and the wine list outstanding from a choice and price perspective.
We had a wonderful time. Loved the staff. Would recommend to anyone
The service was great; prompt and attentive. The Kentucky cake exceeded expectations.
The greeter and Bartender were both a little rude/catty with our party which was unprofessional but the food and service provided by our waitress was wonderful.
After waiting more than an hour the manager came and told us that the “kitchen had lost our ticket”. We had told the server well in advance that we needed to leave by a certain time to attend a play. The Mansger cancelled the bill for our appetizer and wine but what should have been a nice dinner was not.
Last night was our 1st time attending White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails ("WOKC") after hearing the food was good & a nice ambience. The food was indeed good! Service not so much. Meh! The host wasn't all that helpful when we called because we got lost. We had to pull answers out of him to get an idea of where they were. This restaurant is on the bottom floor of the GA Lottery HQ, so you have to park in nearby parking garages and/or lots, of which they don't validate parking, by the way, so add $10-20 on to your bill here. Our server just didn't have a personally, didn't introduce herself as our waitress, didn't check-in frequently to see if we needed/wanted anything, no small talk or menu suggestions & we were out on the patio. She covered the whole patio with about 4-5 tables that I could see. I may try them again after COVID is long gone & this labor shortage in the restaurant industry tempers down. I know they're struggling right now, which is why I had date night out last night.
TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!!!!! We took clients out for dinner and our CEO had to go up to the bar after 20 minutes to get drinks.
Beautiful restaurant, but not impressed with the food.
